Hi,
We're going to take a moment to quieten our minds,
To help us to feel really relaxed,
Calm and safe.
Because whenever we do this,
Our bodies relax,
Our hearts feel happier,
And we learn things much more easily.
So begin by lying on the floor or on a mat,
With your hands on your chest,
And just start to allow your body to relax.
You can imagine your arms and legs feeling comfortable,
Feeling heavy,
And noticing where your back and legs touch the ground.
And you can imagine that where they touch the ground,
They feel even more comfortable,
Even more relaxed.
And with your hand lying gently on your chest,
You may feel your heart beat,
You may even feel the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe in and out slowly.
Notice your hands for a few moments as they move up and down,
Up and down,
With each deep relaxing breath.
And you can even imagine what it feels like to breathe in different colours.
You can try to breathe in a deep red colour,
A deep red light that might smell like apples or strawberries.
And this deep red colour flows from your chest all the way down your back to your bottom.
This deep healing red colour helps you feel strong and safe.
And the more you breathe in,
The safer and stronger you feel.
Now I wonder if you can imagine breathing in a beautiful bright orange colour.
It might even smell of oranges.
This bright orange light flows from your chest to just below your belly button.
Feel it flowing,
The orange colour flowing there just below your belly button.
And this beautiful orange light makes you feel creative and happy.
And just notice that happy feeling as you imagine all the things you can draw or make with your imagination.
And now you can imagine breathing in the colour yellow.
It might smell of lemon or bananas or lemonade or something delicious.
Just imagine breathing in a beautiful bright yellow light that fills you with energy.
And you can send that energy to a place just above your belly button on your tummy.
Notice what it feels like to feel so full of energy and yet you're lying still,
Beautifully still.
The energy inside helps you feel excited for everything that you can learn and do each and every day.
And now imagine breathing in a beautiful calming green light.
It may even smell of mint or limes or fresh leaves.
You can send that peaceful green feeling to your heart and as you remember all the people you love,
You fill your heart with that green light.
And as you remember all the people you love and care for and you feel this love in your heart,
You can send some of that love back to them as a warm wave of green light flowing to their hearts.
You might even notice that they can feel that warm love too.
And you notice that the more love you send,
The more love you feel in your heart.
Now imagine breathing in a beautiful calming blue,
Just like the blue of a beautiful day high in the sky.
It may smell of blueberries,
This blue light.
And as you send it to your throat,
Your throat fills with all the things you want to say.
Or you want to sing or shout or love.
And now imagine breathing in a dark blue into your forehead.
You can imagine your forehead pulsing and filling you with a feeling of peace and calmness.
As though someone is gently stroking your head.
And now you might imagine breathing in pure violet or purple light right into the very top of your head.
It might smell of your favorite perfume or something very sweet.
And you might imagine feeling connected to everyone else around you.
You might imagine that beautiful purple light connecting you to all your family and friends,
Teachers and neighbors.
Everyone who lives around you,
This pure purple light circles around your head and reaches out to fill the room,
Fill the street,
Fill all the area that you live in.
As you sense everybody in your area that's close to you.
And now notice again your hands resting on your chest and just gently begin to wiggle your fingers,
Gently wiggle your toes.
Notice your arms and legs and gently stretch them out with a nice big out breath.
You can slowly start to move your body and sit up.
Noticing how happy and relaxed you feel.
