Welcome to the movement session,
Expanding Space.
I'm your guide,
Kuchira.
Today's lesson will be done with a black screen.
It is an audio session.
I do this so that outer distractions are as limited as possible,
And we can focus in on our inner worlds.
Throughout the session,
I ask you to keep moving,
Even if the movement is soft,
Subtle,
Maybe not even visible to the eye.
The movement can be as big or small,
Loud or quiet,
Quick or slow as it needs to be.
We are not at all concerned about the way the movement looks.
We want to more focus in on what the movement is saying,
What the movement speaks,
The body talk that happens through sensations,
Feelings,
Emotions,
And all of that occurs while being present.
That is why it's best to hold this session in a comfortable,
Safe space with no interruptions.
The main goal of the movement sessions are to focus inwards,
To give yourself time patiently and compassionately to listen to the self.
Your body,
Your vessel is so wise and often ignored or overpowered by the mind.
This is a beautiful opportunity to move within the self and listen.
Go ahead and find a comfortable space in the room to sit,
Stand or lay,
Whatever feels best for you.
Throughout the session,
This will be the number one and only rule.
Follow your needs.
Whatever your body asks of you,
May that be to cry,
To laugh,
To sing,
To walk,
To sit,
To stretch.
In the various ways that it speaks,
Now is the opportunity to listen and respond without judgment.
My words are simply a guidance so that your mind can take a vacation.
Follow them or let them float away at your discretion.
Come back to them when needed and when my voice disappears into the background,
Trust that and follow yours.
As you root into the space,
Close your eyes,
Come into your body,
And we'll just be here with ourselves for a couple moments.
Come into the breath,
Which simply means to notice it.
Come into the breath,

Notice it.
Come into any sensations that might already be speaking.
Notice them,
Tingling,
Warmth,
Cooling,
Itching,
Shakiness,
And so on and so forth.
Come into the energy that surrounds you,
Notice it.
Today we'll be playing a lot with expanding this spatial energy around us.
Oftentimes throughout my day,
As I'm walking or sitting or working,
Even resting,
I can feel a bubble of energy that surrounds me,
That protects me,
That holds me,
That hugs me and embraces me.
I try to protect the energy in that bubble as much as I can.
I understand that it is the closest to me.
Constantly speaking,
With a massive vibrational pull.
Maybe even right now as you find yourself in this space,
You can feel the vibrations moving around you.
Feel them sing,
Dance,
Whisper.
So today's class is going to be about seeing if we can expand this energetic bubble around us to create more room,
More space for us to move free within the body and beyond.
Inhale.
Exhale,
See if you can expand the space around you a little wider.
Inhale nice and calm.
Exhale,
Let the natural movements start coming into the body.
Continue with the rhythm of this breath.
Continue with these soft subtle movements,
Maybe a soft shoulder roll,
Letting the head hang from side to side.
Some pubic engagements or rolls.
Opening up the vocal cords with some ah's and some shoo's and some ah's.
Let's find the rhythm of this dance with the breath.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Let the breath dance through the body.
Exhale.
Continue on your own.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
As you continue to create your music with breath and soft movements,
Imagine there's a grid around you,
Parallel and vertical lines,
Expanding as far as you can feel.
Every inhale,
The lines expand vertically up and down.
Every exhale,
They expand horizontally,
East and west.
Inhale vertically.
Use the body to feel the sensation.
Exhale,
Horizontal.
You might even maybe want to use your arms upwards on the inhale to the sides on the exhale.
Let the movement change as it wishes.
Inhale up to down.
Exhale side to side.
Inhale up to down.
Root to rise.
Exhale side to side.
Nice and wide.
Continue on your own.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Now let's find the diagonal rhythms and lines on our grid.
From corner to corner.
Reaching as far as the body,
Mind,
Spirit,
Soul can feel,
See,
Touch and move.
Spreading your wings from corner to corner.
Corner to corner.
As wide as possible.
Expanding the space.
Expanding your bubble of energy.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Exhale.
Within the grid of parallel,
Vertical and diagonal lines,
Start to see the circles that connect all of those empty spaces.
Drawing out the circle within the grid.
Using the body as the pencil.
Connecting the breath to the body.
Releasing the mind into the flow of the movement.
Big circles and small circles.
As many as one can find.
Once you're able to find the circles and the lines in the body,
See if you can connect them to the circles and the lines happening in the space.
It'll feel like an inner and outer experience connected.
Oneness.
A blending of the two forces.
The breath might get brighter,
Fuller,
More expansive.
And of course,
As the breath is the GPS,
The body will follow suit.
Time to play.
These circles begin to shrink inwards,
Creating dots.
Little flashes.
Dots floating like snow falling all around you and within.
Feel how they settle down by your feet.
Feel the weight and the movement of the dots.
Do they move around like shooting stars?
Focus only on these dots.
Follow their rhythm.
Focus only on the dots.
Follow them like messages in the sky.
And let those messages travel through your body.
Don't doubt what you're doing or make sense of it.
Move with the rhythm and go with the flow.
Dots everywhere,
Dots.
And they start to multiply and multiply and multiply.
More and more and more,
They fall faster and faster and faster.
And in one,
Two,
Three.
Everything pauses.
Everything becomes still.
Everything waits.
Take an inhale.
Hold it at the very top of the crown of the head.
Feel that one dot start to float upwards and upwards and upwards,
Expanding right at the very top of that vertical line.
On the exhale,
Let that dot fall all the way down the line.
Inhale up through the vertical lines.
Maybe they begin to multiply.
Exhale,
The dots fall down.
Inhale up.
These dots start to create the lines again,
Drawing them up and down,
All around you.
Up and down and up and down through the space and within you.
Energy.
Up,
Down,
Up,
Down,
Up,
Down,
Up,
Down,
Up,
Down,
Up,
Down,
Up.
Hold,
Up.
Everything pauses and floats.
The lines around you start to move in and out and all around,
Expanding the space,
Expanding the space.
Take an inhale.
Exhale,
Let everything fall.
Observe the space you find yourself in now.
How does it feel?
Begin to notice one dot floating around the space.
Begin to follow it.
Come back to the breath.
Follow your one dot.
What is the color of your dot?
Take an inhale.
Exhale,
Your dot paints a smooth stroke in the sky.
Notice where in the body it starts from and where it ends.
Inhale.
Exhale,
Smooth stroke through the sky.
Inhale.
Maybe through the fingertips.
Exhale,
Smooth stroke all the way to your heel.
Inhale from the crown of the head.
Exhale,
Right through the pubis.
Inhale through the belly button.
Exhale through the mouth.
Keep going.
Inhale,
Smooth strokes through the body and beyond.
Painting the space within you and around you until you create the most magnetic painting of colors and energies.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
The strokes become rougher.
And once again,
You find yourself back into the grid,
Standing up nice and tall,
Planting your feet onto the floor,
Up and down and side to side,
Corner to corner to corner to corner.
Let the body expand in all directions.
As far as it can possibly reach.
Hmm.
Stretching and stretching and stretching and stretching.
Exhale right back into that circle.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Until eventually,
It just all disappears into a white room.
In this room,
Your breath echoes.
There are no walls.
Your body disappears.
Floating light feathery aimlessly without a destination in this white space.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Light start to dim.
Everything becomes darker and darker.
Until it's pure darkness.
One single lit candle appears in front of you.
You focus in on the candle light.
Come closer to the candle.
And closer.
Closer till you can feel the light on your face.
Notice how the space around you just disappears.
Everything focuses in like a microscope.
Details come alive.
Let's just move within this candle lit space for a moment.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
Hmm.
A light begins to glow through the third eye space.
The center of intuition.
Inner wisdom.
The all knowing self.
Just like a flashlight on your forehead,
Wherever you move your head,
You can see that one specific space in the room.
Really take in what you're seeing.
Don't pass it by.
Details are important here.
Start to observe these tiny spaces in your room.
And you notice there's a curtain.
You open the curtain and sunlight floods into the space.
This warm,
Orangey,
Beautiful heat.
Feel the heat covering your body.
Your muscles relax.
The tension goes away.
A big exhale.
Fall to the floor.
Let the sun fill you up with its healing energy.
And you can see all around you where you've been this entire time.
Let the light shine through the walls in this space.
Let the sun ignite your fire.
Let it all go.
We shake it all out for ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Five.
Let it go,
Let it go,
Let it go.
Three,
Two,
One.
Massive inhale.
On the exhale,
Everything becomes white.
One big cloud takes over.
And it all disappears and comes alive simultaneously.
Can you feel that all around you?
How does it move you?
How does it speak through you?
And what is it saying?
Enjoy your final dance into the bright light.
Let the light shine through the walls in this space.
Gently,
We gradually come into a pause.
The breath smooths out.
Each breath fills the space.
The body reappears and everything centers in the most perfect way.
And we wait.
And we wait.
And the waiting we observe.
We observe without needing to know.
We observe without need of completion or a perfect ending.
This moment remembering that awareness transcends time and space.
