I will not push,
Fight for space,
Be loud just for you to hear me.
Where do we listen,
Or do we respond,
React,
Need to be known to validate that we belong?
I am not a landing pad for you to feel whole,
To receive my frequency I nourished in silence forgetting the nonsense,
Working on me like a full-time job.
For people to come along,
Benefit from the time I stood on my own,
Standing alone,
Saying no to what drains me,
To then give more until it depletes my energy that just wishes to be free,
Breathe,
Be.
People come along and want to be seen,
Heard,
And held.
But when do we ask,
What can I give,
Not take,
Not get from another's grace?
If we all learn to stand in our own essence,
The imbalance wouldn't create a giant mess.
Where givers isolate,
Spend time in nature with animals and meditate,
Because they can just be,
Without holding space and receive from that which asks of nothing.
My circle is small,
I have built walls,
Not for protection,
But for my discernment,
To open or close depending on how my feelings are shown,
My intuition speaking in knowings.
And I trust the unseen more than what is being showed in front of me.
So if you are loud,
Proud,
Want to be one of the crowd,
I will retreat,
Meet myself in the mirror and protect my peace like a silent warrior.
Not begging for more,
But abundance in every cell,
Pour love into myself so it can ripple out and fall into the dirt,
Earth,
Supporting my rebirth.
I am now many things,
But something to everyone is not one of them.
I am meant to be free,
Unburdened by those around me,
But uplifting myself and surrounded by the same frequency,
And so it be.
