Hello and welcome to The Daily Insight.
My name is Christina McMahon and I'm honored to guide you through today's meditation and visualization.
Our focus today is trusting your own process as you are moving towards an intention.
This could be a concrete goal for your life or simply a new state of mind.
Along your way to that intention,
There are going to be things you can control and there may also be events and circumstances along your path that are outside of your control.
The work here is holding steady with your intention while trusting that you can handle whatever happens along the way.
Wishing you a peaceful practice.
Make yourself very comfortable either lying down or sitting up.
Let's begin by quieting the mind and preparing it for visualization.
Begin to notice the gentle waves of your breathing as the breath flows in and out of your body.
Notice how your body responds to the breath,
Where it expands on the inhale and where it draws in on the exhale.
Allow your breath to proceed at its natural rhythm as you follow the sensations of breathing in your body.
Now invite into your mind's eye the image of a long,
Windy path in an emerald green forest.
You can smell the pine scent from the trees,
Hear the soft chirping of the birds as you place one foot after the other and continue down the path.
The end of the path is just outside of your line of vision,
But you can feel what lies ahead.
It is all of the good things that you are intending for your life.
Take a moment now to bring to mind what those things might be for you.
Perhaps a more peaceful state of mind,
Increased health,
Happiness and well-being,
Greater self-love,
Compassion,
Or maybe a happy new relationship,
Or perhaps it is a circle of supportive friends,
A personal goal that you are working towards,
Or a transformation in your career.
Whatever intention that you are holding for yourself in your heart,
You are now filled with an inner knowing that it is waiting for you along this path.
And now,
The only thing you need to do is to trust the path itself.
Go ahead and do that now.
In your mind's eye,
See yourself moving forward slowly yet confidently,
Enjoying all the beautiful sights of the forest along the way.
The golden sunlight slipping through the leaves of the tall trees.
The sound of your feet as they tread on crisp leaves on the ground.
Within all of those sights,
Smells and sounds.
And continue to put one foot in front of the other on your unfolding path.
Just ahead,
There is an unexpected fork in the road and you must choose to go either to the right or to the left.
Remember what you are moving toward on this path.
The intention that you are holding for your life.
Look down the part of the path that veers off to the right.
Now look down the part that veers off to the left.
And using your intuition,
Sense into which direction you would like to go.
Which branch of this path might bring you closer to your intention.
Very lightly,
Without attaching too much to this decision,
Begin to move in your chosen direction,
The direction that feels the best to you on the inside.
And continue to put one foot in front of the other,
Slowly and confidently,
Trusting that this path will take you where you need to go.
Take a few moments now to keep following this path in silence.
Let your imagination show you all of the sights along the way.
And let yourself relish those moments of your travel.
Also allow yourself to pause and rest whenever you need to.
And feel in your body the excitement you have about your intention and the trust that you feel in your path.
Take one last look around you at this peaceful forest.
And promise yourself that you will return to this place in your mind's eye whenever you need a reminder that you are exactly where you need to be right now.
Making conscious,
Intuitive decisions and trusting that whatever unfolds is bringing you closer to your intention.
Now allow all of those images to fade from your mind.
Begin to slowly move your body around.
And when you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes and come back to this moment.
