So,
Thank you so much once again for coming.
My name is Corrie.
Let's meditate together.
If you can get comfortable in a seated meditation position,
That way we won't lose you if it's first thing in the morning and you won't drift back off to sleep.
But if you really want to,
You can lay down.
This is your meditation practice,
So please get comfortable,
Whatever that means for you.
If you're sat,
Make sure that you lengthen your spine,
You straighten your spine.
And then soften your shoulders,
Pull them away from your ears.
And start to focus on your breath.
So,
Taking longer,
Slower,
Deeper breaths.
For those of you that have meditated with me before,
You know that we always start with the breath.
Becoming familiar,
Sitting down on a cozy couch with it,
Just connecting to your breath is a really beautiful way to start your meditation practice.
Breathe,
Just your simple breath.
And as you take your inhales,
Feel them.
So,
Start to use more of your senses.
Feel your breath as it travels down through your body.
How far does it go down?
Without you trying too much,
If you just relax and be authentic with your breath,
What does your breath feel like?
Where does it travel to in your body?
It may be quite shallow,
Or it may already be very deep.
What's it feel like when you exhale?
Let out your breath and feel it.
Focus on the quiet,
Stillness.
It doesn't matter if there's physical quiet,
Of course there isn't because I'm talking.
Maybe there's sounds happening around you in your home.
The quiet that I'm talking about is that inner quiet.
Sit with that for a few breaths.
It's like a cozy,
Safe place inside of you that you're connecting to.
It's peaceful and still.
You can get in there.
It's your special sanctuary,
Your special place.
Have you ever thought about your breath like that?
Allowing it to be this sacred,
Special thing that's yours.
And it goes into the places inside of yourself that no one else gets to go.
Feel your breath as you breathe down past your throat.
Take your breath in through your nose,
Feel it go down past your throat and down into your lungs.
And as you breathe out,
Excuse me,
Notice that there's just this slightest constriction in your throat as you breathe out.
As you breathe in,
There's an opening.
And as you breathe out,
Just the slightest,
Minutest feeling of constriction.
Feel that for a few breaths.
Connecting to that energy,
Body,
The other aspects of you that are non-material,
Knowing that your throat chakra lies right here in your throat space.
You can start to imagine the color blue.
What blue comes to mind for you when you think of a blue for your throat?
Don't try and shift it or be book correct.
Don't try and change it.
Just allow whatever shade of blue to come to mind.
Start to feel as if you're laying it onto your throat,
Roll around inside of your throat.
This lovely blue color that you can see in your mind.
What if the blue color comes with something that's feelable?
What if you can feel a slight coolness or warmth with the color?
What would it be for you?
Just breathe and focus on your throat,
Nothing else in your body,
Just your throat.
Feel your your psyche.
You tap into that higher aspect of yourself where you can start to feel that which is not normally felt.
So that you can expand and be more connected to all that is you.
Feel that coolness or that warmth along with your blue color right there.
And just keep breathing your long,
Slow,
Deep breaths,
Enjoying the stillness and the quiet.
Know that this place in your body,
This area of your being,
Holds the energy of your throat chakra and your throat chakra is connected to truth.
Your throat chakra is connected to communication,
Authenticity,
Openness,
Expression,
But mostly,
Most importantly,
Speaking your truth.
Think about that as you feel every aspect,
The material,
The non-material of your throat.
This is your place of truth.
This is the place where you express yourself.
Think about how you express yourself.
Think about if there's anything that you would like to tweak in how you express yourself.
You,
Personally.
If you could wave a magic wand,
Abracadabra,
What would you shift in the way that you communicate?
Sit with that awareness and that knowing.
There isn't anything wrong with this.
There isn't anything wrong with what you're identifying about your communication.
It's just something that you would like to shift and tweak and change,
Adapt,
Maybe,
Work on.
It doesn't mean that you're a problem.
It doesn't mean that there's anything at fault.
It just means you have self-awareness of this part of your being.
So,
Just settle in,
Be loving and kind.
Keep breathing your long,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
This little nugget of information that you are thinking about,
Connected to your communication,
Is connected to a long line of things that have happened in your life.
And we don't have to go into them.
You don't have to know them.
You don't have to know the root of it.
Just know that it's connected to the past.
And from the past,
You've formed beliefs or behaviors or habits in a way that,
Hopefully,
Allows you to survive.
It's all about survival.
And you are a very capable,
Smart human being that has adapted your communication for survival,
For protection.
And that's pretty freaking awesome,
Really.
Think about it.
There's room for other forms of communication.
So,
Let's think about,
For a second,
That blue color with the warmth or the coolness connected to it.
Feel it.
Focus on it once again for me.
See it wrapped around your throat.
See it flowing through inside of your throat area.
To make this space expand communication,
Something that's not true and you know it's not true about yourself,
Yet you still say it because of habit,
Because of survival.
What's one thing that you can think of?
See if you can let your mind open and allow it to come to you.
This one lie.
And imagine that the lie is in a little box in your hands.
And here,
In this blue space,
Nothing but blue connected to your throat.
Imagine that you can throw the box as far as your eyes can see,
Like throwing it through the endless sky.
Just the one.
It's not overwhelming.
It's not too much to ask,
Even for us that like to procrastinate or avoid.
This is just one little lie to yourself in this space.
No more.
Get closer to authentic.
A little bit closer to speaking and communicating the way you would like to.
And when you've thrown the box and you've let that lie go and you've committed to yourself that you're no longer going to allow that lie to lay any kind of energy or impact on yourself or others.
It doesn't exist anymore.
And in the future,
If it tries to pop into your mind because of ritual and routine and habit,
It's blocked.
What would you like to block it with?
Visualizing your mind,
Would you like it to be blocked with a hand that says stop?
Or a wall?
Or maybe a pretty little elf fairy that says,
Let your imagination let you think of when you see yourself blocking this thought.
And keep that visual with you because you're going to use it because the mind will bring to you that which you know.
So it definitely will try and do this.
It definitely will try and communicate this lie in the future.
But you're ready with your block.
Take a nice big,
Deep breath with me.
Feel that lovely blue all over your throat.
Let your throat open if you can.
Feel a sense of expansion,
Especially when you breathe in.
And know that you can come back whenever you choose to.
I'm going to count to three and when I get to three,
You can open your eyes and come back into your life.
One,
Two,
Three.
Opening your eyes,
Coming back into this space.
Just feeling your body,
Taking some peaceful breaths still.
Feel your throat.
Notice if you feel a little bit more light,
A little bit more space coming into your being,
A little bit more love coming into your body.
Keep in mind that block,
The visual of it,
The feeling of it,
And then the last thing to do is put in the work and practice.
