If you could please settle into a comfortable position,
Something that feels nice for your body.
Whether that's sea turtle.
.
.
Or laying down.
Resting on a chair.
I don't believe necessarily that you have to be in a strict meditation.
Seated crisscross applesauce position.
Even though that could be a goal.
Use a chair if you need back support.
Use the couch if you need to be comfortable or use the bed if you'd prefer to lay down.
This is your meditation practice,
So be sweet and kind.
To yourself.
It's what's happening on the inside I think that's more important.
So when you settle into the position that feels good for your body,
The next thing I'd like you to do is go to your anchor.
And that is always your breath.
Observe at first.
Just notice.
The pattern of your breath,
The pace of your breath.
Start to feel it,
Get familiar with it.
And then intentionally slow your breath down just a tad more.
So bring in longer,
Slower,
Deeper breaths,
More intentional.
Take them all the way down to your tummy.
Take your time.
With your breath.
I think a lot of the time when we meditate,
We rush into.
Just.
.
.
See if you can use some patience slow that usual rush that's inside of us and Try and be in the moment.
Maybe you've not focused on it for a while and,
Like an old friend,
You're reacquainting,
Becoming familiar again with the feelings and the sensations.
Just breathe.
Try and relax your shoulders.
Let go of any tension in your face.
I'd like you to imagine yourself as an onion.
Doesn't sound so glamorous,
Does it?
But bear with me.
Could be a very super cute onion.
But imagine yourself as an onion.
Layer upon layer upon layer until you reach the center.
So many lies.
So this is your job,
This meditation,
Just to sit and imagine that you're an onion.
With all of these lives surrounding you,
As part of you.
Take some deep breaths.
See if you can just relax into type of recognition that you do have layers.
Even though the onion is metaphorical.
The representation is good.
You do have layers.
And that's okay.
That's very human.
But just recognize that you are a person with layers.
You're complexed.
Think about that word for a second.
Keep your spine nice and straight for me.
You on the word.
Complexed.
Is a lot.
To you.
Lots of layers.
And your complexity is what makes you.
Individual.
It makes you,
You.
So embrace the fact that you're complexed,
Please.
What does it feel like to just accept the fact that you're complexed?
You know,
Ordinary.
You're not ordinary.
You're complexed.
And this was a good thing.
You have every right to be complexed.
Interesting.
Fascinating.
Like a puzzle to be solved.
How does that feel if you just sit with it and accept that this is you?
And now I'd like you to imagine you out in the world.
With all of your lives.
Just bumping into different people not doing anything specific just seeing yourself interacting with people people at work,
Maybe people in your home.
Just you and your lies doing your thing Let your mind show you a few visuals of that.
Nothing special just life.
Consciously or unconsciously.
You have an intuition.
That tells you who can see certain layers of who you are.
This is your right.
This is your privilege.
It's almost like a boundary.
An unspoken boundary.
Some people get to see certain aspects of who you are.
And others don't.
Some people get to be with you when you show and expose your deep alask.
And some people don't.
This is your right.
The complexity and the beautifulness of every single layer of yours.
Is yours to decide.
Who?
Has access.
To want.
What does that feel like?
Just sit with that with me for a moment.
That you are in complete control of.
Who gets to?
Have.
Certain aspects of you.
Just take ownership of that for me,
Please.
Recognize that you're in complete control of the depth of what you give.
The choice of what you show.
This is your power.
You're right.
Take nice,
Big,
Deep breaths.
And allow yourself to just feel that power.
Recognize,
Yes,
I do.
Own.
Bad choice.
Now see if you can get a visual in your mind of everybody in the world just like an onion.
With all of their lives.
And within each of those layers,
There could be beliefs.
Traumas.
Events,
Experiences.
It's all within our last.
And everyone is just like you see in your mind a world full of onions for me for a few seconds just see it of the recognition that everybody has less.
Just like Fingerprints.
Every single one is individual.
Y'all ass are completely your own.
There isn't one single being out there in the world.
Out there in the universe.
That is made up just like you.
Not one.
Single being.
Just feel that for a second your individuality.
Your complexity.
And therefore.
From this moment forward.
You will have complete recognition.
That anyone that you choose to show certain aspects,
Certain deeper layers of who you are.
It's a privilege.
It's an actual privilege.
For them.
Think of yourself as this special,
Unique beautiful perfect Something precious.
Something completely individual.
And it doesn't matter if some of the layers are light and sparkly and shiny and some of the layers are dark It doesn't matter if some of the layers are angry and dangerous.
But.
.
.
Your individuality is yours alone to own.
It's yours to take care of,
To have boundaries.
To cherish.
To keep safe.
Recognize that when you do let someone in to see your last,
That it's a bloody privilege.
Recognize your worth.
Recognize.
Your own sparkle.
Just for a few breaths with me.
See if you can own.
Who you are.
Embrace it.
Own it.
Love it and cherish it.
This onion that you are.
And remember the people that get to see.
The most of you.
Are very lucky people.
The people that you show your full moon to are very lucky people.
I'm going to count to three and when I get to three you can open your eyes and come back into the world.
2.
3 Opening your eyes.
Coming back to this space.
With the recognition of how bloody awesome you are.
Namaste my friends.
