This is purely an intro to a series of meditations that are better related to the life that we lead. When we begin to realize that we meditate not to get better at meditating, we meditate to get better at being a human. Can we learn to rest and let everything be? Nothing proper or improper, not good or bad, just movement.. Like the lungs breathe, the ears hear and the mind thinks. We learn to rest and watch all the movement of life, the sounds, the imperfections, the incomparable you.

G'day and welcome thank you so much for your time be it morning evening night late night wherever you are thank you so much now I've put together a series of meditations now I've entitled them real meditations not because these are more real than the other ones I think purely based on feedback from all of you amazing people and thank you so much for that please keep it coming now real meditations all these meditations I've done outside I think because people have been saying that you know there was too much noise in the background that maybe the recording wasn't perfectly done that there was distractions or whatever during it that puts you off now meditation is not about perfection the reality of us is that we are imperfect and it's about embracing that imperfection so all of these meditations are done outside you're gonna hear planes passing things clicking dogs walking people soaring things birds chirping maybe even people passing by having a conversation and that's not because I'm being lazy but meditation is not about sitting in silence with no anything for 10 minutes practicing open-hearted connection compassion whatever and then getting up off that cushion and being an asshole now meditation is an opportunity for exploration and reflection to help you become familiar with you you get to watch how you react to things watch the inner reactive process I've watched the workings of the mind and with these opportunities we can meet them with kindness with compassion and ultimately what we need to do is not just do that for 10 minutes it's about living it having 24-7 of reflection opportunity know all distractions all emotions all frustrations can be an opportunity for practice all the sounds of life can be an opportunity for practice just to listen to see the smell to taste and as we begin to look at life in this way the reality of this forever changing nature of life that we live within it helps us to simplify we begin to become more acquainted with this sort of rested very non-judgmental part of us that just enjoys or seems to enjoy even the word enjoys and a great description but just seems to sort of rest and notice and we can rest into that sense of awareness whenever we want not just 20 minutes a day so I want you to do your best to try and enjoy or embrace is probably a better word the distractions the wind that blows the birds that sing the planes that pass the cars that drive the people that talk the banging that happens so again thank you so much for your time I truly hope that you embrace these meditations as they're supposed to as always I would love your feedback please have an amazing rest of your day

Thank you for sharing. I always find your recordings thoughtful and engaging and especially love the real ness of your settings 😁. Maybe it’s a matter of perspective because I live in a busy downtown area full of horns honking, loud people, barking dogs. I’m also I’m trying to take in something I heard on a darma talk by not ‘bothering’ the noise. 🙏🦋💫
