Hi,
This is Michelle.
I'm a certified meditation teacher and an art therapist.
Today we're going to explore a treehouse sleep meditation.
As you're ready,
Settle into your bed,
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Slowly let each of them start to relax.
Notice how your breath feels as it comes in through your nose.
Feeling up your lungs,
Feeling up your tummy.
Blow that out like you're blowing out a candle.
Settle in deeper into your bed,
Relaxing each of your muscles as you continue to breathe.
Now imagine that you're walking down a path in the woods.
You're safe.
You're just looking around enjoying the smells and the colors of the trees.
Maybe you notice the sound of some birds singing.
You know where you're going.
There's a clear path ahead.
Continue to walk through noticing your favorite trees and some wildflowers growing,
Stopping and smelling them.
Up ahead you see your destination.
There is a cozy treehouse.
Just in time,
The sun's starting to set.
Time to get ready for bed.
You walk up to the treehouse.
Slowly you climb up the ladder.
You climb up the ladder slowly step by step.
You count each ring.
Ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
You've reached the door of the treehouse.
You take the handle and slowly open it.
As you walk in,
You see the coziest warm treehouse that you could ever imagine.
Out the window you can see the golden sun starting to set over the tree tops.
You climb into bed.
You cuddle in.
You start to slowly deepen your breath and relax,
Settling deeper and deeper into the soft cozy comfy bed.
You feel your muscles relax each time you breathe in and out.
Your eyelids getting heavier,
Gently relaxing,
Letting go of the day,
Letting the warm sunlight from the sunset wash over you and relax you as it fades away down onto the tree tops.
The sparkling stars and moon start to come out,
Shining as your nightlight as you continue to breathe and settle in deeper and deeper into your soft bed.
Notice your breath as it comes in through your nose,
How it feels warmer as it exits out your mouth.
Continue to relax deeper and deeper into your soft cuddly bed in your warm cozy safe treehouse.
Sweet dreams.
