Greetings and welcome.

This meditation is an invitation to come home to yourself by feeling the rhythm of life present in the land of the body.

You may be asking,

What is the point of feeling my body?

What will that accomplish?

It is a genuine mystery,

The peace to be found by simply breathing and feeling and being.

The body is a pathway to presence and this practice is to nourish the deepest levels of your being with awareness.

You can either sit or lie down.

Close your eyes and come into your body.

Take a deep breath and exhale through the nose as slowly as possible.

Feel the hush of your exhale quiet the body into stillness.

In this stillness,

Feel your weight and the force of gravity anchoring down in the land of the body.

Allow the body to relax and be as comfortable as you can possibly be.

Just like that.

When thoughts arise,

As they always do,

See if you can observe them like a cloud passing through a blue sky over the land of the body.

When you notice a thought cloud,

Allow it to dissipate.

Feel your breath moving through your body,

Nourishing all life in the land of the body.

Like little love notes to yourself.

Feeling your breath calling in all parts of you to be here now,

Safe and sound.

Know that you have arrived in this moment and just to be here,

Fully present,

Is all that is needed.

There is nothing else you need to be doing,

No thoughts you need to be having.

There is no one else to be going,

Nothing to play,

No people to please.

Just be here,

Aware of the breath moving through the land of the body.

In this space of awareness,

That is meditation.

Allow each breath to settle the body deeper into a sense of peace and tranquility,

Inviting an easy rhythm of breathing in and breathing out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Easy in this balanced breath,

This rhythm of life,

Travelling through the land of the body.

Nourish all life in the land of the body,

Settling now deeper,

Deeper,

Deeper into a sense of peace and tranquility.

Let it be effortless.

Simply breathing and feeling and feeling.

Simply breathing and feeling and feeling.

Safe and sound.

Be here now.

Welcoming in all sensations,

All presence of life in this space of awareness.

A space to feel,

A space to welcome,

A space to sense this rhythm of life moving this breath through the land of the body.

Breathing in and breathing out.

A space of welcome,

Maybe a welcome for insight,

Vision,

Guidance,

Clarity.

Or maybe a welcome to simply be aware that life is moving through the land of the body.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Here and now,

In this moment,

How does it feel,

Breathing and being?

And in this moment,

Welcoming all sensations present in this living earth of the body with nourishing awareness.

Travelling through the land of the body like a trickling creek in a deep forest,

Like a trickling creek flowing,

Nourishing the land of the body with awareness.

Here we go.

Welcoming nourishing awareness at the crown of the head,

Flowing like a trickling creek to the tip of the tongue.

From the crown of the head to the tip of the tongue.

Awareness now travelling in the eyes,

Welcoming all feeling and perception in the eyes,

In the ears.

The eyes and the ears.

All sounds coming in,

All vibrations inside the ears.

Awareness flowing to the forehead,

Eyebrows,

Between the eyebrows and meeting at the bridge of the nose,

Down to the lips,

The two cheeks,

And the jaw,

And the chin.

Awareness in all of the head.

All sensations arising in perception,

Nourishing awareness welcome in all of the head.

And like a trickling creek,

Flowing down,

Nourishing awareness moves to the throat,

The back of the throat,

The front of the neck,

Down to the space between the two calling bones and flowing out each side over the shoulders and the arms,

Down to the elbows and the wrists and into the two hands.

Welcoming nourishing awareness in the hands,

This flow of awareness into the palms and the fingers.

Awareness at the fingertips,

Sensing the changing sensation like a trickling creek pooling in the fingertips.

Like magic,

The creek now flows up carrying the nourishing awareness of the wrists and the elbows,

To the shoulders,

To the back of the shoulders,

Down into the armpits.

Awareness flowing through the ribcage,

Feeling the roundness of the ribcage,

The trunk of the body filling the whole chest with nourishing awareness.

Feel how spacious we're closed,

Open or empty,

Wide or tight.

Welcoming all sensations present as the presence of life here in the heart space,

Sensing the rhythm of life in the chest with awareness rising and falling in the chest,

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Sensing wind blowing through the land of the body,

Feeling the fresh breeze with each breath.

Welcoming awareness filling out the back,

Down the spine,

Nourishing awareness travels like a trickling creek in the earth of the back,

Down the spine and into the belly.

Welcoming all sensations in the belly,

Welcoming all knowing in the belly,

Welcoming these rhythms of life,

Belly expanding and contracting,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Awareness traveling throughout the belly,

Into the lower back,

Down and around the sides of the hips,

Allowing that whole area of the body to be filled with nourishing awareness that travels down from the hips,

Inside the pelvis,

Filling all these spaces with awareness.

All spaces welcome in the land of the body.

The trickling creek is splitting in two right down from the pelvis to each leg,

Through each thigh,

And the knees,

And the shins,

To the ankles,

And the shins,

And the soles of the feet and every one of your toes.

Welcoming this nourishing awareness like a trickling creek traveling from the crown of the head to the tip of the toes.

Home down in the land of the body,

Welcome home to yourself,

Welcome home.

In this space of awareness,

Simply to be here is enough,

Simply breathing and feeling and feeling,

Resting now in the land of the body.

Resting,

Breathing in,

And breathing out.

Feeling the movement of breath in the land of the body,

Let it be gentle,

Gentle movement,

Welcoming rest in this place.

And now welcoming the sound of breath to come alive a little more audibly,

Like an awakening.

Let the breath come alive a little more audibly,

The rhythm of life awakening perhaps a sigh or a hum,

Very gently,

Just like that,

Just like that.

Welcoming all perception that arises in the land of the body with this movement of breath,

This rhythm of life.

Let there be a welcome for whatever arises in perception,

Maybe a feeling of ease or joy to be here now,

Resting.

Let the rhythm of breath move and let there be a welcome for all that arises.

And letting there also be a welcome for a gentle transition back to an everyday state of awareness,

Allowing a little set of movements,

Wiggling the toes,

The fingers,

Ever so gently,

Just like that,

Perhaps a stretch or bend or yawn,

A sigh,

An awakening to movement in this transition back to an everyday state of awareness.

And let there also be a welcome to bring this nourishing awareness with you wherever you go,

Whatever you do,

To just take a moment every so often and pause to notice your breathing in and breathing out.

Perhaps recalling this feeling of having been here now in this practice of awareness of the rhythms of life in the land of the body.

This meditation practice is now complete.

Thank you for being here now.

Be well wherever you go,

Whatever you do.

Thank you for listening.
