To be objective,
I have to understand myself,
Understand the ego.
I must deal with it first.
Because I realize when the ego is there,
I can't be objective.
So to clear the confusion is to understand the confusion.
That's to observe objectively.
But where there's me,
There's no objectivity.
Therefore,
The mind must study itself first.
The me,
The ego,
The self.
So the mind is able to be objective.
To understand why can't I be objective,
I need to watch myself.
Watch my reaction to everything.
Observe the total movement of thoughts.
Observe my reaction to words,
To thoughts,
To images.
Why the mind reacts so quickly?
So I need to watch closely.
That is,
Give full attention to the mind.
Without any judging or condemning.
I don't say it's right or wrong,
But I need to observe my reaction.
So in that very attention,
Everything becomes slow.
Observe the reaction.
Observe the relation between the reaction and the fear.
When I say,
Oh,
When the mind doesn't react,
There's no fear at all.
The fear is mere reaction to thoughts.
In that very observation,
There's understanding.
So in my life,
At different moments,
At each moment,
The mind is observing all the reactions in each word it says,
It hears,
In each thing it does.
The mind observes with full attention.
It's no observer,
Because the observer is still the me,
The self.
Where there's the observer,
Which is the me,
There's only self-deception.
Of course,
The mind couldn't observe objectively.
