Hello everyone and welcome to this yoga nidra meditation designed to balance and heal the heart chakra.
The heart chakra is the energy center located at the center of your chest,
Near your physical heart.
It serves as the bridge between the lower three chakras associated with the physical realm and the upper three chakras connected to the spiritual realm.
The heart chakra is responsible for love,
Compassion,
Empathy and connection.
It governs our ability to give and receive love and it influences our relationships with ourselves and others.
When the heart chakra is in balance,
We experience harmony,
Forgiveness and a deep sense of peace.
However if this chakra is blocked or in balance,
We may struggle with feelings of loneliness,
Resentment or an inability to open ourselves up to love.
In this meditation,
We will journey into the realm of the heart chakra,
Allowing ourselves to heal and restore balance to this energy center.
So get ready and find a comfortable position lying down on your back.
Just take a few moments just to settle in.
Make your final adjustments.
Lying down on your back with your arms relaxed by your sides,
Palms facing upwards.
Close your eyes and gently bring your attention to your breath.
Take a deep inhale through your nose,
Filling your stomach with air and exhale fully,
Releasing any tension or stress from your day.
In and out.
In and out.
Just letting go more and more with each breath,
Settling deeper and deeper into the earth.
Now bring your awareness to your physical body,
Starting from the top of your head,
Slowly scan down through your body,
Releasing any tension or tightness that you may feel along the way.
Relax your forehead,
Soften your eyebrows and let your eyes sink into their sockets.
Release any tension in your jaw,
Allowing your mouth to gently part.
Continue to relax your neck,
Shoulders,
Letting them sink into the floor beneath you.
Allow your arms to feel heavy and relaxed,
Palms open to receive.
Relax your chest and stomach,
Feeling your breath flow naturally in and out.
Your hips,
Your thighs,
Knees and your calves.
Let your feet gently fall open,
Completely at ease.
Take a moment to observe your body now,
Feeling a sense of deep relaxation and surrender.
Just know that you are safe and supported throughout this practice.
Now bring your attention to the center of your chest,
To the area of your heart chakra.
There's a vibrant green energy spinning and radiating from this point.
This energy is pure love,
Compassion and healing.
As you breathe in,
Imagine this green energy expanding,
Filling your entire chest cavity.
Feel it spreading warmth,
Love and kindness to every cell of your body.
Allow any tensions or blockages within your heart chakra to dissolve and be replaced by this healing energy.
As you exhale,
Release any negative emotions or past hurts that may be stored within your heart chakra.
Let them dissolve and be carried away on your breath.
Feel a sense of lightness and freedom as you let go of what no longer serves you.
Continue to visualize this green energy expanding beyond your body,
Extending out into the space around you.
Feel a deep connection to the world around you,
Knowing that love flows freely and abundantly.
Now let's continue our practice,
Staying focused on the breath,
Further deepening your connection to the heart chakra.
We will count the breaths backwards from 27,
Allowing each breath to bring you closer to a state of inner balance and harmony.
Begin by inhaling deeply through your nose,
Counting silently to yourself,
27.
Exhale fully and completely,
Releasing any tension or stress from your body,
27.
Inhale again,
Allowing the breath to fill your lungs and expand your chest,
26.
Exhale letting go of any remaining tension or worries,
26.
Continue this breathing pattern on your own,
Counting backwards from 25 to 1,
With each breath guiding you deeper into a state of peace and balance,
Breathing and counting,
Allowing each inhalation to energize and uplift you,
And each exhalation to release and let go.
As you progress,
Notice how your breath naturally becomes slower and deeper,
Inviting a sense of calm and relaxation.
Take your time and allow yourself to fully immerse in the rhythm of your breath,
Letting go of any distractions and surrendering to the healing energy of the heart chakra.
Wherever you are in the counting,
Simply stop and return to a natural effortless breath.
Now,
I invite you to repeat the following affirmations,
Silently or aloud.
As you do,
Feel the truth of these statements resonating deeply within your being,
Healing and balancing your heart chakra.
I am worthy of love and compassion.
I forgive myself and others for any past hurts.
I open myself to giving and receiving love fully.
My heart is overflowing with gratitude and joy.
I am connected to all beings in a web of love and compassion.
Allow each affirmation to sink deeply into your consciousness,
Nurturing and revitalizing your heart chakra.
Feel the power of love flowing through you,
Healing any wounds and restoring balance.
Now,
Release the practice of repeating affirmations and allow yourself to rest in stillness.
Surrender to the present moment and simply observe your breath.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest,
The rhythm of life flowing through you.
As you rest,
Allow any insights,
Emotions or sensations to arise without judgment.
Simply observe them with an open heart.
Allow the energy of the heart chakra to heal and transform these emotions into love and compassion.
Just sit here in silence for a few minutes before I gradually bring you back.
As you come back from this deep space,
Just come back to your normal breath.
Feel the belly rising and falling with every breath.
Just know that you can return to this practice anytime you need to reconnect with your heart chakra and restore balance.
Anytime you feel stressed or overwhelmed,
Come back to your breath and use it to remember this tranquil feeling.
As this practice comes to an end,
Bring your attention back to your body,
Gently wiggling your fingers and toes,
Just in your own pace,
Slowly turning that into some bigger movements,
Maybe taking a big stretch.
Just stay here for as long as you need.
Just whenever you are ready,
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Slowly open your eyes.
Just take one more moment here to express gratitude for this time dedicated to healing and balancing your heart chakra.
Carry this energy of love,
Compassion and connection with you as you move throughout your day,
Sharing this beautiful energy with the world.
