What is language?
Most of us have been able to speak at a very young age And as time goes by,
We become more and more sophisticated to use words to express subtly And gradually,
The verse,
The language has almost taken over the life But what is language?
Have we ever really given full attention to this question?
What is language?
What's the relationship between the language and me?
Don't wait for an answer from the speaker,
Go into yourself now Verbs are symbols,
And we give meaning to the verse Our ancestors did that And we imitate the adults,
The people around us to master the language gradually But we didn't notice this process of giving meaning to the verse We take the verse as a thing,
Because that's easy,
Isn't it?
When the mind hears the verse,
The association with that verse immediately pop up in the mind The image,
The thought processes around it functions immediately,
That's why we get meaning of the verse For example,
The word ample points to the fruit So when we hear the word ample,
An image about the fruit pops up But the word ample is not a thing The word is only an abstraction,
It may point to the thing,
But it is not a thing Have you ever noticed this subtle but very important difference?
Perhaps when the speaker utters this word,
Ample Your mind has a different association,
Perhaps it still points to the ample,
But it is yellow color And in the speaker's mind,
It is red color Perhaps there's a very different association,
Perhaps it points to a computer or mobile phone You see,
The verse can have multiple meanings What it triggers in people's mind is different That's why,
Verse are always compromised And if you and me merely verbally communicate,
Which means that we both rely on verse,
Merely on verse to understand There's a very high chance of misunderstanding As it's taking place over the world,
In each corner of living
