Begin this meditation in a comfortable position.
This can be sitting or lying down.
Close your eyes and spend some time focusing on your breath.
Concentrate on each inhale and each exhale.
Allow your muscles to relax,
Releasing any tension.
With your eyes closed,
See yourself in your favorite place,
My dear friend,
And absorb your surroundings.
Your mind is free from any and all worries as you enjoy your day off.
This can be a day off from work,
School,
Any obligations,
However you need to enjoy peace.
You feel fully supported by the earth.
Your phone is turned off.
You've already checked your email.
You've finished running errands and paying bills.
Everything is in order because you've given it so much of your attention.
So now it's time to pay just as much attention to yourself.
Give some of yourself back to yourself.
You have nothing to do right now,
But be at peace as you daydream.
You have most certainly earned this time.
As the earth continues to lovingly support you,
Embrace the stillness and quietness.
Embrace yourself while realizing your greatness.
Having this time to yourself,
I invite you to regard yourself in positive ways.
Perhaps you will whisper some positive affirmations to yourself.
Maybe you will choose to sit silently and call them to mind.
AU At your own pace,
Begin to open your eyes.
Invite subtle movements into your fingers and toes as you awaken from this rest.
Return feeling well rested and relaxed.
