Good morning,

I'm Kathy Campbell,

A faculty member in the School of Nursing,

And I welcome you to the Contemplative Sciences Center Virtual Meditation on the Lawn.

I'm so wonderful to have so many people participate and to be able to share this with people not only at home in Charlottesville,

But people all over the world.

So this morning,

I'm going to be guiding you through a meditation on love through a wonderful book that I use in my own practice.

The book is called Divine Audacity.

And my inspiration for my meditation this morning is from the love of my own grandmother.

My grandmother passed last month,

And her last words to me and many of her grandchildren was love you more.

So I'd like to start this morning with just a meditation on love.

So if it works for you to either lower your gaze or to just gently close your eyes and take in a few deep breaths,

Just a deep breath in and hold it and let it out.

Take another deep breath in and hold it and just release it.

And connect with the ground beneath your feet or the ground beneath your seat.

And sink into that place.

So I focus my attention on the energy center of love within my body in and around my heart.

To attune to this radiating essence,

I place my hands over my heart while envisioning a soft golden glow emanating from my heart.

And as my hands touch my heart,

My whole body is warmed by this glow.

Divine love is my name and true nature.

I gratefully acknowledge that the well of love can never run dry,

For the source of love is eternal.

Under the influence of this magnetizing power of golden love,

I awaken to more love than I have ever known.

I call forth that magnetizing power of divine love in every breath I take today,

Recalling that power of divine love as I move through my day,

Gracefully held,

Grace-filled.

I center myself in the realization that the dreams I have planted and am devoted to must bear fruit through this magnifying power of love.

I call forth within me the harmonizing power of love.

Love harmonizes my thoughts,

My words,

My actions,

So I see things rightly and bring about good.

I see myself and others in all conditions through the lens of harmonizing love.

I call forth within me the unifying power of love.

I am divine love.

I see myself in others,

Others in myself,

And the divinity in us all.

I send out from within me this golden light of love,

Touching all people and all beings.

I am the power of love,

Loving.

Let's take a few minutes to let those words settle within you,

And again,

Return to that golden center within you.

And I know that you will take this power of love into your day today and in your travels as you travel for the upcoming holidays.

So thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day today and joining us for the virtual meditation on the lawn.

Namaste.
