Hello and welcome.
This is the grounding body scan with color awareness.
Take a moment,
Find yourself a comfortable seat with your feet on the floor,
Spine straight,
Shoulders soft.
You are welcome to close your eyes.
Or look at the ground in front of you with soft eyes.
Take a moment just to settle in.
Allowing yourself to be fully present,
Arriving here in the space.
Take a moment just to notice your breath.
Notice in your chest.
Or belly.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath.
I invite you to take a deeper breath in through the nose,
Inhale.
Filling up the lungs.
And then long exhale through the nose,
Letting it out.
Inhale.
Breathing in.
.
.
Pause,
And then breathing out.
Yes.
One more time,
Inhale.
Pause.
And exhale.
Good.
Let it out.
Let your breath go back to its natural rhythm and pace.
Bring your awareness to the chair beneath you.
Feel it holding you,
Supporting you.
Know that the earth is beneath us also.
Holding.
And supporting you.
Bring your awareness to your feet.
You may want to bring a small wiggle to both toes.
Bringing awareness as you move the toes.
Notice the right foot.
Notice the heel.
An arch of the foot.
Notice the ball of that foot?
And all the toes.
What sensations are there?
I invite you to notice a color in the right foot.
Maybe it's a darker color.
Or a lighter one.
Or it could be just a sense of a color.
There's no right way to experience color in our body.
Just notice what's present for you.
And then the left foot.
Bring awareness to the heel.
The arch of the foot.
The ball of the foot.
The toes.
Check in with a color or tone.
Color in the left foot.
Is it different?
Than the right.
We're the same.
Is it smooth?
Are rough edges.
.
.
Is there a shape to it?
Or just checking in,
Seeing what's there.
And your mind noticed both of them together.
If it feels supportive.
You can imagine the image of the colors in both feet.
Softening.
Becoming more spacious.
With each wrap.
Come back to the right foot.
Notice the right ankle The right calve.
Great knees.
The right thigh.
What color comes to mind with the right leg?
Or is there no color at all?
It could be white,
A lighter color.
Or maybe it's darker for you.
Get the impression of what color is there.
And again,
If it feels supportive.
Bring the intention of softness with the color.
Maybe blurring along the edges.
You're also welcome to breathe into that leg.
Take a breath in.
And exhale,
Bringing spaciousness to the right leg.
Let's try it with the left leg.
Left calf.
Left knee noticing.
What is there?
Left thigh.
What color?
Our sense of a color is in the left leg.
Is it the same?
Are certain parts dark?
Or other parts light.
Now compare the left to the right.
And see what you notice.
Is there any shifts as you compare?
Notice,
Bringing awareness,
Does that shift the color at all?
Bring awareness to the right hip.
Check in with any sensation of tightness or pain.
Heaviness or lightness.
What color is there?
Is it different from the other ones?
Is it heavy?
Is it light?
Is it a dark color?
Move to your left hip.
Notice heaviness,
Lightness,
Or something else.
And compare both together.
And if it feels supportive again,
You can imagine the color softening.
Maybe softening with each breath.
Softening in the right hip.
Softening in the left hip.
Bring awareness to the lower abdomen.
The belly.
Belly button area.
Rising up to the chest.
And the lower back.
The Mid-Back.
The upper back.
What sensations are there?
Is there pain?
Tension.
Something else.
Notice the right side of the body.
Then they'll laugh.
What color is in the whole torso?
From the belly all the way to the chest.
Or is there a color?
Notice the mood of it.
The tone.
Is it dark?
Is it bright?
Is it soft?
Or is there a sense of different colors in different parts?
Maybe a different color on your right side?
A different one on the back.
Just sit for a moment with those colors or color.
Allow it to be present.
And if you'd like,
Inhale.
Breathe into the torso,
Bringing softness and exhale,
Releasing heaviness.
Come to the right shoulder.
Notice heaviness or discomfort.
Or if there's no sensation.
Bring awareness to the left shoulder.
Is our heaviness,
Tightness.
Or something else.
Bring awareness to the right upper arm.
The elbow.
Right forearm.
The rest.
Palm of the hands.
The fingers.
What color comes to mind?
As you bring awareness to the shoulder all the way to the right fingertips.
Is there one color or more?
Quality to it.
Is it moving?
Or still.
Bring awareness to the left shoulder.
Left upper arm.
Left elbow.
Left forearm.
Left wrist.
Left palm of hand.
Left fingers.
What is the color for this side?
From the shoulder on the left side all the way to the fingertips.
Compare it to the right.
Is it different?
Are the same.
Notice both together.
Moving up to the neck.
.
.
To the throat.
To the right side of the neck.
To the left side of the neck.
To the back of the neck.
What color comes to mind for the next?
And think of the job of the neck to hold up your head.
The support it must give.
Is it different from other parts of the body?
Is there a lightness?
A heaviness?
An overall mood or tone to this color in the neck.
Or is there no color?
And just remember,
Color might show up as something you see in your mind.
Or just a sense in the body,
A felt sense.
And moving up to the head.
Back of the head.
Sides of the head.
Scan for any tension.
Or pain.
Fogginess inside.
Top of the head.
Coming to the face,
The forehead.
The eyes.
Left jaw.
Right job.
Nose.
Mouth.
Engine.
What color comes to mind?
When you think of the right side of the head.
Versus the left.
Or is it a felt sense?
Or do you notice more of the color inside your head?
Rather than outside.
Take a moment just to notice your body as a whole.
Is there an emotion floating through?
Is there energy?
Maybe it's subtle.
Just allow whatever is there.
To be present.
To fully be here.
And come back one last time to the feet.
Grounding in.
Rooting.
Grounding.
Being fully.
Arrived here.
Bring yourself back if your eyes are closed.
Gently blink your eyes open.
Take a look around the space you're in.
Coming back.
Back to your room.
Back to yourself.
Take just a moment.
Before we close to check in.
Noticing your overall energy.
Are you tired?
Or more energized.
More awake?
Check in with your thoughts.
Are they racing?
Is there rumination?
Or are your thoughts more settled?
Check in with a motion.
What's coming up now?
Is it more than one emotion?
Just allow what's ever there to be present.
Thank you for joining me today.
I hope this was helpful for you.
Remember,
You can always come back to this meditation as you need it.
