Good morning and welcome to The Artist's Morning.
My name's Darius and I'm so grateful we get this time together.
The intention of our practice today will be to help you build confidence and momentum.
More specifically,
This practice is built for creators,
Spiritual creators,
And what I mean by that is anyone who has something inside their heart that they are longing to express in the world.
Now that can be anything,
That can be a business,
That could be a project,
That could be a painting,
That could be a relationship,
That could be an event.
There's something inside you that you want to create.
This meditation is intended to help you build some confidence and momentum to step towards that something.
Let's take a deep breath here.
Let's slow things down.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to close them now.
Gently,
Softly,
And notice what's alive inside your heart this morning.
How is your heart this morning?
Let's take a deep breath here and give ourselves a chance to land and to arrive here in our bodies.
How is your body this morning?
If you did a quick scan from the top of your head down to your feet,
Is there anywhere you are holding tension?
Is there anything you are ready to release?
If so,
With your inhale,
You are going to bring new energy in.
With your exhale,
You are going to release any energy you no longer need.
Breathing new life in.
Breathing old stagnant energy out.
Breathing creative energy in.
Breathing judgment and criticism out.
Breathing love,
Support,
Acceptance in.
Breathing fear,
Insecurity out.
What are you ready to let go of this morning?
What are you looking to call in this morning?
Let's take a moment here.
If you are open to it,
I'd like to invite you to place one hand on your heart,
One hand just above your belly,
And gently,
Lovingly,
Almost giving yourself a hug.
Feel your own embrace,
Feel your own support,
Letting our bodies know they are safe,
Moving our energy out of our heads and into our bodies.
You can place your hands down or keep them where they are.
I'm going to share some gratitude here,
As always,
If it resonates,
Take it in.
If it doesn't,
Let it float away.
Thank you body.
Thank you beloved human for everything you do.
Thank you heart for caring so much.
Thank you for all the opportunities we get to create,
To express,
To collaborate with really interesting humans.
Thank you to our courage.
It takes courage to carve out some time just for yourself to go into your heart,
To feel what's alive.
Thank you to our voice.
Even when our voice shakes,
Even when we can't find our voice,
It is there.
And when we are ready,
We will share it with the world.
Thank you to our hands.
Thank you for everything we have created with these hands,
Everything we have touched with these hands.
Thank you to our feet and our legs for allowing us to travel through this world.
Thank you for our spines,
Our backs,
And any support system we have inside,
Outside,
Any group,
Any friend,
Any family.
Thank you for the support all around us.
Sometimes we miss it.
Sometimes we're zoomed too far in,
But it is there.
We are here and it is now.
It is now.
You are here now.
We are here now in this moment.
And in this moment,
Through gratitude,
Through positive affirmations,
We have created an opening in the universe,
An opening in time and space.
And the opportunity available to you in this moment is to step in to a future time and space.
If you look directly in front of you,
There is a door,
A beautiful,
Magical door,
And you can see through the cracks around the door's edge that there is a bright,
Radiant light on the other side of that door,
And you do not need to step towards the door or through the door,
But if you choose to,
On the other side of the door is you in a future time and place.
And that version of you is in absolute joy,
In abundance,
In success,
Is you creating at the highest level,
Enjoying the entire process.
And I don't know where you will be or what you will be doing,
But you do.
And I want to offer this up that you can come back to this meditation at any time and go through that door,
And you might be in a slightly different place and in a different time doing a different thing.
So that part of you that wants to get this right,
We don't need that part in this moment.
You can't get it wrong.
This is play.
This is joy.
And maybe you will see a clear vision,
And maybe you will see flashes of a vision,
And maybe you will see nothing but you will feel.
There's no right or wrong way of doing this.
The invitation is to step forward,
Place your hand on that doorknob,
And to step through,
And to have some fun.
There's one song left.
I'm going to stay quiet and let you decide what experience you will create this morning.
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Bravo,
Dear creator.
However open you were to this experience,
However resistant you might have been,
You made it to the end,
And for that I am grateful.
Let's take one last deep breath here and come back to our bodies,
Back to our seats.
Breathing in,
Holding at the top,
And letting it all go.
For those joining live at the artist morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and allow us to do some private personal journaling.
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on insight timer,
Of course you can do the same.
Thank you for meditating with me,
My name's Darius,
And I will see you next time.
