Fear is a vital emotion. Many have a one-sided relationship with fear which is often unpleasant. No emotion should ever be wasted, they all have their place. It’s about understanding the dance between the self and fear. This audio session allows a safe guided space to become aware of the fear that holds you back, helping release its chains. || *if you enjoyed the class please give a rating and I am grateful for all donations. Hello,

I'm Kuchira and welcome to your movement audio session,

Conquering Fear.

Before we begin the session,

Let's just talk logistics.

How is this going to work?

Throughout the session,

You will just hear my voice.

This is so that there's no other distractions.

You can tune into your body talk and not worry about having to follow a visual of any sort.

It comes from you.

My voice is merely a guide to help your monkey mind quiet so that your body talk can speak loud and clear.

You move like you.

So in the moments when your monkey mind likes to come in,

Distract you,

And make you think that you're not doing it quote unquote right,

Let this be a reminder to get you out of your head and into your body that there's only one you.

Only you know what you need and how you move in that moment.

Follow the sensations,

Follow your instincts,

And it will set you free.

The movement doesn't necessarily have to be a certain way or any way.

It just has to be present and truthful.

If you find the mind showing up more than you would like it to,

Then just always remember to come back to a pause,

Take a breath,

And start over.

Every breath allows us an opportunity to start over.

Use your breath as not only a GPS,

But also a place to come home to.

Find safety and security in the breath and then allow the body to follow.

Before you know it,

You'll be dancing free.

Movement is innate in all of us.

We were born to move.

So trust that everything you seek you have.

It's all within.

Let go,

Get out of your way,

Move free,

And enjoy the session.

Let's begin.

Today we're conquering our fears through movement,

Or at least we're inviting them in to dance,

To play with us.

Often,

We avoid fear.

We don't like to feel discomfort.

But pushing something away doesn't get rid of it or resolve the problem.

By inviting in the fear,

We can get to know it better and therefore overcoming it.

Allow me to give you an example.

If we're not familiar with someone,

We tend to make judgments about them that aren't necessarily true.

When you get to know them,

You realize that they weren't as scary as your imagination made them out to be.

Fears work the same way.

The more you befriend them,

The easier we can understand them.

And in fact,

They help guide us.

The more you know about your fears,

The easier they are to conquer.

Awareness helps us overcome our fears.

Today we become aware of the fears that are stored in our body memory,

And we invite them in for a little dance.

We begin with the most powerful tool we own of conquering and monitoring our fear,

Which is the almighty breath.

Go ahead and find yourself in your space in a comfortable position if you're not there already.

And close your eyes and enter the body,

As I always say.

I like to think of my body as a suit I put on.

And once I'm in my suit,

I zip it up and I am present in the moment.

I have entered my movement session.

Here we begin to observe our breath.

Inhale,

Exhale.

As with everything in movement,

We don't try to control because there is no controlling what will be.

We just observe and we flow with it.

We also recognize that change is ever-present,

And it's a beautiful thing.

So we want to invite that in as well.

If during the practice anything changes,

Go along for the ride.

See what it brings.

Be curious and stay playful.

Inhale,

Exhale.

At all times,

Feel free to open up the vocal cords,

The throat chakra,

Make sounds,

And let sounds go.

That's a big part of eliminating the toxic energy within.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Go ahead and observe your own natural rhythm of breath.

Okay.

What is the rhythm of your breath?

Is it rapid and short?

Is it long and smooth?

So we recognize that the breath can tell us a lot about our inner landscape.

As you observe the breath,

Recognize the sensations in the body.

How do you feel and what natural movements like to ride with the rhythm of the breath?

Begin to invite those subtle movements in.

Inhale and exhale.

At any time during this practice,

And also in your everyday life,

You can always invite in those long,

Smooth breaths when you want to find a little bit more inner peace.

Let's keep that in mind as we continue.

You'll also notice that when you release control,

Your body naturally moves,

Sways,

Rocks the way it wishes.

Your body will never give you more than it needs.

It'll always give you just the perfect amount of love.

That love will come through movement and sensations and emotions,

Energy in motion,

Emoting.

As long as all that is happening naturally,

Truthfully,

Honestly,

You can bet that you're in the pocket and clarity shall proceed.

Just trust in the process.

From this point on,

We continue to add on to the experience.

So we've talked about breath.

Now we search for the good feeling movements.

Continue moving and breathing as you're doing,

Allowing change to happen.

One moment to dance you into the next.

And notice the moments where a little fear or anxiety may arise.

That might come in a simple sensation,

In a catch of a breath,

In the monkey mind telling you you're not doing it quote unquote right.

When this happens,

Another tool we use is the pause.

Stop,

Breathe and begin again.

In beginning again,

Identify the movements that feel good,

That bring you into ease,

That comfort you.

Engage in those feel good movement moments.

Allow them to become a part of your movement vocabulary.

Let's take a moment here to move in the good feeling movements.

Let's take a moment here to move in the good feeling movements.

Now,

We add on yet another step to conquering our fears with movement.

The breath is present and guiding us.

We've indicated the movements that feel good.

And now we use our imagination in two ways.

Your imagination can be an indoor to your fears or the exit door to your fears.

Now we observe how to move through them both.

As you're moving in your space and breathing and allowing your body to cozy up to you and speak to you,

Place yourself in a situation or an environment that brings you peace.

Notice how your body reacts.

I'd suggest you choose whatever initially comes to you.

Maybe in front of an ocean,

In the forest,

Or just floating aimlessly in the sky without a worry.

As you take yourself deeper and deeper into this beautiful,

Peaceful place,

Be aware of the movements that arise,

The sensations that come with the movements,

The breaths that accompany the movements.

Let's stay here for a while so we can practice and tap into those three things.

Again,

Aware of the movements that arise in this peaceful place,

Of the sensations that come up,

And the breaths that accompany the movements.

Let's stay here for a while.

Without hesitation,

We move deeper into this space.

You're doing great.

Just keep trusting yourself.

Let's stay here for a while.

Let's stay here for a while.

Let's stay here for a while.

Now that we're pros,

We move into a space that challenges our fears a little bit more.

Now remember,

You have the tools.

You have the breath,

The pleasurable movements,

And the awareness of the body talk,

Of being in the body,

And trusting that the body will never give you more than you can handle.

Choose a space or situation that invites in your fear one baby step at a time.

What I mean by that is slowly and gradually bring yourself into that space.

For example,

If you have a fear of heights,

You can imagine yourself just watching the planes fly by,

Or maybe even sitting up on a cloud rather than actually being on the plane,

Which might bring up trauma too quick,

Too fast.

A big part of this practice of self-love and awareness and movement is being compassionate and patient with the self.

As you feel more and more comfortable in the body and in every moment that you're in,

Step deeper into the fear until you eventually meet face to face.

Inhaling in,

Exhaling out,

Finding the pleasurable movements.

And when the body stiffens,

Find the pause and let it go.

Inhaling in,

Smooth exhale out,

Moving in the pleasurable movements.

And when the body finds tension,

Pause and let it go.

You can do this.

You got this.

Continue on your own.

Rhythm,

Give it,

Movement,

Live it.

Rhythm,

Give it,

Movement,

Live it.

To the rhythm,

Come to live it.

We invite in a good shake,

Opening up the throat,

Letting it all go and sprinkle away from you off the skin and float away.

We exhale,

Come back into what is and try to step a little closer to the fear.

Being free,

Moving with energy and excitement and bringing in curiosity.

Make fear your friend by getting to know it.

Allow the body to feel whatever that is and emote it.

Energy in motion,

Let it move through you.

Open up the throat,

Let the sound come out of you,

Let the body shake and move vigorously and open up the energetic systems of the body.

Fear can be your friend.

Fear can ignite the fire within.

Use it to help you and not hurt you.

In closing here,

Let's just pick up the energy real quick,

Real fast,

Real loud for 10.

Come on.

Nine,

Keep going on your own.

Eight,

Seven,

Quicker,

Quicker,

Quicker,

Bigger,

Bigger,

Bigger,

Six and five.

Open up the throat,

Four,

Three,

Let the energy ooze out of you until your tank is empty and calm and free.

Two,

Big inhale,

Massive exhale,

Let it all go and one,

Observe the pause,

Observe the pause.

Feel how it tingles on your skin.

Feel how what you feared is right in front of you and you're okay.

You're still here.

You're still dancing.

Look fear in the face,

Deep into his eyes and invite him to dance.

Dance with fear.

Take his hand,

Pull him in close.

Notice the fear might not even exist.

And just like that cloud you once sat on,

It drifts by you and evaporates.

What's left is just the breeze.

Marinate in this moment.

Listen to the body conversation.

Find that smooth,

Long breath you know so well.

Dive into the quiet.

Be one with the stillness.

You here,

Present now.

You here.

Fear will always be a part of our lives.

And it can serve us well when we know how to embrace it.

Next time he peeks his head,

Remember to not avoid him,

But rather invite him in for a dance.

One love,

Warriors.

Until our next dance.

One love,

Warriors.
