In this practice,
I'll be sending and inviting Reiki energy to flow to you as you're listening.
Reiki is a gentle healing art that promotes deep relaxation and may also help to reduce stress and anxiety,
Ease pain in the body,
And support the immune system.
Reiki is a wonderful complement to conventional medicine,
Not a substitute for it.
It's a soothing,
Healing modality that I invite you now to relax and enjoy.
Reiki energy is believed to transcend time and space,
So you'll be able to receive the benefits no matter when you listen to this meditation.
So make yourself comfortable now.
You might want to lie down for optimal relaxation or simply ease into a comfortable sitting posture and gently close your eyes.
Begin with some deep cleansing breaths as if you could fill all of your lungs with air on the inhale and then a slow,
Luxurious release on the exhale.
Two more deep breaths just like that,
Drawing your focus inward.
And now relax into a normal breathing pattern,
Bringing mindful attention to the flow of your breath in and out and all of the sensations of your body breathing.
Now in your mind's eye,
See yourself in your favorite scene in nature.
Maybe this is an emerald green forest at dawn,
Or you're walking on a beach with ocean waves lapping at your feet,
Or perhaps you're climbing a majestic mountain or strolling through a meadow of wild flowers.
Whatever scene in nature brings you a sense of peace and beauty,
Go there now.
Feel the sun on your shoulders and a soft,
Gentle breeze whispering all around you.
In and up in the distance,
You see a bright,
Shining light and it's catching your eye.
As you begin to walk towards the light,
You know that this is no ordinary light.
It's a healing light.
And the closer you move towards this light,
The more you connect with it and invite it in.
Go ahead now and enjoy the experience of being in this healing light for the next several seconds.
