Good morning.
My name is Cori and this is a morning heart opening meditation.
Thank you for joining me in this meditation.
I hope that you get a wonderful,
Joyful,
Blissful feeling by the end of it.
If you'd like to come into a comfortable seated position for me.
Make sure that your back is nice and straight.
Relax your hands on your lap or on your knees.
Soften your jaw and just relax your chin down to your chest slightly.
Relax in the back of your neck.
Close down your eyes if you haven't done so.
And let's begin.
Start to pay attention to your breathing pattern.
At this point in your meditation don't try and change anything.
Just breathe your natural breathing.
Be an observer of your breath.
You can use your breath to anchor you in your meditation so that you have something to focus on.
This allows you to let go of the outside world.
It allows the mind to start to stop being as busy.
To slow down a little bit.
Focusing just on your breath narrows the attention.
And that's why we always do this in the beginning of meditations.
We bring our attention to the breath.
It's like we're bringing ourselves back home.
Then start to manipulate your breath and slow it down.
Bring your breath into a calmer,
Slower pace.
And feel the natural reaction in your body to that change.
Notice that your body might soften.
It may feel more still and quiet inside.
Calmer.
Your breath can create that sense of calmness quite easily.
Pull your breath now with more intention down into the centre of your chest and your physical heart.
So imagine that you're pulling your breath.
You feel it coming in through your nose,
Down into your throat,
Down into your lungs.
And then pulling around the centre of your chest right there where your heart chakra lies.
In the middle of your ribs.
And also pulling down into your physical heart on the left side of the chest.
To give our practice more intention and to add on a visualisation,
See in your mind that you're breathing in a beautiful emerald green light.
And you're pulling that into your nose,
Down into your throat,
Down into your heart chakra in the centre of your chest,
Down into your physical heart.
And as you exhale,
Breathe out and let go of any tension.
Let your shoulders drop and relax.
Feel your jaw soften and relax and let go of any tension.
Maybe open your mouth just a little bit,
Creating space between your teeth.
Pull the emerald green light down with every breath and start to see in your mind that your heart chakra is like a lotus flower there in the middle of your chest.
And every time you breathe in this emerald green light,
It starts to open like a bud,
A flower starting to open up slowly.
You're feeding your heart chakra with this energy,
This loving emerald green light.
Pulling some love into your body,
Pulling that love.
Let it fall and penetrate in and around your physical heart.
Let it pull in the centre of your chest,
Starting to expand,
Open.
It may feel nice to just raise your chest slightly,
Pull back your shoulders a little bit as if you're making more space for this loving energy to come into your body.
Pull the light in,
Breathe out and let go of anything that doesn't serve you.
All we're doing now is just fueling our body,
Specifically our heart chakra with this loving light.
Pull the love in,
Pull some love in this morning.
And breathe out and let go of any,
Any tiredness,
Tension,
Stress.
Pull in that emerald green light,
Imagine it's pouring into your heart space like magical rain.
Drenching away any grief,
Any sadness,
Any hurt.
Filling your body with love and light.
Your chest is opening and expanding even more with every breath.
Starting to feel very spacious,
Open,
Light.
You'll notice the rest of your body is starting to feel lighter.
Imagine this emerald green light is spreading up into your shoulders,
Down into your arms.
See the light rolling up into your throat,
This loving energy,
Up into your face.
Breathe the light and watch it expand down into your abdomen,
Down into your legs.
It's flowing through your entire body,
All the way to the tips of the toes,
The tips of your fingers,
And the crown of your head,
Filled with emerald green loving energy.
You feel light,
You feel completely open,
And full of love.
Your cells,
Your bones,
Your muscles,
Every aspect of your physical being is filled with this loving emerald green light.
See this light staying with you all day long,
Allowing your heart to be full of joy,
And bliss,
And loving energy.
