This Awesome, Fun Bedtime Story For Kids is about Mr. Kitty and how Tucker & Leo, Heidi Cherry & Vaya are all getting along. In part 4, they all play a game of truth or dare! Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

Make sure that you get all snuggly and warm in your bed.

Make sure that the light is just right in your room so that you can relax your body and let go of your busy,

Busy day.

Tucker and Leo were playing a game of Truth or Dare with Heidi,

Cherry and Veya.

Heidi,

Cherry and Veya had been over at Tucker and Leo's house a lot.

Tucker didn't quite understand why.

I mean,

I really like it when you come over and everything,

Said Tucker.

I actually love it when you guys come over because,

You know,

You're my favourite cats in the entire world.

But,

You know,

You have been over quite a lot lately and I just don't get it.

I mean,

We've been friends for a very long time and never in a million years,

Never in all that time have you been over.

Every single day almost.

What's going on?

Is it just that you love me and Leo so much?

Leo interrupted,

It's not about them loving us.

Silly,

It's about them loving Mr Kitty.

What?

Said Tucker.

How on earth have I not been aware of this situation before?

How come nobody said anything to me?

You were all very secretive.

And anyway,

Mr Kitty's not even got used to me completely yet,

Even though I can go downstairs now,

And even though he lets me sniff him,

But then all of a sudden he bashes me on the nose.

But he doesn't stick his nails out,

So Mr Kitty's mummy says that he must like me a little bit.

And I think to myself,

He likes me.

What's he like if he doesn't like you?

He'd probably poke my eyeballs out,

Or maybe rip my ears off.

I don't know,

He just has a very mean look about him sometimes.

But I'm very happy that he lets me sniff him,

And he lets me get really,

Really close sometimes,

But then I get too excited and I start to shake,

And I start to talk,

And I'm like,

Ooooh,

And I bark,

And then when I bark he gets upset,

And then he hisses.

He hisses at me,

And it sounds so scary.

He goes,

Hhhhhh.

Cherry blushed,

Thinking about Mr Kitty,

Making that manly sound.

Heidi said,

Are you blushing?

Cherry said,

No.

No!

Who said that?

Who did that?

She was,

She was very pink in the cheeks.

Vea started giggling.

Oh Cherry,

You're just smitten,

Aren't you?

Cherry said,

I'm smitten!

Don't you act like you're not smitten!

You're like totally smitten!

Like I'm like,

I'm like a bit smitten,

But you're like,

Oh,

OMG!

Vea,

So smitten.

I mean like you practically,

Practically were sat there for like 20 minutes in front of the mirror today before we came over.

You got so much lipstick on that like,

Gosh,

If anybody,

If anybody kisses you,

They'll be stuck,

They'll be stuck to you like glue forever in a million years.

Vea now went pink.

I do not have that much lipstick on.

Cherry said,

OMG Vea,

You do!

You do!

And your eyebrows,

You put eyebrows on!

Vea said,

I did not!

Heidi said,

Vea,

You do look like you put eyebrows on.

Vea blushed again.

And then Cherry picked on Heidi.

Don't know what you're acting so cool about.

My gosh,

I've never seen anyone,

Anyone read as many romance novels in my entire life.

You've gone through like eight books in this last week.

They're dreaming away about what it would be like for you and Mr.

Kitty to be walking in the rain.

What it would be like for you and Mr.

Kitty to be sat on a swing together.

What it would be like for you and Mr.

Kitty to go on a cruise.

OMG!

Heidi laughed because she couldn't deny it.

She had read a lot of romance novels since she met Mr.

Kitty.

They took her to another world where she was dreaming about walking down the street,

Paw in paw with Mr.

Kitty.

Mr.

Kitty was sat across from them while all of this was going on.

And he just pretended he didn't hear any of it.

He was pretending he was in a deep conversation with Leo.

Mr.

Kitty was okay with Leo because Leo couldn't care less about Mr.

Kitty.

He didn't sniff him,

He didn't try and eat him,

He didn't really care whether he was downstairs or not.

But they weren't downstairs right now,

They were upstairs in the bedroom and they were playing Truth or Dare.

They were spinning a bottle.

They span the bottle and it landed on Vaya.

Cherry said,

Truth or Dare?

Truth or Dare?

Vaya said,

Mmmmm.

Dare.

OMG!

Vaya's so brave.

Okay,

Alright,

I'll do it,

I'll do it,

I'll do it right now.

I dare you.

I dare you.

I dare you to brush Mr.

Kitty's hair right there between his ears.

She pointed to the top of her head.

Vaya went bright pink.

Heidi said,

Cherry.

Cherry said,

Well,

She said,

Dare.

And I'm daring her to brush Mr.

Kitty's hair.

That soft part of his hair right there in the middle of his ears.

That part where he scrunches his eyeballs up and he looks all handsome and gentleman-like.

That part.

Mr.

Kitty said,

Well,

I don't know whether I'm comfortable with that.

Vaya said,

See,

See.

Mr.

Kitty said,

You can touch my paw.

Vaya went purple.

She was so embarrassed.

She reached out all gentle and tentatively and she touched his left paw,

The one that was closest to her.

Mr.

Kitty just acted all cool and nonchalant.

Tooker said,

It's my turn.

He spanned the bottle.

The bottle landed on himself.

Ooh,

He said.

Truth or dare?

Truth or dare?

I say truth.

Leo said,

Did you steal my dinosaur?

The red one.

Did you steal it?

Ooh,

Ooh.

Tooker started to look extremely guilty.

Like he was on the stand.

All the jury had just announced that he was completely guilty.

He stood there just like that.

Ooh,

Ooh.

Well,

I just borrowed it a little bit.

I'm afraid I put it in the garden in a hole and I don't remember which one it's in.

Unfortunately,

I was digging so many holes that day.

I was so excited about your dinosaur because I love how it squeaks and it smells just like you.

It's really nice.

Anyway,

Yeah,

And I think I put it in one of those holes,

But it could be any one of those seven holes,

Unfortunately.

But I'm not busy tomorrow,

So I'll go through each and every one of them and I'll find your dinosaur.

Heidi said,

My turn.

She spanned the bottle and it landed on Leo.

Truth or dare,

Leo?

Leo said,

Oh,

I'm not going to do a dare because who knows what that's going to involve.

And if it's anything to do with eating anything horrible like Mr.

Kitty or like wearing some somebody's socks.

Oh,

Gosh,

No,

I will definitely have an allergic reaction to somebody else's socks.

Well,

I think I think it's going to have to be a truth.

Heidi said,

Have you ever had shingles?

Leo put his paw on his forehead and scratched it as if he was deep in thought.

Leo had had lots of things going on with his health,

But had he had shingles?

Shingles was kind of like a virus that you get that's very itchy and painful and it can like go all the way across your back.

And it's just not very nice,

Apparently.

What on earth is shingles?

Said Cherry.

I've never heard of it.

Sounds like sparkles or something like a rainbow or a unicorn.

Is it like a unicorn disease?

Leo wasn't perturbed by anything that Cherry was saying.

She was just like white noise in the background to him.

He was still thinking deeply of all the different things he's had.

Had he had shingles?

Shingles can come when you're very stressed or upset or your immune systems run down.

Probably had had shingles.

Maybe I had it when I was younger,

He said.

But I'd honestly,

I'd have to ask mum and dad.

Heidi said,

I was just thinking about it.

I was interested because I was reading like this medical journal.

Not last week,

The week before.

Cherry said,

Yeah,

It weren't definitely last week because last week you were on like your 18th million romance novels.

Mr.

Kitty said,

My turn.

And he spun the bottle.

The bottle landed facing Cherry.

It's time for him to get his own back.

Truth or dare,

Said Mr.

Kitty.

Cherry didn't even think about it.

Dare!

I take a dare.

I take a dare every single day because I'm a daredevil.

I'm so brave.

I'm so outgoing.

I'm so adventurous.

I'm so awesome.

I mean,

If you don't know that by now,

Mr.

Kitty.

I don't know what's wrong with you.

Because I mean,

How can you not see my characteristics and all my charisma.

And you know,

All of my special values and like all of my,

What would you say?

My jewels.

All the precious jewels that I have.

That are me.

Cherry.

Cherry.

One and only Cherry.

Cherry.

Do you get me,

Mr.

Kitty?

Do you get me?

There's only one of me,

You know.

She looked very deeply into Mr.

Kitty's eyes.

And she kept her stare locked on his eyes.

She didn't blink.

She didn't flinch.

She didn't even go red in the face like she was embarrassed.

For some reason,

She got all brave and just stared deeply into his eyes.

Mr.

Kitty pulled at his collar,

Looking a little bit uncomfortable.

As if he needed some fresh air.

He thought about what he would dare her to do.

I dare you to sing a song.

Heidi and Veya both at the same time rolled back and said,

Oh no,

No.

Cherry said,

Oh,

You do know me well.

OMG,

You do know me well,

Don't you?

Right,

Let me think about this.

Because I am taking on that dare.

Absolutely no problem at all,

Mr.

Kitty.

Let's think.

Let me think of the appropriate song.

Tucker said,

How about that one,

What's what's about friends?

You've sung it to me before.

And it was so nice.

What is it now?

Something about bending?

No,

Not no,

Not no,

Not bending.

Not bending.

Leo knew exactly what Tucker was talking about.

He was talking about lean on me.

So Leo said,

Leaning,

Not bending,

Leaning.

That's it.

That's it.

That's it.

That's it.

Leaning on me,

Said Tucker.

Cherry burst out with,

OMG,

Yeah,

That's the one.

Thanks,

Tucker.

That's exactly what I was thinking about.

Well,

I weren't really,

But that one,

That one's perfect.

I'm so good.

My vocal tuning,

My vocal chords,

My,

My,

My,

I don't know what you would call it.

My riffs,

My riffs,

My riffing.

Oh,

Listen to my riffing on this one,

Mr.

Kitty.

She stared at Mr.

Kitty and stood up.

She grabbed hold of a hairbrush as if it was a microphone.

And she looked deep into his eyes.

She was trying to mesmerize him so that he would fall deeply in love with her.

Like a magical witchy spell.

Lean on me,

She started.

Weighing strong.

At this point,

Mr.

Kitty's eyebrows started to furrow together as if he was in some kind of pain.

But he didn't say anything.

Cherry carried on.

I'll be your friend.

I'll help you carry on.

Lean on me.

And as she said lean on me,

She leaned right into his face and looked deep into his soul.

Well,

That's what she thought she was doing.

But really,

Mr.

Kitty thought she was trying to see what he'd had for dinner.

Staring down into his eyes,

All the way down into his tummy or something.

He was squirming,

It was so painful.

Just for her to be singing so intensely like that to him.

He reached out his paw and grabbed a hold of Veya's paw.

Unconsciously,

Needing support and love and protection.

Veya knew exactly what he was experiencing.

She squeezed his little paw tight as if to say,

Don't worry,

I've got you.

It's okay.

It will all be over soon.

Heidi was laughing but trying to hide her laughter.

So she was laughing through her paws but she couldn't help herself because she was doing that thing where you know when you're not supposed to laugh?

And it makes it even ten times harder not to laugh.

And then it makes whatever you were laughing at ten million times funnier because you're not supposed to be laughing.

And you're trying so hard and you've got tears rolling down your face and snot flying out of your nose and you're so,

So,

So not laughing.

But you are laughing.

Heidi was at the point where she was going to choke on her laughing.

It was that funny.

Just looking at Mr.

Kitty's face.

She was actually quite comforted by the fact that he really didn't look like he was in love with Cherry at this point because I think he saw his life flash before his eyes as if to say,

If I stayed with Cherry,

This would be my life.

Oh.

She carried on.

Lean on me.

Leo felt Mr.

Kitty's pain.

And he spanned the bottle really quick.

My turn,

He said.

And the bottle landed on Heidi.

Cherry had to shut up.

Leo said,

Truth or dare?

Heidi said.

Truth.

Cherry said,

Oh,

Everyone's so boring.

Tucker went,

Oh,

I know,

I know.

Leo said,

How bad is your eyesight without your glasses?

Heidi pushed her glasses up onto her forehead and looked at Leo all boz-eyed.

On a purpose,

She was joking,

But Leo didn't know.

Her eyes went into the middle as if she was staring down at her nose and she was very boz-eyed.

And Leo said,

Oh,

Wow.

Really bad.

Heidi started laughing again.

No,

Leo,

No,

No,

I'm kidding.

I can see a little bit,

But not too much.

It's worse when I'm reading.

I really need them when I'm reading.

So basically,

I need them all the time because I'm reading all the time.

But I'm not boz-eyed,

Leo.

Leo said,

Oh,

I thought there was something really wrong with you.

Everyone started laughing.

Tucker,

In the meantime,

Was trying to get closer to Mr.

Kitty because he smelt like a cat snack.

He smelt like apple pie.

He smelt like everything good and yummy and tasty in the world.

Oh,

He said as he got closer,

Trying to push between Vea and Mr.

Kitty.

And then he got too excited and started barking.

And Mr.

Kitty said,

That's enough for me today.

Bye,

Everyone.

And he just got up and left.

End of story.

End of the game.

End of everything.

Cherry said,

Oh,

Gosh,

I can't stand it.

I think I love him so much.

Vea said,

Yeah,

He's so nice.

Heidi said,

Something very intriguing about him.

And they all watched him disappear out of the room.

They all sighed.

That was the end of today's visit.

They'd have to come back again.

They played a bit longer with Tucker and Leo,

But they weren't really that bothered.

They told Tucker and Leo that they'd come and see him again soon.

As Cherry was walking down the driveway towards their car,

She said,

Probably tomorrow.

Leo and Tucker waved goodbye.

And then they went inside.

They jumped on their comfortable dog bed.

And took a well-needed nap.
