Welcome.
I'm Cindy Foster and today's practice is using guided imagery in order to let go and relax into your own being and build this internal resource of using your imagination as a healing tool.
So just getting comfortable,
Whatever that is for you,
Sitting in a chair,
Lying down,
Whatever you choose today,
As you give yourself this time for you to just be as you are in this moment with whatever is going on within you,
Around you.
And as you settle in and get quiet,
You might notice different energies within you,
Thoughts moving around,
Any sensations within your body.
And then just noticing whatever you notice right now.
Just imagining yourself relaxing and just letting go or the possibility of allowing yourself to just be as you are,
As muscles soften and loosen as they will in this moment,
No pressure.
As you allow yourself to be that loving,
Curious,
Loving operator of your own mind,
Body,
Heart.
As you come in touch with your breathing,
Just breathing as you normally would,
Breath flowing in and flowing out,
And noticing your belly softly expanding on the in-breath,
And gently deflating on the out-breath.
Safe and comfortable within your breathing and within your being.
And each breath you take in and release out allows you to go even deeper in this calm,
Aware state.
And now just imagining a place where you feel safe and peaceful,
Where you can just be you,
Wherever that is for you.
And it can be a place either make-believe or real,
A place you've always wanted to go,
A place in your own backyard or home,
Wherever that is for you today.
Just so it's a place that feels good,
Safe and comfortable.
And if more than one image comes to mind,
Just choosing one special place right now.
And allowing this place to become real to you.
And taking this place in with your eyes,
Looking to the right of you,
To the left of you,
Noticing the colors,
The shapes,
The scenery.
And listening to the comforting sounds that this place has to offer you.
If you're outdoors,
Maybe listening to the gentle wind rustling through the leaves of trees or nature sounds,
Birds,
Whatever it is for you.
As your ears take in these soothing sounds.
And if you wish,
You can allow yourself to lie on the ground or whatever you feel you wish to do in this place of calm acceptance and peace and wisdom.
Maybe you're looking up and seeing the soft,
Fluffy clouds moving and changing as they will.
The rhythms and flow of life as seasons shifting,
Natural rhythms and motion of life.
Like the breath naturally flowing in and out.
And letting your ears just become familiar with all the beautiful sounds that this special,
Safe place offers up to you.
And perhaps feeling air or wind gently caressing your skin or the softness of the grass or maybe comfortably warm with the sun on your skin.
As you soak up all the comfort this place has to offer.
And maybe feeling the warmth of healing within you as you just be and breathe and imagine.
As you take in this safe and comfortable place with all of your senses,
As you just allow the wonder,
The beauty,
The richness of this place to flow through you.
As you sink deeper and deeper into calm.
As your body naturally healing,
Mind,
Body,
Heart.
Your beautiful spirit aligned for your continued healing and health and optimal wellness as you just breathe.
And feeling the love and acceptance,
Your own self-trust and just being here with yourself in this way.
As this deeper connection naturally grows within you.
And as you allow this resting into your own awareness naturally,
Effortlessly.
Any stuck or blocked energy that is stored anywhere within you gently releasing out.
As you breathe in more and more space to breathe and be.
And enjoy just being you in this moment of peace.
Any stuck or blocked energy that is stored within any part of you now just releasing out on its own accord.
Nothing you have to do.
Just being and allowing.
As you breathe in more space to live.
More space for you to be as you are.
Accepting you as you are in that evolving living soul that you are.
And feeling this inner connection within you.
As that loving,
Soothing,
Safe and caring place.
Visualizing all the beauty surrounding you as you just drift and be with yourself in this caring and soothing way.
As you continue just relaxing into your own goodness.
Trusting the flow of life and you in this moment.
And feeling appreciation and gratitude for all that you are and all that exists in your life today.
And feeling your own self-compassion and kindness.
As you hold yourself in your own love and understanding.
And after the rain comes the sun and you feel that sunlight all through you everywhere.
And knowing that you can reach this place anytime you wish to.
And feeling that comfort and safety.
And this healing imagery is an internal resource for you to draw upon any time you wish.
Whether you give yourself time like this to just be with it and develop it and allow it.
Or just having this image or a symbol of it with you throughout the day.
Or letting your mind allow you to revisit this place like a picture in your mind's eye when you feel stressed at times.
And now when you're ready noticing your whole self here.
Notice your breathing.
Notice your body.
Refreshed.
Feel energy moving through you.
And thanking yourself for taking the time for you to just be in this way.
As you continue to develop healing,
Soothing images for your mind,
Body,
Your heart,
Your wonderful spirit.
To connect with and rest with and relax with as you return to the present moment.
Notice your whole self,
Whatever you're sitting on or lying on,
Beginning to move your body some.
Stretching,
Feel that energy moving through you.
And when you're ready,
Opening your eyes.
Taking your time,
Noticing whatever you notice right now.
And when you're ready,
Going about your day.
And enjoying yourself.
