You find yourself sat on a soft and very plush blanket,

In the middle of a shaded wood.

Subtle shadows of the leaves and branches up above create a wonder of patterns on the earthy ground below.

It is quiet,

Calm and serene in every way.

Only the faint brushing of leaves rustling is audible.

A mind soothing white noise sound of air,

Greenery and nature calms your thoughts.

Sat comfortably,

The cool summer breeze wafts past your skin,

Breaking the sensation of heat from the summer sun.

Your breathing is steady and slow,

Your body relaxed.

The trees are in full bloom,

With their large green leaves and trunks now being deep shades of brown.

There is not a cloud in sight as you look through the tops of the tall trees,

Only a one colour palette that comprises of an uncomplicated dark blue sky.

The occasional bird can be heard fluttering and flapping nearby,

Getting comfy in a nest within the branches.

Everything feels so slow and unhurried in this moment that you decide to lie down.

Closing your eyes,

You begin to become one again.

You can feel the energy of the roots,

The trunks,

The leaves and the air that you breathe.

You can sense it's calmness,

It's stillness and it's peacefulness.

Being in the middle of these woods,

There is a different atmosphere,

One in which you can take a moment for yourself.

You can allow your stress levels and anxiety to drift away with the breeze through the deep and slow cycle of breathing that you start to experience.

The pressures and weights that you may feel from your life are alleviated and this is felt as your shoulders droop downwards.

As your mind begins to clear,

There seems to be more room in your chest to fill your lungs deeply with the fresh natural air that is abundant all around.

Breathing more slowly,

You perhaps sense that your heart beat is slowing down,

Encouraging your body to further relax.

You drift in and out of consciousness with the quiet ambience.

There is no need to think or do anything right now.

You feel protected and reassured by the trees as you let go of any worries or concerns,

This time is just for you.

You now sense areas of your face softening as you release each thought into the air.

Your brow relaxes,

Bringing a sensation of relief to your eyes.

The muscles in your nose,

Cheeks and upper lip slide downwards as the silence of your mind combines with the white noise movement of the leaves.

As your mind becomes quieter and quieter,

Your mind clears,

Switching off the tap of thoughts that drip feed your mind.

Feelings and sensations gently become more unnoticeable.

With your head heavily resting on the soft blanket beneath,

Your jaw loosens with each deeper breath.

Letting go more and more,

Your shoulders descend as they need not be prepared for anything.

Stress and anxiety is now left behind.

The cool breeze passes your skin,

Cooling down your muscles and your thoughts whilst rebalancing your mind and body.

The only thing you have to do right now is just be.

Feel the quietness of this moment to soothe your mind.

Accepting of the positive effects that you receive,

Your arms rest loosely with each outward breath,

Each elbow now touching the blanket as your forearms cool to the tranquility that you feel.

Slowly,

Your hands release their grasp of any lingering thoughts,

With each finger delicately resting.

The scent of the bark brings clear thinking to your mind and a confidence to your own ability to relax.

Your abdomen and stomach settle nicely to a stillness as you release any butterflies of anxiety into the wild.

As you become calmer,

Your back and spine find a position of comfort from the complete release of tension.

Your pelvis descends heavily,

Bringing the height of your hips down to the blanket.

There is such a feeling of ease as you sense a replenishing energy flowing around your body.

Breathing more deeply and more calmly,

Your legs loosen immensely.

With all parts of your body now resting on the blanket,

Your feet are guided to comfort by your ankles.

Slowly and surely,

Any remaining sensations of tension are remedied as the cool breeze blows between each toe.

Every part of your mind is now at rest,

You are as relaxed as you can be.

Feel the atmosphere of this fantastically blissful space and let go even more.

Breathing more deeply and more calmly,

Your legs loosen intensely.

Breathing more deeply and more calmly,

Your legs loosen intensely.

Breathing more deeply and more calmly,

Your legs loosen intensely.

Breathing more deeply and more calmly,

Your legs loosen intensely.

Breathing more deeply and more calmly,

Your legs loosen intensely.

Slowly and gently coming back,

You become aware of your current surroundings.

You smell all of the scents of the woods and the fresh air that you breathe.

You recognise the blanket that you are resting on and the sounds around.

Within a few seconds,

You will calmly open your eyes.

When you do,

You will continue to experience all of the feelings and sensations.

You will remain settled both in mind and body,

And be refreshed with a new perspective on your day.
