Are you ready to meditate with Kari?
Climb up into your bed and get super comfortable.
Make sure that everything is just right in your room.
The light is just right.
You're wearing your comfortable pajamas and everything is good in the world so that you can relax your body and let go of your busy,
Busy day.
Tucker and Leo had gone over to Linus and Clementine's house.
Their friend Abby and Amelia was also there.
They were very excited because Linus and Clementine's mom was going to show them how to make French toast.
I love French toast.
I love me some French toast.
I love me some Italian toast.
I love me some German toast.
I love me some English toast.
Just with a little bit of butter.
I love me all sorts of kind of toasts.
So I'm very excited about your mummy making French toast.
I'm very,
Very excited about it.
Are you excited,
Leo?
I'm not sure.
I've never tasted French toast.
Does it have anything in it that I could be allergic to?
Linus said,
It has cinnamon in it.
Are you okay with cinnamon?
Leo said,
I'm not sure if cinnamon makes me itch or not.
Does cinnamon make me itch,
Tucker?
Leo!
Leo!
Everything makes you itch.
No,
Seriously,
Tucker.
Am I allergic to cinnamon?
I forgot.
Leo!
How could you be allergic to French toasties?
French toasties is the bestest toastie in the world.
It's delicious.
It's sweet.
It's,
It's,
It's,
It's not sweet.
It's,
What is it,
Guys?
Clementine said,
French toast is the one that you dip in egg,
Tucker.
It's eggy,
Leo.
You like eggs?
We like eggs.
We like eggs a lot,
Don't we?
We do.
We like eggs.
Leo said,
Yeah,
I do like eggs.
Well,
Then I think we're going to like French toastie.
Definitely.
Have you had French toastie before,
Abby?
Abby says,
Yes,
I have,
And it's delicious.
How about you,
Amelia?
Do you like French toastie?
Amelia said,
Yes,
Yes,
I do.
It's delicious.
See?
Everyone likes French toastie,
So we're going to be good.
OK,
Where's Mommy?
Clementine said,
Mom's in the kitchen.
Come on,
Let's go in the kitchen.
She's waiting for us.
Clementine and Linus' mom told everyone that they had to wash their hands.
It was very important that they had clean hands and clean paws.
Tucker and Leo washed their paws in a dish of water with soap in it,
And the kids washed their hands on the sink.
Then they dried off,
And then everyone put cooking aprons on so that they wouldn't get powdered sugar and egg and everything all over the place.
And then they got to work.
The kids' mom said,
First of all,
You need a very good white soft bread,
Something that will soak up all of the eggs.
She had everyone crack an egg.
Since there's so many of us,
We're going to need quite a few eggs.
She started to whisk the eggs,
And then she passed the bowl around the room,
And everybody had a good whisk at the eggs.
Tucker said,
I'm doing it so good.
Look at me.
I'm so good at whisking.
Who would have thought I'd have been so good at whisking?
Tucker's tongue was sticking out,
And he was also almost drooling in the bowl until Leo said,
Tongue in,
Tucker.
And then Tucker pulled in his giant tongue.
Sorry,
Sorry.
Then the kids' mom said,
These are the ingredients that need to go in the eggs.
Now,
Some people think there isn't anything that goes in the eggs,
But if you want to make the bestest French toast in the entire world,
Then you have to put these particular things in the eggs with the egg mix because it makes it absolutely perfect.
First,
She shook in quite a bit of cinnamon.
She was shaking the little cinnamon pot for quite a long time.
That's a lot of cinnamon,
Said Tucker.
Leo,
I hope you're not allergic.
Leo said,
Yeah,
Me too.
Then she put the tiniest,
Tiniest,
Tiniest shake of salt in it.
Salt,
Said Tucker.
The kids' mom said,
Yes,
It brings out all the flavors,
But you only need the tiniest,
Tiniest bit.
Then she added maple syrup to the eggs.
Maple syrup is absolutely delicious.
It's one of my particular favorites,
Said Tucker.
I remember one time,
Right,
One time mommy left the maple syrup out.
She left it out on the side,
And she obviously was silly about that because,
Oh,
I could smell it.
I could smell it.
I could smell it so much.
And then I got up onto the side.
I put my two front paws up onto the side,
And I knocked the saple myrrup,
The maple syrup.
I knocked the maple syrup down onto the kitchen floor,
And a plastic container cracked open.
And there I was like a honey bear,
Licking up all the maple syrup,
Leo said.
Honey bears,
I thought they liked honey.
Oh,
Yes,
Well,
It's sweet like maple syrup.
Yeah,
Yeah,
That's right,
Said Leo.
Then their mom started to mix the cinnamon,
The pinch of salt,
And the maple syrup in with the eggs.
She also said,
And the final ingredients is a splash of vanilla.
Ooh,
Vanilla,
Said Tucker.
Tucker was thoroughly enjoying this cooking exercise.
Can I mix it?
Can I mix it again,
Please?
Tucker started whisking the eggs with all the new ingredients in it,
With his tongue sticking out again.
Linus said,
Tongue in,
Tucker.
Tucker pulled his tongue in really fast.
Sorry.
They passed it around the circle,
And everyone had a quick whisk at the eggs.
And then Clementine and Linus' mom dipped in all the pieces of bread.
The pieces of bread,
She flipped them on one side and flipped them on the other,
And then they soaked up all of the eggs.
And she left them there on the side in the bowl.
Then she moved over to the stove and put a cast iron pan on top of the stove.
And she put a little bit of butter in it and a little bit of olive oil in it.
And she waited until it got hot and melted.
It needs to be on a medium heat,
She said.
Don't put it too high,
Otherwise everything will burn.
And everyone,
Watch your paws and your fingers around this stove,
Please.
Everyone stood a little bit further back so that they didn't burn themselves.
When the stove reached the temperature that Linus and Clementine's mom said was the right temperature,
She started to put the pieces of bread into the pan.
They sizzled and made a lot of noise,
And it smelled good already.
Then she said,
You have to wait.
You have to be patient and wait.
You can't flip them over until they're ready.
Otherwise,
They'll stick.
They have to be golden brown.
Amelia,
Abby,
Clementine,
And Linus all stood around very quietly.
Tucker did not stand around quietly.
Tucker was chasing his tail.
He was so excited.
I can smell it.
It smells so delicious.
Leo said,
Just chill out.
Otherwise,
We'll get chucked out of the kitchen because if you hit anything or bang anything or knock anything over,
Then we're gonna get in trouble.
Tucker sat down and calmed down and waited.
And then she flipped all the pieces of bread over to brown the other side.
Once again,
There was a loud sizzle and crackle as the cold egg hit the hot pan.
And then they waited again.
They sniffed.
They waited.
They were starting to get very hungry.
And then the kids' mom put out a bunch of plates.
She got out the powdered sugar and a sieve.
What is that for?
Is that to wear on your head?
Said Tucker.
No,
Said Clementine.
Silly.
That's what you put the powdered sugar in and then you sprinkle it on top.
Oh,
I thought it was a hat.
It looks like a hat,
Don't it,
Leo?
Leo started laughing.
Then the kids' mom said,
Right,
There's a piece for everyone.
She divided all the pieces out onto the different plates in front of everybody,
Sat waiting very patiently.
Then she put the powdered sugar into the sieve and very skillfully tapped on the side of the sieve and knocked the powdered sugar on top of each one of the plates so that each piece of French toast was covered in delicious powdered sugar.
And then the final thing was the maple syrup.
Do you want me to do the maple syrup or do you all want to put your own maple syrup on?
Everyone in unison said,
Our own maple syrup.
Of course,
She thought that would be pretty silly.
First of all,
She let Leo put his maple syrup on and then she had to warn Tucker because Tucker was pouring it on as if it was a bucket load.
Then she passed it to Linus and Clementine and they put their maple syrup on.
And then finally,
Abby and Amelia put their maple syrup on.
Of course,
Maple syrup is the best part.
Of course,
You have to have quite a lot of maple syrup on your French toast.
And then it came to the taste test.
Ooh,
Ooh,
Mm,
Delicioso,
Said Tucker.
Leo said,
Ooh,
Ooh,
Yeah,
This is really good.
Linus and Clementine,
Amelia and Abby were just too involved,
Too engrossed in their French toast to even comment except for mm,
As they were chewing it.
Then finally,
Linus said,
It's delicious,
Mom.
Clementine nodded and said,
Yeah,
It's lovely,
Mom.
And then Amelia and Abby both said,
Thank you,
It's really good.
The French toast was the bestest French toast.
Those secret ingredients of the extra vanilla,
The maple syrup,
Tiniest bit of salt and the cinnamon all mixed in with the eggs definitely made it really,
Really good.
After they finished with the French toast,
The kids,
Leo and Tucker,
All decided to go on the back garden and play off the French toast.
Linus and Clementine had a swing set,
So they played on that for a while.
Went up and down the slide,
They climbed on it,
They swung on the swings,
Chased each other around the garden with a ball.
Leo and Tucker thought that was really fun.
And then they were basically tired.
It's time for a nap.
So Tucker and Leo,
Amelia and Abby all went home.
When Tucker and Leo got home,
They instantly dropped down onto their big,
Comfortable dog beds.
Laying next to each other,
Leo said,
I'm glad I'm not allergic to French toast.
I haven't had any itchers,
Any hives or anything.
Tucker said,
Oh my goodness,
I'd completely forgot about that,
Leo.
Yes,
We could have had you in the ER.
All that cinnamon that Mrs.
Clementine and Linus's mommy put in it,
It was a lot of cinnamon.
Yes,
It was,
But it was so good,
Weren't it?
Tucker said,
It was,
It was delicious.
I'm a fan,
I'm a fan of cinnamon.
And I'm so glad you're not allergic to cinnamon.
Yeah,
Me too,
Said Leo.
And then Leo closed his eyes and put his head down onto his legs and started to drift off to sleep.
And then very shortly after,
Tucker followed along until both of them were fast asleep.
The end.

Absolutely amazing! I have a few questions I would like answered 1: Could you add more dogs? We have so many cats now but only 2 main dogs plus Sasha but she is never spoken about! 2: If you do this without a script, how don’t you get off track , laugh or forget what you’re saying? It’s insane 3; Are the dogs/cats based off of real animals? Like are they your pets

That is just how my mom makes French toast and it is so good! I would like to think that they used real maple syrup from Canada, given to them as a gift by the sisters from their trip. 🇨🇦 🍁
