Let's start by finding a comfortable position to sit in.
You could be sitting in a chair with your feet flat on the floor or on a cushion with your legs crossed.
Just make sure your spine is straight with a natural curve and your shoulders are back and down.
Keep your chin tucked slightly and just have a dignified posture.
And then just relax your body and close your eyes down gently.
Take a couple of deep breaths into the nose,
Out through the mouth and just land in your body.
Now let's get out of our minds and be in our bodies and however that feels for you today.
Just settle in and experience this.
Your body on the cushion,
Grounded to the earth below you.
Your crown of your head growing tall towards the sky.
Experience the entire body and all the space around you.
Let's begin scanning from the top of our heads,
Through our forehead and our eyes.
Just looking for any tension through our face and the back of our heads,
Into your neck and shoulders,
Down the arms,
Hands and just asking anything you find to soften.
Continue on through your torso,
From the top of your spine all the way to the base,
Just relaxing everything you find.
Moving through your pelvis,
Down your hips and legs.
Just letting relaxation just pour all the way out through the bottoms of your feet.
And just breathe with that,
Really allowing yourself to land.
And whatever you're feeling in your body,
Realize those things that you're not feeling right now.
So if you suffer from headaches and you're not having a headache right now,
Realize that you don't have one.
Be grateful for not having that pain.
If you tend to have problems with your shoulders and it causes pain from your work or back pain,
Just breathe in to that area,
Asking you to soften.
And if you're not experiencing that pain,
Just be okay with that and grateful for that too.
You can say to yourself,
I'm not in pain right now and this feels great.
We tend to forget about it when pain goes away,
But the body remembers.
So honor the body and love the body for where it is right now.
Whether the sensations you're experiencing are pleasant,
Unpleasant or neither.
Just love your body this way.
Just breathing into your body,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Working with the experience that this is for you right now in this breath and this breath.
Breathing in through your nose and out through your nose.
Just feel your body breathing.
And just the act of breathing is an act of self-love in and of itself.
When we breathe,
We oxygenate our blood and our brain and all our cells.
And breathing out,
We let go of stale energy and tension.
Breathing in calm and breathing out tension.
Just get a really good sense of what your inner landscape is offering you today and accept it for what it is.
As thoughts come into your field,
Just let them pass by.
Don't cling to any stories and go back to your breath.
Now I want you to think of a person that you love dearly.
And as you're thinking of this person,
Hold them in your heart and feel the sensations of love in your body.
Where are they?
Are you feeling it in your chest?
In your heart?
Or somewhere else?
Or all over through every cell?
Wherever you feel it,
Just breathe into this.
Maybe it's a sensation of warmth,
An openness,
Or joy,
Or all of these.
Focus on the physical feeling of love.
Now,
I want you to visualize walking into the room.
You open the door,
And it's a big beautiful room.
And once you're inside,
You see it's beautiful and it's relaxing.
On the other side,
Up against a wall,
You see a large gilded mirror resting.
You walk over to the mirror and sit down in front of it.
As you look into the mirror,
You see yourself looking back at you,
And you're filled with a sense of love.
And what's the physical expression?
What's your posture looking like?
Or the expression on your face?
Are you smiling?
Do you notice a brightness to your eyes?
Just look into your eyes,
And as you do,
Tell yourself,
I love you.
I love you so much.
I love you unconditionally.
With the love in your body,
Just expand and permeate every cell of your being.
I love you.
I love you unconditionally.
I love you,
Body,
Heart,
And mind.
And just feel with that love that surrounds you.
Just feel it.
It's that orb of white light.
Now closing your eyes,
I want you to think of another person you love and feeling that energy that you created,
That white light.
As you breathe,
Grow the energy.
It expands up and down and all around you.
And using your breath,
Send it to that person so the light encases them in the orb as well.
On your inhale,
Feel the energy within you,
And on the exhale,
Send it directly to that person.
And with each inhale,
Feeling energy,
And each exhale,
Sending more loving energy surrounding both of you.
And as you breathe,
You're both surrounded in the orb of white light.
And then think of all the beings around you,
Those you know and those you don't know,
All the animals,
The insects,
The trees,
The earth itself.
And as you breathe,
Start to send that light out to everything.
Still feel love radiating within you and sending it outward with each exhale.
You're a part of everything,
And everything is a part of you.
Just breathe that love and that orb to everything.
And everything you touch throughout the course of the day,
You'll bring love to it.
It impacts your relationships and all your interactions,
And it really impacts your relationship with yourself.
Breathing in that love,
Feeling it within your body,
And sending it out to everything around you,
All being sent with love.
Now taking a deep breath in and letting everything go,
And still feeling the physical sensation of love.
And start to feel the sensations in your body as well,
And love each and every one of them,
No matter what the feeling tone.
And taking a deep breath in and letting it go through your mouth.
And another breath in and out through the mouth.
And whenever you're ready,
Gradually blink your eyes open and come back into your room.
