Welcome to this candlelit meditation with Kari.
To do the meditation with me,
Make sure that you've got some kind of candle placed in front of you and you're sat in a seated position.
Settle into your body,
Straighten your spine,
Check in and relax your shoulders,
Pull them down away from your ears.
Take in a big,
Deep,
Cleansing breath.
See if you can breathe all the way down into the base of your abdomen.
And then as you breathe out,
Use your breath with the intention of clearing the space,
Like a reset button.
Your breath in and your breath out is settling you into your meditation,
Allowing you to change your focus.
Right now,
All I want you to do is start to stare at your flame.
Find a rhythm with your breathing that feels comfortable.
It doesn't have to be long,
Slow,
Deep breaths for this meditation.
Just breathe in a rhythm that feels relaxed and calming for you.
And watch your flame.
Soften your eyes,
Relax in your gaze.
Check that you don't have tension in your jaw,
Release your teeth so they're parted slightly and relax the tongue away from the roof of your mouth.
See if you can start to be very,
Very still.
The only thing that's moving inside of you is your breath making your chest rise and fall.
Maybe your abdomen is moving and expanding out and in,
But that's it.
Nothing else is moving.
You sat in complete stillness.
Notice when you relax your eyes and your gaze,
There seems to be a ring around the light that blurs any textures of the surface your candle is on.
For example,
If it's on the ground or if it's on a table in front of you,
Notice that there's a ring of what looks like light,
But also darkness at the same time around your candle.
And then if you squint your eyes slightly,
You'll see beams of light coming towards you from the candle.
Like a stream,
Strings of light as if they're coming towards your chest.
Watch how the flame moves.
If you feel like your mind is overthinking and racing and not allowing you to focus,
Just repeat inside of your mind as you watch the flame.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Try speaking out loud and try telepathically speaking internally.
So you're occupying a part of the brain that's busy with this new statement,
Just breathing in and breathing out.
That makes it harder for the left brain to chatter because you're occupying it with a statement that you're repeating and also the visualization of the candle.
Settle in with that.
Be still and just allow the flame to start to mesmerize you,
Lull you into a deeper state of relaxation.
Allow the flame to communicate with you.
Watch how it sweats.
How it sways and moves and shifts.
The light appears to be searching,
Like it's constantly reaching and searching,
Just like we do.
Notice how it moths and changes shape and form,
Just like we do in different situations of life.
Let your heart open.
As if you're allowing the beams of light and the warmth coming from your candle to enter into the doorway of your heart.
Breathing in the light,
Becoming warm with the flame.
Breathing out the light,
Becoming warm with the flame.
Allow the flame to just dance for you as if it's alluring you in and captivating you into the magic of its light.
Imagine that your being is opening,
Receiving the energy to the light.
What if the streams of light coming towards your heart center?
What if those pearls of light contained information,
Wisdom,
Knowledge from source,
From other dimensions and higher vibrational beings?
The light has the codes of that knowledge encapsulated inside of it and it's been fed into your being through your heart.
Allow it to come in.
There you are,
Listened.
Relaxing deeper into the light.
Relaxing deeper into the light.
Relaxing deeper into the light.
Relaxing deeper into the light.
Allow your gaze to soften.
Be pulled deeper into the flame.
Move yourself over to the light.
Relaxing deeper into the light.
Relaxing deeper into the light.
Relaxing deeper into the light.
Take a deep breath and allow the breath to signify closure of your meditation.
As you breathe out,
Blow out the candle.
Sit with the shadow and the darkness for a moment.
And have gratitude for the duality that is here present on Earth.
