Hello and welcome to this cleansing meditation for empaths.
Empaths are very sensitive to other people's emotions and tend to pick up the energies of others,
Particularly the ones that others don't want,
Like pain,
Sadness,
Fear,
Jealousy,
Anger and anxiety.
This practice will allow you to clear stuck negative emotions from your body and return them back to whomever they belong with kindness and integrity.
Make sure you are comfortable.
Settle into your space and gently close your eyes.
Notice that you have a physical body.
Notice the weight of your body on the surface you are on.
Notice the temperature of the air touching your skin.
Notice the feelings of clothes against your body.
Notice all points of contact between your body and the surface you are on.
Start taking deeper breaths,
Inhaling all the way from the bottom of your feet and into your belly,
Chest and head.
Take a few deep breaths that way,
Focusing on the way the air feels going in and out of your body.
Start focusing on the sensations in your body.
In what places does your body feel tense,
Heavy,
Aching,
Sore or numb?
Notice the feelings in your body and see that they are places where emotions have been stored.
Once you are aware of these sore and heavy areas in your body,
Begin to visualize the emotions being stored in those places coming out of your body in streams or ribbons of color.
For example,
You might see the tension in your neck as a stream of orange and the tightness in your chest as a stream of black.
Feel free to use dark or murky colors for heavy emotions.
As the stream of color floats above your body,
Repeat to yourself,
I send this energy back to whomever it belongs with love and kindness.
Then visualize the stream of color flying off into the distance and dissolving.
Keep scanning your body for any other painful or heavy sensations you can release.
Continue to visualize them as a stream or ribbon of color and release them one by one while saying,
I send this energy back to whomever it belongs with love and kindness.
Once your body feels energetically empty,
It is now time to send your body some loving and healing energy.
Simply focus on every body part that just released stored emotions and say I love you to that part.
As you say I love you,
Visualize that body part filling with soft,
Warm,
Golden light.
Take the time to do that now.
Now spend a few moments in stillness,
Breathing deeply and integrating this feeling of being cleansed and loved.
Start to bring awareness back to your body,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
And stretching in any way that feels right.
Take one last deep breath,
Noticing the lightness in your body.
Gently open your eyes and enjoy this renewed sense of self.
