Hi,
This is Dana Mitchell and thank you for joining me today for this meditation.
This meditation is to help with indecision,
Second-guessing,
And developing inner trust.
Are you feeling stuck between two choices?
Going back and forth or playing conversations in your head?
Wondering how your choice will land with other people and maybe undecided in what you should do?
This is a place for us to pause.
You don't need to decide everything right now.
You don't need to explain yourself to anyone.
In this meditation,
We're going to slow things down,
Quiet that mental noise,
And help you reconnect with the part of you that already knows what feels true once all that pressure is lifted.
Now get comfortable.
You can either sit down or lie down and close your eyes if it feels safe to do so.
Now take a deep breath in and let it out.
Take another deep breath in,
Holding it a little longer and letting it out.
And as you breathe at your own pace,
Remind yourself that you've been holding on to a lot in your mind.
Right now,
Your only job is to rest.
Now allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw to release.
Maybe your mouth opens just a little bit.
There's nothing to solve in this moment.
Just allow yourself to relax.
Now imagine you're standing at a quiet fork in the road,
Two directions.
Neither are wrong,
Neither are urgent,
But you find that you've been walking back and forth between the two places,
Weighing,
Comparing,
Information gathering,
Working really hard to try to predict the outcomes,
Imagining reactions,
Wondering how each choice is going to look to everyone else.
And gently,
Without judgment,
Notice how much tension comes from all of those imagined voices,
From other people,
What someone might think,
What someone might say,
What someone might say.
You don't need to push those thoughts away,
Just notice them and then set them aside,
Down beside the path.
It feels like shedding a coat that you no longer need.
Now imagine stepping back from the fork,
Just a couple of steps from that split in the road.
From here,
You don't have to choose.
From here,
You can ask a different question.
Which direction lets me feel more like myself?
You're allowed to choose what fits,
Even if it doesn't make sense to everyone else.
You're allowed to make choices that don't require someone else's approval.
You're allowed to move forward without having every single answer.
Trust doesn't mean certainty,
It means love.
It's listening to what steadies you.
Not perfection,
Just one single step ahead.
Now allow yourself to imagine a few weeks from now.
You've chosen one small step,
Not a whole plan,
Just one step.
Notice the relief in your body.
Not because everything is solved,
Not because you have a full game plan,
But because the indecision is gone.
You took one path.
You stepped away from the fork in the road.
Notice that relief in your body.
Not because everything is solved,
But because that indecision is now gone.
You trusted yourself to move ahead.
You trusted yourself,
And that matters more than getting it all perfect.
Now as you take a deep breath in,
You don't have to decide today,
But you can stop doubting yourself today.
And when you're ready,
Return to the room gently and calmly,
Feeling grounded,
Calmer,
And more clear,
And ready to take that very next step.
