Welcome,
My friend.
This meditation will help you process and release any emotional distress,
Bringing you to a place of inner peace and tranquility.
Go ahead and find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down,
Where you can relax without any interruptions.
Take a moment to settle in,
Close your eyes and bring your attention inward.
Feel the support of the surface beneath you,
Grounding you and connecting you to the present moment.
Let's begin by taking three deep cleansing breaths,
Inhaling deeply through the nose and exhaling slowly through the mouth.
With each breath,
Allow your body to relax a little more,
Letting go of any tension or tightness.
Now bring to mind a situation,
Feeling or thought that has been causing you distress.
Allow yourself to acknowledge this situation without judgment.
Notice where you feel this discomfort in your body.
It could be in your chest,
Stomach,
Shoulders,
Jaw.
Slowly observe this sensation,
Knowing that you are safe.
Now imagine a beam of light forming above your head.
This light can be any color that feels soothing and healing to you.
This light is filled with calm,
Healing energy.
As you focus on the light,
See it beginning to move down slowly through your body,
Starting at the crown of your head.
As the light moves,
It gently touches and soothes every part of you.
Feel the warmth and healing energy spreading,
Relaxing your scalp,
Your forehead,
Your eyes.
Allow it to flow down your face,
Releasing any tension in your jaw and moving into your neck and shoulders,
Melting away any tightness.
As the light continues to flow down through your body,
Imagine it collecting any discomfort,
Tension or negative energy.
Be the light absorbing the distress you found earlier in your body,
Drawing it out like a magnet.
As the light reaches your chest,
Feel it soothing your heart,
Easing any emotional pain.
Let it travel through your arms and down to your hands and fingers,
Releasing any stress or anxiety you may be holding on to.
The light moves further down into your belly and lower back,
Calming and relaxing every organ and muscle.
The light continues down through your hips,
Your pelvis,
Your thighs,
Shines on your knees and legs,
Collecting any remaining tension as it goes.
Slowly feel the light streaming down to your feet,
Where it gathers all the discomfort and pain you've been carrying,
All of it gathered right at your feet.
Now imagine the light,
Full of the collected distress,
Flowing down through your feet and into the earth.
The earth absorbs this energy,
Neutralizing it and transforming it into something new and positive.
Feel the light leaving your body,
Taking with it any negative emotions,
Thoughts or sensations.
As the light exits,
Notice the feeling of lightness and relief.
Now envision the light once again shining brightly from above,
With pure positive energy.
Maybe it's even a different color light now.
Feel it filling the space where the distress once was,
Bringing warmth,
Healing and comfort.
Let this light expand within you,
Filling every cell with a sense of peace and renewal.
Take a few moments to enjoy this state of calm and relaxation as you are filled with this beautiful healing light.
Feel it in every organ,
Every bone,
Every cell of your body.
See yourself radiating this light and feel yourself healing.
Start to bring your awareness back to the room.
Feel the surface beneath you and the air around you.
Slowly wiggle your fingers and toes,
Bringing movement back into your body.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Carrying this sense of peace and healing with you into the rest of your day.
