**Note: Truth does not always sound pleasant. If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. This talk is a meditation practice. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without getting stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, nor agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Doing so is already a meditation practice.

To understand such an irresistible force and demand from this mental construct of society,

We have to understand the total structure of the self.

To really observe in ourselves the total movement of thoughts that bring about the self,

The ego.

This means that the mind must obviously vouch,

Constantly observe,

See all kinds of self-reaction,

Self-centered activities as they are,

Without any reaction.

If I have a reaction to it,

It means that my self is already evoked.

I'm trapped in the self,

Therefore I can't really observe the self-centered activities.

To observe the self objectively,

The ego must end.

This is a fact.

Everyone must find out in person.

And this is the absolutely necessary requirement of self-inquiry.

To understand,

We have to let go,

Set aside everything.

We can simply vouch quietly at each moment in life.

Watch this amazing thing,

Which is called the self,

The ego,

To see how strong the self is in craving for respectability,

Seeking fame,

Position,

Power,

All kinds of greediness,

Existance.
