Welcome to the meditation.
I am Dana Mitchell,
Your guide.
And this is a closed eye meditation.
Make sure that you are not driving a vehicle or working any heavy machinery.
You want to be able to lay down flat or sit up straight in a chair.
And close your eyes so that you can relax.
And we'll get started right now.
Sit back.
And close your eyes.
In a very few moments.
You're going to be more relaxed.
Than you've ever known yourself to be.
Imagine.
An unlit candle.
Sitting right in front of you.
Any sort of candle.
Perhaps it's tall.
And elegant.
A tall,
Elegant candle.
Or short.
And stubby candle.
The candle could be modern.
Or old.
Wax stripping off.
Are brand new.
A candle.
Can be any color you like.
In this candle.
Can be scented with an aroma.
That you find comforting and relaxing.
If you inhale slowly and deeply.
In through your nose.
You may be able to smell faintly the candle's smell.
In a few moments.
I will ask you to light this candle.
When you light this candle.
You will feel instantly,
Deeply relaxed.
Relax.
And your mind begins to wander.
And Flickr.
And wander.
Wandering off.
Into its own swirling thoughts.
So I'd like you to light this candle now.
Feeling deeper and deeper relaxed.
Your mind's eye.
Just gazes.
In the flickering flame.
As your thoughts begin.
Address.
And float.
Loading now.
Like the smoke that disperses into the air.
You may also be aware.
Of the scent of the candle.
Becoming stronger.
And stronger.
As you feel more.
And more relaxed.
Travel sickness.
Or motion sickness.
Is caused when your eyes and ears send mixed messages to your brain.
Your ears contain sort of a gyroscope.
A device.
This device detects when you are moving.
And what position you are in.
This device knows with some certainty.
That you're moving.
Or not.
When you are moving in some sort of vehicle.
Wine.
Train.
Or amusement park rides.
Your eyes are staying still.
The device in your ears.
Is telling you that you are moved.
Because it can detect all of the small movements.
Consciously.
You are fully aware of the situation.
Consciously.
You know that you are not moving while aboard.
A moving object.
Your conscious mind.
Understands exactly.
What is going on?
However,
Unconsciously.
Your mind is not yet aware of it.
All we need to do.
Is communicate.
To your unconscious mind.
What is happening.
In this situation.
And then there will no longer be any confusion.
Allowing our own conscious and unconscious mind.
To be in harmony.
To be in balance.
And that is what I'm going to do.
I would like to once again allow your mind to wander.
Like when you used to daydream as a child.
Not a care in the world.
As your mind calmly drifts.
After a while,
You'll begin to see an image forming in your mind.
As this image slowly forms.
You'll see a dark.
Small movie screen.
And the image of the movie screen.
Becomes clearer.
And clearer.
And even clearer.
As the image becomes clear.
You'll notice a grainy number 10 in the center of the screen.
In a few moments.
I will count down from 10 to one.
With every number I count.
You will see the number gently flashing on your movie screen.
That I'd like you to know.
That you will feel deeply relaxed.
With every number.
That I can't.
From 10.
To one.
As you watch that brainy number flicker.
And flash.
As I reach number one.
You'll feel perfectly relaxed.
Allowing your mind to drift.
To some pleasant,
Relaxing place.
So ready?
Tan.
Taking in a deep breath.
And letting it out any way you feel comfortable.

More and more relaxed.

Relaxing deeper and deeper now.
Six.

Deeper and deeper relaxed.

So relax now.
And 1.
All the way down,
So deeply relax.
Allowing your mind to drift.
To daydream.
To wonder.
To pleasant and relaxing places.
And I'd like you to know,
No matter where your mind wanders,
My voice will travel with you.
Even if you're not consciously aware of it.
Your own conscious mind will listen and absorb.
All of the suggestions that I'm about to give you.
I'd like to explain something of great importance.
Something that will help your unconscious mind.
Take even greater care of you.
I'd like to explain.
About traveling.
Let's begin by bringing up that movie screen again.
I'd like you to project an image of yourself on the screen.
I'd like you to see yourself as clearly as you can.
On the movie screen.
As an observer.
Notice what you're wearing.
Is it in color?
Are black and white.
Notice where you're sitting.
Notice if you have anything with you,
Like a suitcase or a bag.
Or maybe it's nothing at all.
I'd like you to watch yourself on the screen.
Getting into the car.
Feeling perfectly balanced and at ease.
Now watch as an observer as the car slowly starts to move with you in it.
And remaining perfectly comfortable.
And at ease.
I'd like for you to continue to observe yourself in the car.
Almost like watching a film.
Where one of the characters looks like you.
Observe yourself from a distance.
While the car goes up.
And down hills.
Around corners.
Goes over pump.
All the while feeling perfectly comfortable.
And balanced.
Now you can see.
And although you were sitting relatively still.
You are being moved around because of the car's movements,
Not your own.
I like your unconscious mind.
To understand that although you are not moving,
Your ears may detect some movement.
Because of the movement of the car.
And that is fine,
As long as you understand.
That the car is moving.
Your eyes are not detecting much movement.
But your ears are.
And that is perfectly normal.
For the situation.
You are in when traveling in a moving vehicle.
I'd like your unconscious mind to now assimilate.
The image of traveling in a car now.
Your unconscious mind now understands exactly what is happening.
When you are traveling.
Your unconscious mind can now make sense of the signals that it is receiving when traveling in a moving vehicle.
And this can apply to any moving vehicle.
You now know.
That when your ears detect movement and the vehicle is moving.
All is well.
Safe.
Balanced,
Relaxed.
Traveling is fun.
And you are balanced,
Safe,
Relaxed,
And having fun.
This can be on a plane.
Bus.
Train.
Car.
Motorcycle.
Or even a ride at an amusement park.
Like a rollercoaster or Ferris wheel.
Carousel or a 3D or a 4D cinema experience.
You deeply understand that you are moving in a vehicle despite what your eyes are telling you.
If you are in any doubt.
You can look outside if possible.
And confirm with your eyes what they are telling you.
I'd like to thank your unconscious mind for listening to me.
And for allowing me to help you take even greater care of yourself.
And for understanding the balance.
That in fact exists when traveling in vehicles.
So you now feel perfectly balanced and at ease.
When traveling.
As both your conscious and unconscious mind.
Now know exactly what is going on.
And from now on anytime you travel in a moving vehicle.
You will notice.
That it now feels different.
And you will be able to feel.
In some way.
That is unique to you.
That you now so deeply understand.
Although you are still on board a moving object.
That this is perfectly fine.
And normal.
That it understands the signals that your ears and eyes are sending.
Forever,
You will now remain settled.
Balanced and at ease when traveling.
Return to your movie screen now.
See yourself traveling in a car.
Feeling amazed,
Balanced,
Happy,
Energized,
Having fun.
You love to travel.
As I count from one to five.
You'll become more aware,
More alert.
Returning to a wakeful state.
And feeling wonderful and refreshed.
One.
Integrating all the suggestions you've received.
And everything you've learned.
Two.
The faculty is returning now.
As you become more aware of your surroundings.
Three.
Allow yourself to gently return to a wakeful awareness.
Four,
Nice,
Deep,
Big stretch.
Reach out your arms and your legs.
And five open up your eyes feeling awake feeling wonderful and refreshed You're wide awake now.
