Good morning.

Let's start this morning out by settling into our bodies,

Taking a posture that's comfortable but alert.

And even though you've just woken up,

Finding a posture that you can be awake in but still be relaxed and soft in the body.

Maybe beginning this morning by taking a couple of energetic breaths,

Breathing in,

Drawing oxygen from the earth,

Moving it up the spine,

And then releasing it down the front body on your exhale.

Breathing in,

Drawing oxygen up the spine,

And exhaling,

Letting it move down the front body.

And let's do that one more time.

Breathing in and letting go.

Just breathe normally,

Becoming aware of your body,

Your mind,

And all emotion,

Whatever is here now,

Letting it be as it is.

Being aware of the flavor of this morning.

And as you breathe naturally,

Coming into stillness,

Just being here,

Letting go of anything that's left over energetically from the night's sleep.

Being aware of your internal landscape.

What's it like now?

And with the intention of just being present to this moment here and now,

Not planning for your day,

But taking this time to just be with yourself.

And it might be the only time today that you can center and ground yourself.

So becoming aware of the sensations of your breath.

Becoming aware of the qualities of your breath.

Is it long,

Slow,

Deep breath?

Or maybe it's shallow and quick this morning.

No need to do anything,

Just becoming aware of what it is like this morning for you.

And thoughts will inevitably arise.

Letting go of any stories or identifications and just being with all that's here in this moment,

This awakened,

Aware moment.

Being aware of all the shifts that may be happening.

Maybe your energy is becoming brighter or clearer as you shed sleep.

Or maybe your energy is calm and easeful.

Letting it be.

It's all part of your awareness.

And letting go of any judgment of how things should be in your experience.

They're just here as they are now.

Just spending this time in the morning allows you to center yourself.

And you can tap into that any time during your day.

Just by breathing in,

Feeling your body,

And becoming still for just a moment.

Noticing how everything awakens in its own time.

Each morning,

We wake up slowly.

Whether we jump up quickly or linger from our bed,

We still have our own time with which we awaken.

So just honoring your body and your mind.

And by establishing a morning practice,

You invite present moment awareness into your day.

And if you feel the need to increase your energy,

Place your awareness on your in-breath intentionally,

Breathing in and just breathing out.

Breathing in oxygen and awakening all your cells.

Exhaling all leftover energy from the evening sleep.

Just noticing how your body is right here and now.

Maybe becoming aware of shifting sensations.

Noticing how the in-breath changes sensations within your body.

Maybe feeling a little more awake now and including this in your awareness,

Just being with it all.

And maybe taking some gentle movement in your shoulders and then your neck.

Noticing your body as you ease into your day.

And then slowly opening your eyes and taking in sight,

Including sight in your awareness.

What are you aware of in your surroundings now?

And as we end the practice,

Honoring yourself again for taking this time in the morning before the day unfolds,

Knowing you can always recenter when your activities are very busy.

Just by grounding yourself in your body,

Breath,

And being present to a moment of stillness.

Now I will ring the bell,

Ending the practice.

Have a beautiful day.
