Transcript

Welcome.

Now is the time to allow your body to find the most comfortable position to relax in.

So take a moment to stretch.

And take a few deep breaths.

Just allowing your body to settle comfortably.

Allowing your head to find a comfortable position in the pillow.

Relaxing your neck and shoulders.

And just becoming aware of the position of your spine in bed.

And just take three really deep breaths.

Breathing in through your mouth.

And exhaling.

Feeling that sensation of relaxation.

As your lungs completely expand.

And then release.

With each deep in breath.

Becoming aware of the muscles moving in your chest.

Allowing that expansion.

And using your diaphragm to completely exhale all the air.

And I wonder if you can begin to extend the out breath just by a few seconds.

Allowing it to be just a little longer than the in breath.

And as you extend that exhalation.

It's a signal to your body that it's safe to relax now.

Becoming aware of the passage of air in through your nose.

Noticing the temperature as you breathe in.

Noticing any sensations in your nose.

Becoming aware of the other muscles in your face.

Relaxing the muscles across your brow.

In your eyes.

In your cheeks.

Relaxing your tongue.

And all the muscles around your jaw.

And with each exhalation.

Just allow yourself to think.

That you're safe now.

And then with the next few exhalations.

Allow yourself to think.

This is my time to relax deeply.

And as you relax deeply.

Become aware of your position again in the bed.

Allowing all the muscles in your neck and shoulders to relax even more.

Feeling the weight of any covers on your body.

And just allowing your body to sink down even deeper.

Becoming aware of all the muscles in your hips.

And allowing that sense of relaxation to flow down through your hips.

Down through your legs and knees.

Through your ankles.

And out through your feet.

And then scan your body from the neck down to your feet.

Just becoming aware of where there may be tension.

Pain.

Or any emotional issues that have been troubling you.

Scanning the chest and heart.

Down through all the organs in your abdomen.

Scanning down through the pelvis.

And relaxing and releasing any tension there.

The next deep out breath.

You might even be able to imagine sending a warm wave of relaxation.

From the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your toes.

You may see it as a color.

Or feel it as a warm wave.

There might even be your favorite smell associated with it.

And as you allow your body to relax even deeper.

Feeling the comfort and the support around you.

I wonder if you could imagine what it might be like to be standing on the shore of a beautiful blue lake.

Beneath a clear blue sky.

On a perfect spring day.

Feeling the warmth of the sun on your face and shoulders.

You can hear the sound of birds in the background.

Feel a gentle breeze on your face.

And the sun on the water is sparkling and glistening.

Welcoming you closer.

There's an inflatable map lying at your water's edge.

It's the perfect size for you.

And you lie down on it.

Feeling its softness and support beneath you.

And you wonder what it might be like to float gently in that flat calm lake.

And with a little bit of delight.

It's easy just to push yourself off gently.

So you're floating,

Clear as the blue water.

And as you begin to drift beneath that clear blue sky.

Surrounded by clear blue water beneath.

The sun on your face.

And the breeze on your hair.

It's easy to close your eyes.

Gently trailing your hand in the water.

Feeling the cool water beneath your hand.

And as you float,

You wonder what it might be like.

To leave behind all the people and problems that have been bothering you in the past.

Perhaps bothering you today.

Floating and drifting,

Drifting in a lake of peace and tranquility.

It's easy to let those thoughts go.

The further you drift out.

Leaving behind all worries for the future.

Leaving behind all problems from the past.

And allowing your mind to let go of any current issues as you drift and float.

And as you float,

You wonder what it might be like to allow your body to drift even higher.

Allow your mind to float even higher.

And soar and rise into that beautiful blue sky.

And as you drift and float.

It's easy to leave behind all physical sensations.

All you feel now is a sense of peace in your heart and clarity in your mind.

And the higher you float,

The more peaceful you feel.

It's easy to see your body far below,

Lying completely supported.

Drifting in a lake of peace and tranquility.

And far,

Far back on the shore are all the things that you've left behind as you allow your body to completely and deeply relax.

And in the background you can hear the steady beat of your heart.

The rhythmic rise and fall of your chest.

Allowing you to float even higher.

Soar even further.

And as you float and glide above this beautiful blue lake,

Far,

Far below you see a small island.

It's the island of possibilities.

And as you focus on it,

It's easy to see that all the solutions to your current problems are there,

Ready to be discovered.

And with your mind,

You direct your body that's floating far below,

Towards that island.

Allowing it to discover all it needs to know as you continue to drift and float higher and higher.

And the more you relax your heart and mind,

The higher and easier it is to float.

And as you float,

You allow a deep,

Deep healing to occur far,

Far below.

As your body journeys to that island of possibilities,

A deep healing is taking place.

The warmth of the sun,

The blue of the sky,

And a deep,

Deep peace of tranquility is permeating all through your body.

Flowing to each and every cell,

Bringing a sense of peace,

Bringing a sense of joy,

Bringing a sense of creativity,

And deep healing.

And as your mind continues to float and drift on the gentlest of breezes,

It's easy to imagine what it might be like to soar even higher.

And as you become aware of the view below,

You're aware that you're now high,

High,

High,

Moving higher up into the atmosphere.

And with this higher perspective comes an even greater understanding of how easy it is to relax in this safe space.

Of how many opportunities you have in your life.

And how many things you can be grateful for in this very moment.

And as you continue to float and drift,

Soothed by the sounds of the lake of tranquility far below,

Knowing that your body is healing,

Transforming,

That your mind is expanding,

And your heart is opening.

And you can continue to drift and dream,

Float and soar,

Until it's the perfect time to reawaken.

And as you continue to float and dream,

Your body's deep healing will continue.

You'll awaken at the right time,

Feeling completely refreshed,

Aware of all the new possibilities that you have access to.

Feeling confident and supported.

Feeling free in your heart,

Relaxed in your mind.

And able to return to the shore,

Feeling renewed.

And it's so easy to completely and deeply relax,

As you drift and float and dream when the gentlest of breezes.

Allowing your thoughts to simply float away.

And as you continue to drift and dream,

Soothed by the sounds of the lake of tranquility far below,

Knowing that your body is healing,

Transforming,

That your mind is expanding,

And your heart is opening.

And as you continue to float and dream,

Soothed by the sounds of the lake of tranquility far below,
