Breathing is a wonderful way to take a break and bring us back to the present moment.
This belly breathing break can be done anytime during the day.
It can be especially helpful to do this breathing practice in between school work at home.
Let's try it together.
Close your eyes or look down to the floor.
Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
As you breathe in,
Let the belly expand like you're filling up a balloon with air for your child's birthday party.
As you breathe out,
Release all the air out of the balloon.
Inhale,
Belly gets bigger.
Exhale,
Belly gets smaller.
One more time.
You're doing great.
Inhale,
Blow air into the balloon.
And exhale,
Release the air.
