When we land somewhere new,

When we arrive at a new space,

Energetically or physically,

One of the most beautiful practices that we can do is to connect to the spirit of the land or the place we are in,

And connecting to those who walked this earth before we did.

And as you follow your breath in and out,

Take a moment to reflect on all those beautiful souls that step foot in this place,

Who brought their own rituals and traditions,

Their own energy and light.

This practice brings in mantra.

And the mantra and mind tool will support you in breaking the chain of chatter within the mind.

Our mantra today is connecting deeply with our muladhara chakra,

The root chakra,

Our earth point,

To help you ground yourself deeply into this space,

Cultivating feelings of safety,

Stability and belonging.

So in a moment when you begin your mantra,

Visualize the nature around you and allow it to support you in strengthening your connection to the earth and finding your roots.

Take a few breaths,

Expanding into the lungs.

And just for now,

Let go of the outside world and enter this moment of stillness.

Bringing your awareness to the base of your spine,

Visualizing the energy centers of vibrant red sphere of light.

Visualize your own roots,

Strong roots growing from the base of your spine and extending down into the earth,

Inviting a deep network of stability and foundations beneath you.

Imagine those roots traveling down through the rocks and the water and the minerals that lie beneath.

And with each breath,

Feel yourself becoming more anchored,

More connected to the space you are in,

As if your body is one with the soil and the trees and the land around you.

Begin repeating the mantra internally now for our root chakra,

Which is LAM,

L-A-M,

LAM.

With every breath,

You inhale LAM and you exhale LAM.

The vibration of your mantra activates,

Heals and balances the root.

And with every chant,

Feeling more grounded and more stable and present.

Inhale LAM,

Exhale LAM.

And you will get pulled away from the mantra and sounds and external distractions may disrupt the flow of the mantra.

And whenever you realize that the mantra has stopped,

Take a breath and a smile and begin again.

With every repetition of LAM,

Imagine the earth's energy rising up through your roots and filling your body.

Let the vibration of the mantra carry the feeling of being firmly grounded,

Just as the trees stand firm in the forest.

Visualize nature in its full beauty.

Picture yourself standing in a forest,

Surrounded by ancient trees.

The rich soil and soft earth beneath your feet and the roots of the trees tangled into the earth,

Interwoven into the earth's energy.

Feel the tree's wisdom and strength radiating through your body.

Inhaling LAM,

Exhaling LAM.

With each and every breath,

Visualize the energy rising up through your roots,

Entering your body and flowing up all the way up through your spine and radiating throughout your entire being.

Feel earth,

Feel Pachamama supporting you and offering you stability and nourishment and safety.

Inhaling LAM,

Exhaling LAM.

Connecting now to the elements of nature,

The earth,

The water,

The fire and the air.

Feel that strong,

Rich earth energy beneath you,

The fresh air in your lungs.

Imagine the gentle flow of a stream and the warm sunlight on your skin.

And with each element,

Take a moment to connect to its energy and what you need from it.

What do you need from the earth right now?

Feel support,

Strength,

Stillness,

Nourishment.

What do you need from the water energy this morning?

Cleansing,

Movement,

Stillness.

What do you need from the fire energy?

Vitality,

Energy,

Life,

Transformation.

And the air,

The expansiveness,

The openness and the freedom of air.

To be weightless,

To be free,

To be unbound.

Inhale LAM,

Exhale LAM.

Inhale LAM,

Exhale LAM.

The mantra,

The vibration of LAM allowing you to completely merge with the essence of nature.

For you are made of the same as the trees,

As the plants,

As the flowers,

As the water,

As the sunlight.

We're all made of the same.

Feel yourself becoming the trees,

Becoming the water,

Becoming the light.

And feel yourself deeply nourished by earth's abundant resources,

Never ending consistent flow of love and support.

Inhale LAM,

Exhale LAM.

Allow these following affirmations to resonate with you in any way that they need to now.

I am one with the earth.

I am one with the earth.

I am rooted,

Stable and secure.

I am rooted,

Stable and secure.

Nature nourishes and supports me.

Nature nourishes and supports me.

And just as nature does,

I trust in the flow and cycles of life.

And just as nature does,

I trust in the flow and cycles of life.

For these last few moments,

Inhale LAM,

Exhale LAM.

Slowly reducing the sound of the mantra in your mind.

And with every chant,

It becomes quieter and quieter and quieter.

Until you come to a point of silence within your mind,

Absorbing the stillness and the sense of deep rooted connection.

Inhale deeply,

Exhale completely.

And take a moment to silently thank the earth and nature,

A moment of gratitude for providing this stability and grounding.

Acknowledge your connection to earth and how you are made of the same.

A deep sense of gratitude for the natural world.

Deep inhalation,

Slow smooth exhalations.

Feel the weight of your body and the shape that it is making.

Become aware of the edges of your body and where your body ends and the outside world begins.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Exhale.

One more chant of LAM internally,

As loud or as quiet as you wish.

Namaste.

Perfect for connecting to the earthly mother, and at the same time challenging in order to keep the wide spectrum of overlapping concepts mentally organized.
