Hi,
This is Clara and I'm glad you joined me for this guided sleep story.
This episode aims to provide a peaceful and calming environment,
Blending storytelling,
Meditation,
Natural sounds and soothing music to help you unwind and achieve restful sleep.
Whether you have difficulty falling asleep,
Need a way to relax after a long day,
This episode is designed to provide you with the perfect escape.
Before we begin,
Take a moment to find a comfortable position,
Whether sitting or lying down,
And gently close your eyes.
Breathe in deeply,
Filling your lungs with air,
And exhale slowly,
Releasing any tension or stress you might be carrying.
With each breath,
Visualize a wave of profound relaxation washing over your body.
Starting from the crown of your head and cascading down to your toes.
Now,
Allow the gentle rhythm of your breath to guide you deeper into a state of tranquility.
As you continue to breathe,
Let go of any worries,
Anxieties,
Concerns or distractions weighing on your mind.
Allow the present moment to envelop you fully,
As you surrender to stillness and peace.
Feel the weight of the day gently melt away,
As you invite relaxation to fill your whole being.
In this sacred space of tranquility,
Let your mind settle,
Allowing any racing thoughts to gradually fade into the background.
Your only focus now is the gentle rise and fall of your breath,
Nurturing your body and soothing your soul.
Feel the warmth spread throughout your entire being,
As every cell in your body becomes infused with a deep sense of calm.
This is your time to find deep sleep and recharge,
To let go of the demands of the outside world and embrace the healing power of stillness.
Embrace this moment as a gift to yourself,
Where you can nourish your mind,
Body and spirit.
Some places in the world are so remote,
They're challenging to get to.
First of all,
You need time to travel there,
And you have plenty of that.
Second,
You need a compass,
A map and the experience to use them.
Third,
You need tenacity and persistence to keep going during those times when the destination seems impossible to reach.
This destination has no road to it,
Remote as it is.
So you have to rely on your navigational skills and sometimes even the stars at night.
For companionship,
You have your thoughts,
The beauty of the natural world surrounding you and the sure-footed horse who willingly carries all your gear and occasionally yourself when you're weary from walking.
The most challenging part of the journey is behind you,
The most challenging part of the journey is behind you.
Long days in the desert,
Gritty days with intense heat,
Watering holes that were difficult to find and once a dust storm that materialized out of a clear blue sky.
Now a new terrain has opened up into a wide open grassland with a maze of wormholes where springs appear only to vanish into underground caverns.
Then suddenly reappear,
Bubbling up many miles distant.
When the flaming red sun dips below the horizon,
Casting brilliant hues of warm and pastel colors across the clear sky,
You encounter the half-tamed donkeys.
They've passed the desert,
They've passed the afternoon flicking away flies and squinting towards the sun and now take their last sips from one of the springs before vanishing into the vast landscape for the night.
The crisp air makes you shiver and you intuitively feel you must be close to your destination.
Lighting a lamp,
You consult the map.
The coordinates point right here to the enormous boulder next to a watering hole and the springs.
You take the pack from the horse's back,
Rub his forehead and set him free to eat the lush grass and drink from the stream which is just deep enough for him to wade in.
You set up camp and have a fire going in no time with some water boiling for tea.
With some water boiling for tea,
The sky now turns from orange to purple.
Then dark sets in.
The only thing you see is the horse whose black reflection is cast upon the glimmering starlet surface of the watering hole.
Echo springs so far away from anywhere so empty of anything that any sound you make would take six hours to echo back.
Later,
As you lie cozily in your small tent your mind is as clear and open as the remote land outside.
Your only awareness is the sound of the fire,
The gentle spring,
The gentle spring and the horse eating grass.
