This meditation will help you prepare for deep restorative sleep that will help you to awaken at the time you choose,
Feeling refreshed and rebalanced,
Feeling reenergized,
Feeling confident,
Relaxed and calm.
So let's begin with taking a few deep breaths,
Filling your lungs completely and allowing the air to escape with a deep sigh.
And as you feel those sighs,
Allow your body to relax into the most comfortable position.
Settling your hips and spine,
Relaxing all the muscles in your back,
In your legs,
Your shoulders and allowing your feet and your arms to find the most comfortable position,
The deep sleep.
Becoming aware of all the sounds around you,
Perhaps even the sound of your own heartbeat,
The sound of each relaxing deep in-breath.
And all these sounds help you to relax even more.
Becoming aware of the weight of your eyelids and relaxing all the muscles around your eyes so that they feel heavy and ready for sleep.
You may even find that it's hard to open your eyes,
It just feels too comfortable to keep them closed.
And with the sound of my voice and the sound of your breathing,
It's easy to relax even deeper.
As you imagine how good it feels to relax your body even more.
With each beat of your heart,
You might even feel a warmth in your chest.
You might even get a sense of that warmth spreading out across your chest,
Melting and dissolving all tension.
Just like the flickering candle that melts the wax.
Allow that warmth of your beating heart to melt away all trapped emotions or negative feelings,
Or worries or concerns.
Just melt,
Dissolve.
You might even feel them starting to flow,
Flowing out through your arms,
Out through your fingertips,
Or flowing down through your abdomen,
Down through your pelvis,
Legs,
And out through the soles of your feet.
This melting and dissolving and warming continues to clear any trapped,
Difficult emotions,
Any tension in your muscles,
Any places of pain in your heart.
Melting and dissolving,
Drip by drip,
Flowing out through your arms and hands,
Flowing down through your spine,
And down out through your feet.
The more your heart beats,
The more it continues to warm and melt.
Any tension in your face or neck.
Any pain or tension in your shoulders.
Dissolving and melting any tension in your shoulders.
And as your spine warms,
It relaxes even more.
Just feeling your body soften as all the tension flows away.
Becoming aware of all your defenses,
The armor that you place around your heart,
The armor that you place around your body,
Is protection.
And in this safe place,
With deep,
Deep sleep and healing,
You can allow that armor to begin to soften and melt.
Any armor you've placed around your mind.
Any rigid beliefs,
Any rigid behaviors where you've armored yourself against the world,
Against new possibilities.
Feel the melting and dissolving of all limiting beliefs,
All limiting behaviors.
Feeling all lack of self confidence and not feeling good enough.
And feeling the release as your heart melts and dissolves,
All limiting beliefs about yourself or others.
Feeling the release as your heart melts and dissolves,
All limiting behaviors.
And as you feel that warm wave flowing out through your fingers and toes and out through the soles of your feet.
Feeling the release.
Feeling the release.
Melting and dissolving all pain,
Dissolving and melting away all frustration.
And with each deep in breath,
Your body feels lighter.
As you prepare to sleep deeply now.
And it's so easy to relax knowing that this healing,
Melting and dissolving of all that holds you back will continue throughout your sleep.
And as you feel this warm flow through your body,
Your muscles relax even more.
Your mind feels light and clear.
Your eyelids feel heavy.
And all the sounds around you continue to relax you even deeper.
The beating of your heart,
The rhythm of your breath.
And the deep,
Deep peace in your heart.
Your mind is free to dream and drift.
Feeling even more.
With each deep exhalation,
So easy to sleep now.
As my voice just drifts off,
Continuing to calm and relax.
As your body continues to melt and release.
