Welcome to your guided meditation for peace and calm.
I'd like you to take a seat or lie on the floor in a comfortable position and take a nice deep breath in through the nose,
Fill the belly and then the chest with air and out through the mouth,
In through the nose and out through the mouth,
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
Now let your breathing fall into a normal rhythm and allow all the tension in your body starting from the top of your head all the way down to your feet simply wash away,
Feel the wave of calm as it cleanses your soul.
I want you to begin to listen,
Listen to my voice and any other sounds around you.
Do not try to identify them,
Simply allow them to play a symphony on your eardrums.
As thoughts and emotions begin to rise,
Just observe them,
Just observe them and allow them to float by like a cloud.
If your mind begins to get stuck on a single thought or wander in a million different directions,
Just bring your awareness and your attention back to your breathing,
Back to the releasing of tension all throughout your body.
Sit with this and enjoy these few moments of peace and quiet.
You have a choice.
You have a responsibility that is simply your response.
Will you respond in anger and frustration or will you respond with peace,
Love and light?
We may not be able to control the emotion that arises,
But we are in control of how we respond to it and how we utilize it.
Make the decision for yourself,
For you are in control.
You have the power.
Peace comes from within,
No matter how chaotic,
Outside.
Whenever you have that feeling that chaos is on the horizon,
Simply take a deep breath and go within a place where you can always find peace.
