How do you do meditation when you're feeling extremely overwhelmed or too busy or tired or exhausted?
Yeah,
That's like a really,
Really tough one.
On those days where you're feeling not at your best state,
Meditation is a hard place to drop into.
It's kind of the reason why I created micro-meditations,
Because I feel like they're more accessible for us to hit in those moments of overwhelm,
Busyness,
And all the things.
Also,
Just being real about it and trying to meet those emotions.
And even if you can't get through the whole meditation,
Just putting that effort in,
It does count.
And those micro moments and those micro meditations,
They do matter.
I think it's really important to work through.
Those moments when you're feeling overwhelmed to actually try to go into the emotion and to feel that meditation and to try to create some space around it.
Not to perfect it,
Not to bypass it,
Just to meet it and to try to reframe it.
And it's hard.
It's kind of like the analogy I use when I teach my students is going to the gym and lifting really,
Really heavy weights.
It's not necessarily an easy thing,
But the results and the payoff is there.
So when you meet yourself on those days,
When you're feeling tired,
When you didn't get sleep,
When your deadlines are too much,
I think are wildly important.
And I encourage you to keep trying and keep doing that.
I have a whole playlist.
You can use mine.
You can use anyone's I met for when you're feeling overwhelmed.
When you're feeling at capacity,
When you need to ground and just learning to listen to what works for you on those days is wildly important as well.
So good luck.
I hope it works and let me know.
