Welcome to this guided meditation for connecting with the pranamaya kosha,
The sheath of prana or vital energy.
This kosha is the bridge between the physical body and the mind,
The mental emotional self.
Pranamaya kosha fuels our intentions,
Empowers our thoughts,
And helps us release energy held deep within the unconscious.
Taking a second to allow the body to become even the smallest amount more comfortable,
More at ease.
Whether you're seated or lying down,
You can soften the gaze or gently close the eyes,
Allowing the breath to flow naturally without effort or force.
Begin sensing your physical body,
Your pranamaya kosha,
The sheath,
The layer of flesh and bone.
Feel your body as it rests against the ground,
Supported by gravity,
Anchored to the earth.
Feel the rhythm of your breath,
Subtle but constant.
With each inhale,
Welcome spaciousness and ease into the body.
With each exhale,
Release any tension or effort.
Inhaling spaciousness and ease.
Exhaling tension or effort.
With your full awareness on the breath,
On prana,
The life force moving through you,
Begin to witness the breath.
Where are you sending the breath?
Maybe to the belly,
Or the ribs,
Or the lungs.
What is the depth of your breath?
What is the quality of your breath?
How smooth is the breath?
How much effort or ease?
With each breath,
Feeling cool air entering through the nostrils and warm air leaving.
Feel the breath as it moves into the nostrils,
The throat,
The chest,
The ribs,
The belly,
And then out again.
A soft,
Natural wave.
Feeling the breath as a soft,
Natural wave.
Now begin to feel the breath as a bridge,
A connection between your body and your mind.
A bridge between your outer world and your inner world.
A bridge between the unconscious and the conscious.
Now bring your awareness to the energy within the breath.
The prana itself.
With each inhale,
Imagine this pranic energy awakening the cells of your body.
With each exhale,
Imagine this pranic energy clearing any stagnant,
Heavy,
Or stuck energy.
Inhaling,
Awakening.
Exhaling,
Clearing.
Inhaling,
Awakening.
Exhaling,
Clearing.
Visualize the breath as a light,
Filling your whole being with calm clarity.
Feel how prana fuels your intentions,
Giving them life.
Respiration as inspiration.
Prana fueling action.
Change.
Manifestation.
Now there is an invitation to call upon an intention or an inner truth.
Something you seek to embody.
Express.
Or become.
Letting it arise naturally from within.
Could be a word,
A phrase,
Or a feeling.
And if nothing is arising,
That is perfectly okay.
Perhaps you have the intention of one of the following.
I am clear.
I am vital.
I allow energy to flow.
I move with purpose and ease.
Breathe into your intention.
Let it settle in your heart.
And let prana move into it,
Fueling it,
Amplifying it.
Now gently bring your awareness to the emotional or energetic spaces within you.
Notice if there are any places of tension,
Holding,
Contracting.
This could be physical or emotional.
Not forcing anything,
Simply noticing.
And with your breath,
Inviting these spaces to soften.
Inhaling awareness and spaciousness.
Exhaling,
Softening,
Releasing,
Letting go.
Imagine vital energy being freed from places where it's been held.
Old emotions.
Past experiences.
Limiting beliefs.
Let them melt into the breath.
Let the exhale carry them out.
Reclaiming your prana,
Your life force energy.
Rebuilding the bridge between the physical and the mental,
The mind,
And the body.
The inner world,
The outer world.
The conscious,
The unconscious,
And the mind.
Letting go of your awareness.
Resting in the spaciousness of your energy body.
Feel the breath moving freely.
Feel the clarity and openness of the bridge between body and mind.
Between past and present.
Know that you are held by your breath.
Empowered by your breath.
And you carry this connection into your life.
Grounded,
Intentional,
Inspired.
Take a deep breath in and a full breath out.
And gently bringing your awareness back to the space around you.
Bringing some movement to the fingers,
To the toes,
Ankles,
Wrists.
When you are ready,
You can softly open your eyes.
