Begin this meditation in a comfortable position.
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and release it out slowly.
Feel yourself rooting into the earth and drawing in energy from the core of the earth.
The energy flows up through the mantle of the earth and into your feet,
Traveling up your body until it reaches your crown chakra.
Take your time visualizing this.
Take another deep breath and exhale slowly.
Next,
Visualize yourself taking a walk in nature.
This can be a beach,
A forest,
The desert,
Whatever appeals to you.
As you walk,
Your steps are mindful.
Practice awareness by observing your surroundings.
What do you see?
What appeals to you most?
What are you walking toward?
There are no wrong answers.
Inhale with one step,
Exhale with the next.
Keep repeating this for a while.
As you reach your destination,
You realize that you're carrying a picnic basket filled with your favorite foods.
Choose a spot of your liking and sit down to enjoy your meal in nature.
As you do so,
You notice that you aren't wearing a watch.
This isn't the world's time any longer.
It's your time,
My dear friend.
So take your time.
Being in nature is a wonderful way to reduce stress,
Clear your mind,
To simply listen and observe.
What are you hearing right now?
What are you sensing right now?
Partner with every sensation and accept the gifts of calmness and peace being offered to you.
Take another deep breath.
At your own pace,
Begin to open your eyes.
You feel a sense of refreshment.
Keeping your awareness on your breath,
You begin to emerge from this meditation,
Feeling stronger in yourself,
Recharged,
Empowered.
Your exploration has brought new energy to your life as you continue to take mindful steps upon the earth.
