Hi everyone,

My name is Dr.

Dani Lockwood and today we are going to do a meditation on releasing overwhelm.

We are living in uncertain times,

That's for sure.

And fear tends to lead to this feeling of overwhelm,

Like we can't quite take on one more thing.

The best way to combat that is to move through it.

So we are going to use meditation and breathing to help us move through overwhelm.

Find a comfortable seat and let's get started.

Start by placing your feet on the floor if you can.

Place your hands in your lap.

Take a deep breath in.

As you breathe out,

Allow your shoulders to come down away from your ears.

Allow weight to come into your body.

A heaviness,

Almost like you're awakening on one of those mornings where your bed is nice and snuggly and maybe there's rain outside or just the sound of wind going through the trees.

Be there.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Think about a time when things were very simple,

When your world was very easy,

Where you felt like,

I'll just get this done,

No problem.

Feel that feeling inside of you of accomplishing something,

Of allowing something to just be done.

Imagine what it would be like to just feel like,

Instead of having 20 things on your mind,

You just decided that three was enough.

And when those three were finished,

You'd celebrate with your whole body.

Maybe play some of your favorite music or jump up and down or go laugh and run and play with your family and friends.

Maybe just go outside and listen to some birds.

Or if you're near water,

Listen to the water,

Listen to the ocean.

Breathe in and feel what it's like in your body to feel completion.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

And with every moment that you sit or lay,

Feel that you've accomplished the thing that you needed to do,

Just one step at a time.

Everything all at once.

Breathe in.

And breathe out.

One thing at a time.

Allow your chest to open.

Allow your body to unsqueeze.

Allow your feet to feel heavy and your hands to feel heavy.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

And just for a few more minutes,

Allow all the things that you're worrying out to come straight into your mind and then float them in front of you as if they're separate from your mind.

And imagine that beautiful wind that you can hear outside of your door or window or maybe that one time you were at the ocean or the river.

Allow it to just blow these worries away from you,

Out of you.

Float away from you like leaves blowing in the wind.

And slowly allow it to just melt away from your body like a fog lifting from your brain.

And every out breath allows it to come to the surface more and more.

As it comes to the surface,

You feel stronger,

More solid in who you are and what you can accomplish.

You let go of this idea that it has to be perfect.

You let go of all the moments where you feel like you couldn't get it all done.

You let go of the realization that balance is futile and that just making one step at a time is great,

Is enough.

That you are enough.

That what you get done for today is enough.

Breathe into that feeling of being enough.

Let it rise in you.

Let it make you stronger.

Feel more grounded,

More able,

More centered.

And these things going on in your life,

They can be conquered.

They can be achieved.

One step at a time.

One task at a time.

Not too much,

But just enough.

And when they're done,

You will celebrate.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Let the rhythm uplift you.

Take you to where you need to go.

Without worry.

Without overwhelm.

Just peace.

Centering.

Grounding.

Anything is possible.

Just breathe.

Breathe out.

Just breathe.

Just breathe.

Just keep breathing.

Slowly,

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Wiggle your toes.

Feel grounding.

Feel the centeredness.

Feel like whatever you need to do,

It can be done.

One step at a time.

Thank you for being with me today.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Until next time.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.
