Hi there,

This is Clemens from MindAnchor and today I would like to invite you for this short meditation on hardship.

There are moments in life where we all feel overwhelmed,

Anxious,

Stressed about something and we're going through difficult emotions.

This meditation is an invitation to actually feel all these emotions surrounding a hard difficult period.

So to start find a comfortable position upright on your chair or on the floor.

When you settle in you can close your eyes and simply taking a moment to notice the chair or the cushion beneath you,

Your body making contact with the floor,

Noticing that you are being held,

That you are grounded here,

Simply being aware of the inflow and outflow of the breath no matter how it is right now.

Cool air flowing in through the nose,

Warmer air flowing out of the nose and then allowing the focus,

Allowing all the attention,

All the awareness to drop into the emotional realm,

To drop into the heart.

Noticing what is here right now.

Does your heart feel warm or cool,

Open or closed,

Tense,

Relaxed?

What kind of emotions are present in your body,

In your heart right now?

Maybe there's a sense of overwhelm,

A sense of I don't want to feel these emotions right now.

Just know that this is the right space to actually feel everything that is present.

Right now you have the full permission to drop into everything that is here right now and if there are tears forming in your eyes then simply let them be,

Let them roll down your cheeks.

If you feel a sense of tension in your chest,

Let that be and watch it with curiosity like when a child meets a dog for the first time.

Looking at it,

Wondering what it might be,

How it may feel,

What texture does it have?

How does that feeling,

How does that emotion in your body,

In your heart feel like?

What kind of shape does it have?

What kind of texture does it have?

Is it more soft or more rough on the outside?

Which color does that feeling have?

Observing that emotion,

That feeling with childlike curiosity and staying with it,

Allowing it,

Embracing it.

And since it can be really difficult to actually fully allow and fully feel what is present,

Give yourself some self-compassion in the form of a gentle touch.

You can place one hand on your heart or you can give yourself a little hug,

Allowing yourself to feel the warmth that you have,

The love that you have.

Fully feel that compassion towards yourself.

This too shall pass just like everything in life.

And slowly bring your hands back on your knees,

On your lap.

Notice the sounds around you.

Gently wiggle your toes,

Your fingertips.

And once you're ready,

You can slowly,

Gently open your eyes again.

Welcome back.

You can be incredibly proud of yourself for having taken this time to actually feel what is present right now.

I wish you all the best in this difficult time.

You got this.

Have a wonderful day and see you very soon.
