Are you ready to meditate with Kari?
I want you to make sure that you're laid in bed and everything is just right.
The lights are just right.
You're all snuggly and warm.
You know that everyone loves you and all is good in the world so that you can relax and let go of your busy day.
For this relaxing meditation story,
See if you can use your imagination.
I don't think I've ever met anyone that doesn't like puppies.
Puppies are just so cute and furry and snuggly and cuddly.
Sometimes they're so funny.
And if there was a puppy world where all that exists are the cutest little puppies that you've ever,
Ever seen and all of these puppies that live in puppy world want to be your friend.
Close your eyes and take a big deep breath for me.
Imagine you're breathing all the way down to your tiny little toes.
When you breathe in,
Wiggle your toes as if you're saying hello to the sunshine.
Tell them and say,
Here I am toes,
I feel you,
I see you and then when you breathe out,
Let your toes get really still and sleepy and heavy.
When you breathe in,
Take a big deep breath in and move your legs from side to side in your bed.
Turn them to the left,
Turn them to the right,
Wiggle them around and then when you breathe out,
Stop and keep them very,
Very still.
When you breathe in next time,
See if you can wiggle your tush on your bed.
Just wiggle your tush as if you're wagging your tail like a puppy.
Wiggle it and then when you breathe out,
Stop and be very,
Very still.
Take your arms or your hands out of the covers and wave them up in the air and flap them around all over the place and then when you breathe out,
Lay them down,
Keep them very,
Very still.
Take a nice big deep breath in,
Roll your head to the left,
To the right,
To the left,
To the right and then when you breathe out,
Stop and be still.
When you breathe in,
Scrunch up all your face,
Tighten your eyes really tight,
Scrunch up your mouth and your lips.
When you breathe out,
Soften your face and completely relax.
Now to using your imagination,
Keeping your eyes closed so that you can see with your inner eyes.
Imagine that you're walking down a really pretty path.
It's a nice sunny day and there's lots of people smiling and happy walking up and down the path.
Everyone seems to be in a really good mood.
Keep walking and walking and as you walk,
You can feel the steps underneath your feet and you notice you've got a springy step like you're happy and jolly and bouncy today.
You feel as light as a feather,
Very,
Very happy inside.
You keep walking and walking and then the path looks like it's going towards a very big house but it doesn't look like a normal house.
It's a house that's shaped just like a dog.
Like a dog would be sat down and its two front paws are stretched in front of it and its head is all raised up and ready as if it's wagging its tail and welcoming you to come closer and closer.
As you get closer,
You notice that the front door is what looks like its legs but the front door opens up to welcome you closer.
The birds are singing,
The sun is shining,
There's no clouds in the sky.
This puppy dog shaped house looks very happy to see you,
Like a dog that's friendly,
A friendly happy dog face.
You walk closer to the door and you go through the puppy dog's legs into the puppy house.
You look around this big ginormous room and it's full of everything,
All different colors,
Colors of the rainbow.
It looks like the whole room is full of big soft comfortable pillows.
You think wow,
This looks like a nice place to just hang out and relax.
But as you move further into the room,
You notice that the pillows aren't pillows.
The pillows are actually all different shapes and sizes of the most cutest puppies that all start to move and wag their tails and run up to you and lick you and say hi,
Hi,
Hi,
Welcome to puppy world.
The puppies are so super excited to see you,
Like they want to snuggle and cuggle.
You see a big giant sofa that's bright yellow and you make your way over to the sofa and you sit down on the sofa and you notice that it is the most comfy sofa ever.
You seem to just sink deep into the big soft pillows and all of the different colored puppies run with you and jump up on the sofa and cuddle in next to you.
You must have caught at least 20 different puppies all around you.
Some of them are golden,
Some of them are black,
Some of them have spots,
Some of them have like different patches and different stripes.
So many different puppies.
But all of the puppies have something in common.
They want to snuggle with you and be your bestest friend.
They lick on you and tickle you and snuggle in and sniff you and you try and stroke as many as possible and you notice all the ones that you stroke seem to calm down very quickly.
They just want to lay next to you and be with you.
You take turns in stroking all the cute little puppies.
You lean back into the big yellow sofa.
You're so happy.
This is the bestest place in the world.
Puppy world full of puppies that love me.
This is just so awesome.
If you're really happy inside and all your tummy is happy,
Your heart is open and singing and feel like you've got butterflies,
You're so happy,
Happy,
Happy.
You know sometimes when you're that happy that you just want to burst and your face is hurting because you're smiling so much.
That's you right now.
This is the best day ever.
This is the best place ever.
You decide after quite some time of trying to stroke all of these cute,
Cute,
Cute puppies that you might just let yourself sink a little bit deeper into this big,
Soft,
Comfortable yellow sofa.
And as you do,
It's like the cushions just get softer.
Like you're laying on a bed of white,
Fluffy feathers.
It feels so spongy and soft,
Like you're just floating there in midair.
The material is very soft and silky.
Then you lay your head back a little bit and the puppies seem to calm down even more,
Just like you're calming down.
The puppies snuggle deeper and deeper into the sides of your body,
Under your arms,
They're laid on your lap.
Some puppies around your feet.
There's puppies everywhere and they all smell so cute and clean.
Little puppies that you just want to cuddle and kiss and hold and stroke and snuggle on all night long.
Your eyes start to get just a little bit heavy.
Your body feels so happy and comfortable and safe.
Feel really good in this puppy world.
Good enough to let yourself relax even more.
You're so comfortable and so happy to be there.
When you're feeling so loved by all the little cute puppies,
You look down at your feet again and start to whittle your toes.
As you whittle your toes,
Some of the puppies try and nibble and lick on your toes and it tickles and it's funny.
But then you stop,
Stay very,
Very still and the puppies close their eyes and start to go back to sleep.
You notice when you stop stroking the puppies that they all close their eyes as if it's nap time or bedtime.
They all look very happy with you.
They're very happy to be laid next to you.
Laid on top of your lap.
You think it's best that you don't move around anymore.
You try and stay as still as you can so that all these tiny little puppies can go to sleep.
And because you're staying so still and quiet,
You start to go to sleep.
Your eyes get even heavier and you're having a hard time keeping them open.
When you close your eyes,
It feels so nice.
The muscles in your face get all soft and comfortable and relaxed.
Your shoulders get heavy and sleepy.
Your whole body feels so rested.
So safe.
All the puppies are sleeping now.
And you decide to just let go and sink deeper and deeper into the couch.
The big yellow soft sofa.
So sleepy.
So happy.
There in puppy world.
It's the best place ever.
Just sleep.
Go to sleep.
