Tranquility by the Sea,
A sunset meditation for calm and clarity.
Wherever you are right now,
Settle into yourself and take a few deep breaths through your nose.
Breathing in and exhaling through your mouth.
Taking your time.
Bringing yourself to the present moment.
Being in the space where you are.
Allowing what's happened earlier today to stay in the past and allowing any thoughts of future activities,
To-do lists to dissolve away and come back to your breath.
Go ahead and close your eyes if you're comfortable doing that,
Or you can look at the floor gently,
Eyes open soft.
Imagine yourself standing at the beach at sunset.
As you open your eyes and look around,
You notice the warm and golden sun is slowly dipping below the horizon.
You feel the warmth in the air on your skin.
You hear the sounds of the seagulls.
The colors of the sky are breathtaking with hues of pink,
Purple,
And orange stretching across the vast sky.
The sun is casting a warm and comforting glow across the ocean waves,
Making them look gold.
The sand is warm and soft beneath your feet.
You take a deep breath in,
Feeling the salty sea and air fill your lungs,
And exhale.
You listen to the sounds of the waves crashing against the shore and the seagulls calling out to each other as they fly overhead.
You start to walk,
Feeling the sand beneath your toes,
The warmth of the sun on your skin,
Breathing in the salty sea air,
Feeling the breeze through your hair and on your face.
As you walk closer to the water,
Feel the coolness of the water rushing up to shore and against your feet.
You take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the scene before you,
Keeping your eyes on the beautiful sky,
Feeling the tranquility within.
As you continue walking,
You take in the sights and sounds around you.
You notice shells,
Seaweed that has washed up on the shore.
You see the ripples and patterns on the sand.
You see some old sandcastles that are slowly getting washed away.
You see the birds flying overhead.
You take another deep breath in and out,
Feeling more and more relaxed with each step.
As the sun slowly gets lower and lower,
The sky takes an even more beautiful shade of orange and pink.
You take a moment to pause,
Feeling the calmness and the clarity of really being present in this moment,
Feeling connected to all things as you watch the sunset.
You feel a sense of peace just wash over you.
As the sun slowly disappears below the horizon,
You feel grateful for this moment of tranquility.
You take another deep breath,
Breathing in and out.
And when you're ready,
Slowly walking back to where you started on this beach,
Slowly finding yourself in your room,
In the space you are within,
Feeling refreshed and recharged.
Take this feeling of peace and calm with you the rest of your day.
