Also,
Meditation was something I never thought I would ever do.
It was something that I couldn't sit still for 30 seconds.
I was that person.
And when people say that their mind's too busy to meditate,
I just say,
I love the analogy that's like saying,
You're too dirty to take a shower,
Right?
It's like,
This is what will help that,
But it's a practice.
Welcome to M.
Annette Appeared podcast.
I'm your host,
Chelsea Benzell,
Business coach for Spiritual Online Entrepreneurs.
In this podcast,
You're going to hear stories of badass women just like you taking big leaps of faith in the net appearing.
Enjoy.
Hi,
Christine,
How are you?
I'm fantastic.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for being here with me.
I am just so excited to showcase you and your story and your light.
We were just talking for a few moments before we hit record and I'm just like feeling the power of the deep belief in leaping and trusting that the net always appears,
But we have to believe that it's going to.
Yes,
Absolutely.
So before we dive in,
Maybe I would love to hear about where you are now and what you're up to in the world,
Who you are.
Tell us a bit about you.
Okay.
Yeah.
Let's start with what I'm up to now,
Then we'll go back to how I got there.
So I run a company called Inner Glow Getter and it's really helping people.
I focus predominantly on food,
Which will explain why,
But I help people eat healthier.
I help people,
Mainly driven women who are maybe feeling overwhelmed or not eating as healthy as they want to,
And they're starting to feel overwhelmed or that kind of losing their energy and vitality.
And I use a lot of methods,
Including obviously food is the sort of my forefront of teaching people how to consume more plant-based foods,
More high vibrational foods so that they can really start to get their energy back,
Their vitality back,
And also a lot to do with their sort of mental health as well.
I think that there's a lot of depressive symptoms that are sort of these underlying things going on for a lot of women and it's sort of this hidden shame that a lot of women don't want to share and we just help them work through that.
That's kind of where the Inner Glow piece comes into play is helping them work through some of the inner blocks that they have towards even living a healthier lifestyle and then what comes from a healthier lifestyle is all the magic afterwards.
I love that because it is so all interconnected,
Isn't it?
Yeah.
So I have an online cooking school that's called Inner Glow Cooking School and so you can take it remotely and we coach remotely from your own kitchen.
And then I host retreats,
I host retreats all over Alberta,
BC,
And back in Indonesia as well.
Cool.
Yeah,
We initially met in Bali and I just,
I love how full circle this has come.
Yes.
And just like we'll talk about big miracles that you've experienced,
But even just like the synchronicities that happen on a daily basis when you are tapped into that flow.
Like we had been,
A mutual friend had been trying to connect us for a whole year,
I think,
That I lived there because you'd already been there.
And then at the university,
Just like,
Here you go.
I know.
And then setting up this interview with you,
It's all just kind of,
It's that magic and it's that flow.
And yeah,
And it's funny because you know,
Some people,
Some of my friends will say like,
You know,
Do your friends believe in this or this sort of magic or whatever?
And I say some,
I'm like,
No,
Some don't.
And she's always like,
Have they spent 24 hours with you yet?
Because this is literally,
Once you've tapped into it,
It's literally,
It can be your daily life.
It's literally so magical.
So I can't wait to share those tools with people,
Especially those people that are like,
You know,
Where I was,
Which is,
You know,
Kind of taking this leap from the known to the unknown and what that,
What magic unfolds.
And also the,
The kind of the suffering that can unfold too with that and how to overcome that because it's,
It's kind of a continuous process too of some cycles that it's not just magic and bliss,
Right?
But it can feel,
You can still perceive it as all of that,
You know,
No matter what you go through.
Even the lows is the magic.
Yeah.
And the opportunity to work through that next layer to get to even more magic.
And it is,
It's all about that perspective.
Yes.
So we know where you're,
What you're up to now,
Which is amazing,
By the way.
Let's rewind and like,
Tell me about where it all started for you.
What was kind of the first step for you to step into this world of magic and miracles and trusting the universe?
Wow.
Honestly,
Like,
It's almost funny to me because who I was,
You know,
18,
It's crazy to say 18 years ago,
I'm like,
I'm old,
That how different I was and how close minded I was.
I think I,
I went,
You know,
I grew up in Alberta,
Canada,
Oil field country,
Wanted to become a mechanical engineer,
Very classic,
Like get the good job and,
And have a great life story.
And I think that's what a lot of people are going through is like they're,
They're realizing as they,
As they go through their,
You know,
What they should do,
That it's like deeply unfulfilling or there's something more and there's like this,
I think people are becoming more seekers.
Right.
And so I actually,
You know,
I,
I say to people too,
Like I didn't,
I didn't plan this life.
That was for sure.
But that's why I love it because it is such a message and understanding that the universe really does have a better plan than you could ever have dreamed of for yourself.
But it's like this real skill is learning how to continuously allow and let go and trust versus figure out,
Plan and do.
It's that's the weird balance.
And for me as an engineer,
It was like,
It's still to this day is a hard thing for me to grasp because I'm like,
Wow,
When I just like let go and go have fun,
All this things,
Magic happens to me,
Like what is going on?
I thought this was supposed to be hard and work and dah,
Dah,
Dah,
Because that's what I did.
I worked really hard.
I busted my butt and got through engineering.
I have a P engine,
Mechanical engineering.
So I,
That was eight years of my life.
I worked in coal mines as a maintenance engineer.
I was full on,
You know,
I drank beer on the weekends with the guys and I worked in a mine and I was miserable.
I was miserable within about a month and a half.
I felt very like started to get depleted and with,
You know,
Within a very short time I actually struggled with depression.
And for anybody who's struggling with depression,
I promise you like,
All I want to say is that is your greatest gift.
Just hang in there because there's such magic on the other side of depression that I can't even,
I think,
You know,
They say that the hardest times in your life will be your greatest blessings and in the moment you're like,
This is not a blessing.
I literally thought my life was over at like 23.
I thought,
You know,
Everything was falling apart.
I couldn't function.
I couldn't get out of bed in the morning.
I couldn't go to work.
I forced myself to go to work obviously and it was like depleting,
Depleting and I ended up getting,
I ended up getting taken off on stress leave and I was fortunate enough to see a nutritional consultant and a counselor who wanted me to do breathing exercises.
I thought,
This is ridiculous.
And now that's all I share with people is like breath work,
All of these things that actually open you up to the universe,
To so much more than you could ever imagine.
And so I saw a nutritional consultant that told me that I was supposed to cut out sugar,
Cut out alcohol,
Cut out all of these foods that actually are detrimental to your mental health.
So I'm sitting there being depressed and I'm like,
Oh yeah,
I pretty much live off of caffeine,
Sugar,
Bread,
Wheat,
Like sandwiches,
Like subway sandwiches or whatever they bring up to the minds,
Like a lot of sandwiches and donuts.
So it's no wonder like this whole ecosystem of like not being passionate about my job,
Not nourishing myself and almost going into more self sabotaging behaviors on the weekends,
Like binge drinking,
All that kind of stuff.
So I ended up at a rejuvenation center and I was fortunate enough to have a boyfriend at the time that knew this stuff.
He just looked at me and was like,
You're amazing.
You just need to like clear the crap and live your life.
He had done a 30 day juice fast.
Like he is all into this like nutrition stuff that I was like,
This is crazy.
I literally thought it was crazy,
But I knew I needed to change my diet.
So I went to a rejuvenation center for 90 days and that was what I call my awakening.
I just went there to kind of get undepressed and healthy.
I thought I just need to,
But what I didn't realize is that depression,
And I have a really great video on YouTube about this actually called how to become a magnet to miracles.
We'll share that in the notes too because I think it's a really great video.
But depression to me is a suppression of source.
So when you think about spirituality or that the universe is all loving and all abundant and all providing and if you don't,
That's where faith comes in.
That's why people follow religion because they want that thing to believe in that's greater than themselves and it's real.
Even I think some people who are religious,
I'm like,
Do you really believe this or do you want to believe this because it is real.
But I don't think people have experienced enough of those miracles to really not to move from believing it to knowing it.
And what happened to me in that center for 90 days was I had no,
The things that block this connection to source,
Which to me is television,
Electronics,
Just all the distractions in our day to day life.
And when you take that all away and you take away the food too,
Even like you start actually nourishing your body with food grown from the earth,
Not these sugary processed foods,
That is all a block of source.
And it was in these books,
So I trained with Dr.
Gabriel Cousins who wrote a book called Depression Free for Life.
He wrote a book called Conscious Eating.
He wrote a book called There is a Cure for Diabetes and he wrote a book called Spiritual Nutrition and he's written other books.
And the spiritual nutrition one really resonated with me too as we're reading it and experiencing it,
We're meditating three times a day and you start to realize that also meditation was something I never thought I would ever do.
It was something that I couldn't sit still for 30 seconds.
I was that person.
And when people say that their mind's too busy to meditate,
I just say,
I love the analogy that's like saying you're too dirty to take a shower,
Right?
It's like this is what will help that,
But it's a practice.
So I think this experience for me was the food.
I worked in the kitchen,
So I got a Living Foods instructor certification.
So I was in the kitchen every day making this food,
Hands on with the food and the preparing of the food was also a creative outlet,
Which is also a way to connect to source.
People who paint,
People who play music,
People who do those creative outlets,
They understand that.
They say that music is coming from somewhere else.
It's like that's that connection to source.
So for me it was food and I never had that before because I didn't make my own food.
I was a person that put chicken nuggets in the oven.
Where's the chicken nuggets in the oven?
That was my culinary abilities at the time.
And it was an awakening.
It was an absolute awakening because all of a sudden you go from this depressed,
Drained mental fog,
Don't know what to do with my life,
Like I didn't want to be an engineer anymore.
I just graduated.
I was still like lost.
And I go from that to feeling this surge of bliss,
Of joy,
Of true faith,
Trust,
Knowing like this like tears shedding awakening of like,
Oh my gosh,
God exists.
It was that was that was to me that like,
Oh my God,
Oh my God.
And it came through that experience of an experiential thing,
Which was the food,
The nature,
The creativity,
The meditation.
And that has become my life's mission now through Inner Glow Getter is to share with people that everything you want in the world is right inside of you and it is like bursting to come out of you.
But a lot of people don't know how.
And I think like you were sharing too how your mission is to share this how and that's similar with myself as well.
It's like those experiential,
For me,
It's through food,
Through fasting.
You know,
Jesus fasted for 30 days to connect to Source because it's so real.
Like go fast in the trees for 30 days and tell me you don't connect.
And you know,
It's hard to explain in words.
And so I love to guide people through these experiences that they can have that own experience too.
They're not just watching me go through this.
They get to go through it.
And so yeah,
So I had that awakening when I was 23.
Fast forward to 29.
I actually went back.
I was kind of kerfuffled when I came back to Canada because I thought this was in Patagonia in the States.
And I was like kind of like a fish out of water.
Like how do I be in the world now?
Right?
How do you go back to everybody's like,
Let's go for beer and wings.
And you're like,
I just want to meditate to the sunrise and wear hemp clothes.
I was like,
Right in like,
I didn't even want to wear clothes anymore.
I just wanted to connect and go dive in the rivers,
Connect to the planet and hug trees.
And I didn't know how I could be anymore because I used to mock people like that.
I used to judge a friend that was vegetarian.
I thought she was so weird.
And now I'm sitting there having all these conversations about like even the idea of putting like animal carcass in your body and how that's also part of that block.
So you,
Nobody who,
People who are,
I'm not saying that people can't be spiritual if they eat meat,
But that's why it's written in all these yogi texts and stuff,
Vegetarian diets,
Because you get that connection.
And I didn't get it until I got it,
You know,
And it's really,
Yeah,
It's been my life's challenge in a way to kind of explain that and inspire people to want to experience that.
And I think that there are more and more people are awakening to want to experience that.
So I get really excited.
That's why I'm so excited to be here.
I'm like,
Somebody wants to hear my story.
Great.
Cause a lot of people look at me like I'm a little crazy.
And I was able to take the leap from engineering at 29.
I still kind of wanted to go back to this world.
And I was sitting there in my office,
I spent more time like coming into the office and I would look up recipes and I just,
All I wanted to,
All I could think about was food and like inspiring the world.
And I'm sitting there drafting duct work for commercial buildings is what I moved into architecture.
And I'm like,
This just doesn't do it for me.
This isn't my,
This isn't my purpose.
And you know,
Most people struggle to find their purpose and I,
My purpose found me and my purpose found me because I did that work.
And so people who are also lost in what to do,
It's like,
You don't have to know what,
You just have to do the inner work that will get you to the knowing what,
To where it will flood into you so hard that you can't even deny it.
Like you said,
Like there's no,
It's like,
I can't not do this.
Right.
So it took me six months from the time I'd wanted to go,
You know,
At the,
From the tree of life I had read another book.
I studied nutrition and I read another book by Dr.
Ann Marie Colbin who had founded a culinary school in New York City called the Natural Gourmet Institute and it was food and healing and it just was everything I had embodied the tree of life.
But I,
The tree of life was all raw.
It was raw plant based,
Which is very extreme for most people,
Including myself.
I'm back in Canada.
I'm like,
I'm not going to have a raw kale salad when it's minus 40 degrees.
So I wanted to learn and then how to cook.
And there's like macrobiotics and Ayurveda and all these things that they teach at the school.
And I was just like,
And somebody said to me,
A really close friend of mine at the time asked me one,
One day we went out for dinner and he's like,
Well,
If you could do anything in the world,
What would you do?
And I was like,
Honestly,
I'd quit my job.
I'd moved to New York City and I'd go to culinary school and he just looked at me and he was like,
Then that's what you should do.
And I never really had anybody actually say that,
You know,
And I think often we're looking for this permission from somebody else to go do that thing.
And I remember even looking at him and I just like my whole body got chills.
Like,
Like talk about,
Listen to your intuition.
You know,
I was like,
When your body lights up about something like you have to do that and your anything else will actually lead to depression because it's that suppression of source.
If you have some of that opening,
You're like,
Okay,
This is what I'm supposed to do.
The thing that lights you up,
Go do that.
It's in too many books now that you can deny it,
You know?
And so I started on the path to like,
Well,
Maybe if I just like fill out an application,
I don't know,
We'll see.
And I started just doing those little steps and I looked into like a business coach and I started to like make these little steps to like toy with the idea and everything just was coming to me.
It was ridiculous.
The right friends were like going,
I was starting to,
It's like when you want that encouragement,
You'll start attracting those friends that are like,
You should do this.
I went to another girlfriend of mine was like,
You know what,
Christine?
She's like,
You should just be the girl who does it.
And I'm like,
Yeah,
I should.
I'm just going to be the girl that does it.
And it's those little bursts of encouragement.
And then you're going to have,
When you have your doubts,
You're going to attract the friends that are like,
Are you crazy?
Like you have a great job,
You know,
You have an engineering degree.
Are you kidding me?
Like this is financially like not feasible,
Not a thing to do,
You know?
And my,
That first friend that took me out for dinner,
He became a bit of a catalyst to me going.
He even offered me the money to as a loan to go there,
Which I declined and I said no,
But I found ways to get the loan,
To get the money.
I'm like,
Oh my gosh,
This is crazy as can actually happen.
And it took six months to build up the courage.
I had written my letter of resignation.
Like it sat in my house for three months.
I just was so scared to like do it.
Right.
And I like knew all these things and I was reading all the books of leap in the net will appear and,
And it was so funny because the day it was like I got my PN,
I put in my letter of resignation.
For some reason I just wanted that PN to just confirm that I finished and I didn't quit.
And it wasn't even really finishing in a way.
I thought,
You know what,
This isn't even a finishing,
Like getting a PN should be the beginning of your career in a lot of ways.
For me,
I got it and then I was like,
I let it go.
I just,
This,
It was so kind of profound too,
To get something that felt so significant at one time and just let it go.
And it reminds me of the Buddhists who do those mandalas in the sand.
They spend so much time,
Like months making these beautiful mandalas and then they wash it away and it's like that detachment.
And I let go,
I quit my job.
I remember my friend,
His name was John.
He said to me,
It's nice to have a John story in here too,
Because he,
He said to me,
You never know when you're going to die.
Like you have to go,
You have to live your life now.
Like I wanted to go to the natural gourmet industry when I retired.
I was on my vision board for my retirement when I was 50 or whatever.
I thought,
I'll do this when I'm 50.
You'll be thinking about it.
Yeah.
And I'm like,
Do you want to live your life or do you want to live your life?
And so I get to New York and there's magic in that story as well.
Like I,
But I really want to get to the real good stuff.
So I have that.
That was sort of this,
Like,
You know what,
It was,
It took a lot of courage.
You got a lot of support.
I want to make this as useful for people listening as well as like,
Get those,
Those people of support,
Put it,
You need the visuals you need.
You need all the forces to follow through because,
Cause nobody's going to do it for you.
And you have to learn to have that trust.
But I had that little bit of that click from seven years prior was my seed planted from the tree of life.
It took me seven years to actually like go and do something with this and it lingered in me for so long.
And so whoever's sitting there,
No matter how old you are,
Whatever,
Just you,
It doesn't matter.
It's like the taking those steps will get you there.
I don't care if you're 50 or 60,
I don't care.
It's like,
Go do it or else,
You know,
Like you don't know when you're going to,
When your life is going to end.
So I went to New York,
It was magic.
I lived with the most beautiful roommate who was a male model.
Of course,
Like I was just had this crazy experience.
I lived in Williamsburg,
Brooklyn,
Which was like Hipsterville.
My roommate was,
I don't know if I should say his name,
I'll just say Julian.
That was his first name.
You can figure out the rest.
But he was just an amazing human and very cool and like,
You know,
Photographer for all these amazing like models and actors.
And he was like coming home being like,
I just shot Halle Berry today.
And I was just like,
Wow,
This is like really cool life.
And he was like 23 years old and I just thought,
Man,
This guy is amazing.
And this is who I get to live with.
And I'm like,
Living in this cool place.
And I got to,
I don't know,
It was just an amazing experience.
You know,
He taught me how to longboard and I was just like,
I don't know,
I just felt like it was a dream come true.
This whole new world of New York City is just buzzing with inspiration.
And the cooking school was phenomenal.
Everything was amazing.
The friendships,
The experiences like that,
That in itself is a whole book.
Yeah.
So,
And that's not even the good stuff.
So then I come back to Canada and it's a little bit of a like,
Wah wah,
Like,
It was hard to come back from that high to back to Canada,
Which is,
I just didn't know what I was going to do with this all now.
And I ended up getting a job in a kitchen in Edmonton called Nourish.
And amazing kitchen,
Amazing place.
However,
You know,
It was like that,
I'm working in a kitchen with 16 year olds.
I'm like 30 years old.
I come from a PN'S background.
Like I was like $14 an hour job.
And I'm like,
This is not my dream.
You know,
Making macaroons all day,
Very repetitive work.
It's not like,
This wasn't it,
You know.
And I didn't know what I was going to do.
And I knew the power of,
And this is probably one of the biggest tools that I'm sure you share in your stuff as well,
Which is feel it first.
Feel it first,
If there's one thing you take away from this entire conversation is feel it first.
Like,
Feel it first.
And that means like whatever you desire,
Whatever you want,
You really need to work on that inner playground of contemplation,
Of visualization,
Of feeling,
Not just visualizing,
But feeling that outcome.
And so I sat there with,
Okay,
I just quit the job because I was fearless.
I was pretty fearless and like quit the job.
I have no money.
And I didn't care,
You know,
Before I used to be so like,
Oh my gosh,
What am I going to do with money?
I used to have my spreadsheets.
I was very mechanical.
Like everything's like,
You know,
Left,
Right,
Mathematical,
Logical.
And now I'm on this whole other like illogical life that I could care less.
I was so happy.
I was like,
I don't even care.
I don't even.
And I said to my roommate,
I'm like,
You know what's so funny?
I quit my job.
I have no idea how I'm even paying rent next month.
And there's something really funny about that because I really honestly trust that something's going to work out because everything has been working out.
There's just been too much magic unfolding.
You know,
Other thing is too is like you really do speak things into existence.
So when you shift from like,
Oh,
I hate my job or oh,
Like the speaking of it is just planting more seeds.
You are the creator.
So the way life life,
Like life gives you stuff.
This is how I think of it.
I'm like life gives you stuff.
And sometimes it's not,
It's not wanted stuff.
And you're like,
How did I create this?
You know,
But it's how you respond to it.
That means everything.
And it's a constant ongoing practice to take something that's challenging.
Like we were saying,
Like something challenging and just turning it around to a positive.
So I quit my job.
I have no money.
I have like $40,
000 in debt that I just put on a line of credit because I'm like,
I'm doing this.
And I'm literally like at like wit's end,
Like I don't really know how I'm paying any bills.
And I said,
You know,
What's funny though,
Is I feel like a billionaire.
I truly feel like the wealth inside my heart and my soul is beyond money.
It is,
If I could put a monetary value on it,
I would literally invest a billion dollars into what I know and what I experienced.
And that's a profound statement.
It's very true.
It's,
It was like,
And I said to my room,
I'm like,
You know,
As funny as like,
I feel like a billionaire,
Like not even a millionaire.
What is this millionaire mindset?
Like there's billions,
Trillions,
Infinite.
There's infinite out there.
So I sat there and that's the real source of what we are connected to.
And then there's the humanness of us.
That's like,
I'm broke.
I have no this,
I have no this.
And that's just the human experience.
So it's like when you can kind of transcend that.
And again,
That's also,
I don't want to create this illusion of like,
It's all bliss on the other side.
It's like,
There's always to this day,
I still have to work to transcend that because we're all still human.
And so it's kind of,
But it's funny because I laugh at myself even when I go through my own struggles and I'm like laughing cause I'm like,
This is so funny.
What a funny experience I'm having.
Cause there's also the infinite that I can see that wisdom.
And I sat there and I meditate and this was my crazy story of I sat there and I meditated and I just said,
I am a billionaire.
I am.
And it's,
It's tattooed on my arm,
Which is the mantra we said at the tree of life,
Which was I am,
I am that I am that which is source.
I am infinite.
And I,
And I said,
I am a billionaire.
I am a billionaire.
And that was all my mantra.
I just sat there and I said,
I'm a billionaire.
And I meditated for,
I don't even remember how long,
But for several days I just kept waking up and I was literally in bliss.
Like I'm free,
I'm a billionaire.
I don't even know what's next.
And my friend said,
Well,
Where do you feel the most inspired?
And I said,
Honestly,
New York,
I miss New York.
It's so like,
It's amazing there.
She's like,
Well,
Why don't you go to New York?
And I'm like,
I can't afford it.
And the second I said that I was like,
Words create your reality.
So even when people say I can't afford something,
I'm like,
That's interesting words because I've been there where I literally don't have the money,
But I've said I can afford it.
And guess what happens?
The money comes.
So I was like,
All right,
I booked a flight.
I think it was like $250.
It was really cheap or maybe it was $500,
$250 each way I think.
I booked a flight to New York on a whim,
Just like wanted to go back to that inspiration and was able to stay with friends.
And it never happened before in my life either where I had an online course.
I built this little online program.
It was like eight weeks.
It was like,
I think it was $150 or $250.
And I usually like did little speaking engagements and I would sell this $250 program,
But I never like just had someone buy online,
Like just go and buy the program.
And that day that I flew to New York,
I had two people purchase that eight week program.
During the flight,
I landed to two notifications of $250 that paid the $500 flight to get to New York.
Oh my goodness.
It was just like,
There's literally 3000 of these events that I could be documented of like those like,
What?
What?
Just all the time.
So I get to New York,
End up spending a week.
I'm on my way back home and I go to Pure Food and Wine,
Which is the restaurant I got an internship at,
Which is also my dream restaurant,
Which of course I get the internship.
That was from before.
So I went there to pop in and they have a little cafe and it's a seating area.
It's really close and I'm wearing my tree of life necklace from before and it's a little raw food cafe and it's really amazing.
And I go in there and I order a smoothie and one of the guys from the kitchen says,
Oh my gosh,
Hey Christine,
How are you?
And he's like,
Did you get anything to eat?
And I'm like,
No,
I just got a smoothie.
And he's like,
Let me bring you something.
And he comes out with this little tray of food and this man sitting across from me,
He's like,
Well,
Lucky you,
Why are you getting treated with like VIP here?
And I said,
Oh,
I used to work here.
And he's like,
No way.
He's like,
Are you a raw food chef?
I said,
Yeah,
I do.
I'm plant based.
I do raw food as well.
And he's like,
You got to be kidding me.
He's like,
I've been looking for a raw food chef.
And I said,
Really,
Where have you been?
Where or where do you need me?
And he's like,
In Dubai.
And I'm like,
When do we go?
And I'm like,
My schedule's open,
You know?
And he said,
He's like,
No,
But he's like,
This is crazy,
Because we're actually working on this really amazing project.
And it's like,
Want to do something with like the hospital systems.
And it's like huge.
It's with like,
The royal family is kind of like wanting to back this.
And I'm just sitting there like,
Holy crap,
Like,
This is big deal.
He's like,
I and he had a story of his dad healing himself of diabetes with raw food.
And so Dubai really likes to be at the forefront of everything.
And so they were like,
Wanting to like,
Bring in raw food to heal diabetes.
And he's like,
But this is like a big project.
He's like,
I went to the center where my dad went and he's like,
And I tried to find a raw food chef.
There's so many,
They're kind of hippie dippie.
And I said,
Where did you go?
And he's like,
The center,
It's called the tree of life.
And I just smiled at him and I held up my necklace.
And I'm like,
That's where I trained.
And he's like,
No way.
It's like,
That's so funny because we need someone on the team to like,
Do the food portion.
But we really need someone with,
You know,
Some project management skills,
Because this is like a huge project in the hospital system.
And I said,
Well,
I actually have a background in mechanical engineering and project management.
Like tell me there's like,
Where you go to school for this and like,
Apply for that job.
Like it just doesn't happen.
This is,
This is the journey of the soul.
And I said,
And I laughed and I was like,
This is just so weird.
And he's sitting there saying like,
This is so weird,
You know,
But it's not.
That's what,
That's how the universe should go.
This is how it is on the other side of that leap in the net will appear.
You can't,
You can't plan this.
You have to be open to it.
Right.
And so two weeks later,
I was on a plane to Dubai and I was put up in a penthouse suite in the Palm Jumeirah,
Which I didn't even know what it was.
I'm like in it and I'm out on the balcony.
I'm like,
What is this building?
This is amazing.
And it's the,
It's the Island that they built like a Palm tree,
Like all the wealthy of the wealthiest people live there.
And his business partners who I was staying with and he was a billionaire.
Wow.
And I sat there two weeks after living in like my $250 room that I'm renting in Edmonton,
Alberta to this penthouse suite in the Palm Jumeirah of Dubai within two weeks of meditating saying I am a billionaire.
Talk about manifesting and calling that in.
Sitting there having a conversation with,
Yeah.
And the cool thing is,
Is that,
I mean that,
That in itself,
Like to me it even,
It even was like mind blowing and I thought,
Holy cow,
I know this stuff works.
I've lived it and it continues to be unbelievable.
And so I sat there and I had to really take that in as like,
And I was journaling like,
This is real.
Don't ever not believe this again.
You know,
Cause then you can wake up.
And what I love about following teachers like Abraham Hicks is,
You know,
And that's the other one,
If you haven't read the book,
Askinen is Given,
That's also like mandatory reading,
Right?
In life.
And I honestly like you still wake up every day with a subconscious reset.
So you can wake up the next day and go back to human existence,
Which I do often.
I'll be in human existence and then I'm like,
Oh yeah,
There's infinite potentiality out there,
You know?
And that's how we should be walking around.
And that's how a lot of people in Bali walk around.
So it was really like,
That's where all those,
The people that believe in this and know this really I think gravitate in Bali.
But so I was in Bali like,
Yeah,
Other people that get this.
Yeah,
So that's the first billionaire story.
The first.
So there's more.
Yeah.
And I think the cool thing is that is more the second one because Dubai became a whole other world of experience.
That's another book,
Right?
And I left Dubai out of like a whole other story,
But I left Dubai in a lot of pain actually.
And that,
That whole project didn't even unfold.
So it ended up,
I ended up coming back from Dubai and a year later doing similar manifestation work around like I'm looking for an adventure and then I got another email and boom,
I ended up working in Dubai for a different company.
That was completely different.
So I ended up there twice.
And that was an amazing experience,
But my emotional health wasn't very stable at the time.
And that's the other thing is like,
This hasn't just been all like,
Woo,
You know,
It's been like,
Whoa,
Whoa,
Whoa.
But it's worth every second.
And I end up in Bali because I needed some recharging of my own spirit.
A lot of things had fallen apart.
Relationships fall apart.
These things that are like,
You know,
They are,
They're a part of our growth.
It's like the universe will be like,
Nope.
And you get better.
I love that phrase.
When something isn't working out,
It's because you get better.
You have to trust that 100%.
So I get to Bali and I actually meet a really good girlfriend who's one of my best friends to this day.
And I said to her,
Because now I actually was going through another financial struggle.
And like,
It was like,
My finances were even like,
And I was like,
What is going on?
You know?
And I said to her,
I had found a practice called breath work,
Not meditation,
Breath work,
Neurodynamic,
Holotropic,
Whatever you want to call it.
This stuff is like,
It's more of a deep trauma release type experience.
Have you done breath work?
Have you experienced breath work?
I have.
I'm not super familiar.
So I'm excited to hear your take,
But I've done like circular breathing type.
Yes,
Yes.
It's all kind of the same.
And so it's,
Yeah,
It's kind of deep for people say trauma release.
I don't,
I don't know if I like the word trauma because people associate that with like,
Oh,
You've been abused or something.
And it's like,
Yeah,
We're all being abused every day in life.
There's a lot of like,
I call them universal smack downs or whatever,
Like,
Or just daily stresses,
Right?
That to me is like trauma in the body.
And so breath work was a tool that I found and it was a way of releasing through breath,
The emotional baggage that stored.
And this is stuff from,
It goes back and it's stored in your cells from things like childhood people that say past lives,
Like who knows?
All I know is this stuff is like ultimate manifesto miracle stuff.
It's because like I said,
The universe is always trying to provide,
It's you that gets out,
Needs to get out of the way.
And if you're a constant thinker like I am,
You need a lot of practice in the meditation and allowing and breath work to me is also similar to yoga.
Like the yoga practice to me too is also,
It's a way to get your body in physical alignment with your life.
And that's why people,
They start with yoga is like,
Oh,
It's good for flexibility and stretching and then they realize that it's actually like your whole body intelligence is also connected to spirit and that's where people are like,
Holy cow,
I feel better.
I have,
You know,
They're more deeply connected to their intuition,
Which is a lot of people are disconnected from their intuition.
They're always in their head.
They think it's them.
They think they are them.
And it's like,
No,
There's a soul inside of you that is guiding you.
If you,
If you can figure out how to let go of what's in here and listen to what's in here.
Yeah.
I clear that noise.
Yeah.
And I get it cause I used to be completely disconnected from it.
So I would,
I was always in here.
Everything was logical.
It's like,
It's either this or this.
And you realize like,
No,
Everything's perspective.
If you think the world is doomsday,
That's your perspective.
That's what you choose to focus on and that's,
What's going to come into your life.
If you think it's bliss and beautiful,
Like it's just crazy how you make that little shift.
I used to have a very negative thoughts around men.
You know,
I attracted a lot of addicts,
Men that had emotional trauma,
Like abused as children.
Like these were like,
I just like wanted to like love them back to health and guess what they did to me,
Like destroyed my soul.
Like in a lot of ways I had,
So I had this resentment towards men and that was even another thing that guess what,
Guess what I kept attracting,
You know?
And until I started shifting that mindset and that was another reason why I loved Julian so much in New York who I lived with.
Cause I started to say like,
Men can be beautiful and loving and amazing.
And you know,
He was,
He was so kind and you know,
He's still human to it.
He was so loving and kind and also just one of the most beautiful,
Physically attractive men I'd ever seen.
You know?
And I was like,
He was just,
He was,
You know,
He was modeling and just,
Just really lovely.
He wasn't like,
I'm like,
How are you so lovely?
You know,
This is so weird.
And that continued to unfold too.
We start to meet men that have good hearts and are in tune with themselves and you're like,
Wow,
This,
This exists.
When you open up to it,
It's like,
It's there.
So I told my girlfriend about breath work.
I said,
This is like a huge way to release if you have money problems,
If you have relationship issues if you don't know what your purpose is,
If you're,
You know,
Whatever breath work to me is the greatest way to peel away the layers of the onion.
And for me,
I think because of my experience of the tree of life,
I feel like I'm really susceptible to these things.
It brings me back because I have that kind of cellular memory of like this amazing time.
So but for a lot of people,
It takes,
And I still practice breath work like twice a week because it just keeps me in that space.
I believe it's actually why even we connected because I just started doing breath work again about eight weeks ago and all this stuff,
It's like reminded me of like,
And then I get this interview and it's just like,
It's so profound to me.
And I said to my girlfriend,
I'm like,
This breath work stuff,
It helps open you up to abundance to the universe,
To everything.
She's like,
Oh,
I can't afford it.
It's like $400.
I'm like,
I can't afford it either,
But I can't afford not to do this because that even if you're saying the words,
I can't afford it is the reason why you need to do the breath work because it's also an experience of like,
Holy cow,
Like the connection to infinite.
And then what happens is that the events that come into your life following because you are your own attractor that,
And you,
What we,
You know,
We always hear the word vibration,
Like raise your vibration and you attract better things.
Well,
I like to say a lot of my clients don't understand or don't resonate,
Which is funny,
To resonate with the word vibration.
They think that a lot of people still think that's kind of a woo word.
And I would say like,
Just think of it as your emotional state.
So a higher vibration is higher,
Higher vibe,
Higher like happiness.
And another thing as I'm saying that,
I think it's so important to realize that a low vibe or a depressed state,
Let's say,
Isn't a bad state.
It's not good and bad.
I spent years thinking this is good,
This is bad.
And when I felt bad,
I was,
Or when I felt low or depressed,
I'm like,
Oh,
This is bad.
I need to get higher.
And the thing I love about breath work is they'll say,
It's not about feeling better.
It's about getting better at feeling.
Hmm.
Oh,
Getting better at feeling.
Yeah.
Oh,
Cause we're so afraid to feel what we think is wrong.
And especially for me in relationships with like men,
I feel so much shame around my depressive symptoms around wanting to cry for days in bed sometimes.
And I want to make that not like,
Oh,
It's okay to cry in bed for several days,
But it is,
It's okay.
It's part of many people's human existence.
And I've always tried to like fix that part of me.
And breath work actually helps me to have less of that in my life.
Because I think depressed,
When I go into those states,
It's because I'm not expressing or I'm not feeling what I need to feel.
So I hold it down and then it turns into this,
Like what looks like this awful experience for the outside looking in and a lot of men get triggered by it.
And it's,
It's affected a lot of my relationships and the more I accept it,
The more I feel,
The more I embrace,
The less it comes.
And the more I'm accepted,
Even by a man that can look at that and love it and say,
You're okay,
I accept you.
Like,
God,
I just want to cry.
If I could hear that word from a man would be like,
I just accept you.
That's what we need to hear from ourselves.
And that's when you let go and allow.
And this is literally,
This is explained in a 10 minute video on that,
The magnet to miracles.
I talk about that,
That grace towards yourself.
Because when you go on the journey of the unknown,
You are bound to have some human moments,
Which is like fear.
Oh my gosh,
Like the logical mind.
And you have to start getting in tune with your emotions because you'll have a lot of them.
Especially if you're like me.
But yeah,
So I went to this breath work.
I told,
I was begging my friend to come.
It was a four day retreat of breath work.
And I said,
Honestly,
Like I told her my billionaire story.
I said,
You know what,
When I let go and like,
This is what breath work gets you into that space of letting go.
And I'm like,
And two weeks later I'm sitting in Dubai and I'm telling her the story.
And I said,
You know what,
Like you can attract so much more money if you just do this.
And she was sort of like,
Oh yeah,
That's interesting,
But I can't afford it.
And I'm like,
Get out of your logical head.
And I went and I couldn't afford it.
And we went from a Thursday to like a Tuesday or something.
I can't remember the last day,
But it was not,
Not even joking.
It was the Wednesday.
I was leaving my apartment not knowing where I was living.
I literally,
And I roll like that now.
The more you actually create that space,
It's a really big thing in manifestation of creating space.
If you fill up your life with all this stuff,
You're never creating space for something to come in,
You know?
And so I literally like had gotten out of my apartment.
I was supposed to move that day and I didn't know where I was moving to yet.
It's pretty easy to find a place though in Bali,
Right?
You can kind of like go on the certain markets.
So I wasn't that worried,
But I literally was moving out of my place on Wednesday.
I get a call from one of my chefy friends who I met on some random boat trip.
That's also another story,
But he calls me and he says,
I have a client that needs a personal chef.
They want plant-based.
I can't do it.
Are you able to do it?
He's a great guy,
Has a two year old and whatever,
And they paid good and it's like 10 days or something on the coast.
I think it was not Uluwatu.
Where was it?
Was it Canggu?
I think it was just Canggu.
Yeah.
And I was like,
Send him my number.
Like all right.
So I get this call that day and he offers to grab a car for me to come out there that day with my stuff and spend 10 days.
What I didn't realize was he was another billionaire.
And he rented this Villa that was,
I don't,
I don't even know.
I couldn't even guess how much a night I would presume like $5,
000 a night.
Like this Villa was insanity.
It had 12 staff.
I had five staff in the kitchen and it was for him and his ex wife and their little two year old to cook for.
And I had five staff and my own suite in this huge mansion.
And then I got to also obviously interact with him and it was phenomenal.
And I was sharing him my stories too and he was just laughing.
And he was like,
Yeah,
That's how it works,
Isn't it?
He was brilliant,
Amazing,
Amazing human.
And it was just profound for me to sit there in this Villa and I go back to my friend and I'm like,
And she was like jaw dropped.
And so she shows up.
So then I stayed there,
I think it was 10 days and he left,
But he had rented it for 11 and he wasn't able to get a refund on the last day.
So he said,
You know what,
If you want to invite some friends,
Like I'll give gift you this for the last day.
I was like,
Wow,
Like thank you so much.
Like again,
Amazing.
And I said,
Okay,
So I called my friend Layla and I called up some friends.
We had a big dinner with all the leftovers cause he wouldn't eat leftovers.
He only wanted fresh everything.
Everything needs to be live fresh.
So I'm like making these amazing like plant based lasagnas and I was just saving everything in the freezer.
And I had all these friends come over to eat all these amazing leftovers and including my friend Layla who is the one that was like,
What the heck?
And didn't do the breath work and then do the breath work and she showed up and she just kind of broken up with this guy she was seeing.
So she was a little down and I'm in bliss mode and she shows up.
We had this staff go pick up some wine for us cause that's what you do at these places and we're sitting there having a pool party.
They had like the big floaties and like,
You know,
And a little pool party dancing with our like amongst ourselves.
And she kept saying,
Wow,
Like I would,
I would,
I could only dream of staying in a place like this.
She was coming from that energy of like,
Oh wow,
Like I could never have a place like this,
But how amazing is this?
And I looked at her and I said,
Why don't you try changing that to this is my normal.
This is how I am,
This is what I,
That what I always experience.
And I was trying to teach her these manifestation tools,
Which was like,
Feel it first.
This is my life.
This is you'll,
You'll attract more experiences through other people in the beginning.
Then you'll be able to afford yourself.
And that's the sign that you're on that path.
And then,
Then slowly you'll be able to afford them yourself,
You know?
But I had so many years of these like magnificent experiences from private jets to this,
To that.
And I'm like,
How am I,
Never really just thought I was lucky.
I'm like,
No,
I'm open.
I'm open to the magic.
And so she started to,
She's like,
She started to get it and she was like,
All right.
She put on her house coat,
She's got her wine and her slippers and she's like,
This is exactly how I roll.
Like,
And she started to embody it,
Which is the thing that if you,
Whatever situation you're in,
You have to ask yourself,
What is my vibrational state?
What is my,
You know,
Like the one who just got broken up with your there's,
There's that you can sense their energy.
The energy is kind of like,
Oh,
I just got broken up with the down and I'm like,
Ew,
Let's clean that up.
Let's like,
Let's get that cleaned up.
And that's why I think breath work is the way to clean that out.
It's just expression to get it out because your natural state is that kind of joy,
Amazingness that we can,
We can get back to.
So she was just like totally embodying it,
Like laughing it up,
Enjoying her time and,
And just got out of that funk that she was in earlier.
And we spent the night,
We had an amazing dinner with friends and then that was like,
I can't remember what day of the week this is a couple of years ago.
So then literally by that weekend she phones me and I also,
After this 10 days is up,
I still don't know where I'm going to live.
And I get a call from a woman that I met at a birthday party,
Like a two year old's birthday party from Canada.
She's a Canadian and she's,
She has this amazing villa and she's like,
I really want someone to like come live with me and teach me how to do plant based foods.
Would you like to stay in my villa and just live with me for a month?
And I'm like,
Yeah.
So I moved in with her for a month and just,
You know,
Made some food and it was just really,
Really fun.
Anyways,
So I,
But the day I moved in there,
I get a call from Layla and she's like,
So you're not going to believe this.
And she's like,
Well,
You probably will because this is your life.
She's like,
But I figured I should invite you because I think you,
You're the reason behind this.
And I said,
What?
She's like,
I just got a call from this girl that I met like a few weeks prior,
Like literally know Bali so transient.
She met this girl,
I don't,
I think she was from Holland,
She was somewhere in Europe and she had rented a night at the hanging gardens of Bali,
Which is the eight star resort,
About $700 a night,
Like ridiculous place that you see in all the magazines with like that private infinity pools on your own little villa that you come on these little carts down through the jungle to like park at your little villa entrance.
And then it keeps going down to everybody's private villas.
And then there's a huge double infinity pool where they have like this setup that's in all the magazines for romantic couples because you can do dinner for two,
Just like a private dinner for two on that main infinity pool that they bring up like this thing in the pool itself that you kind of like a pedestal thing that comes up.
And she's like,
This girl just called me saying it was unfortunate circumstances.
She and her family had passed away.
She had booked the hanging gardens of Bali for her birthday night and she had to fly back and they wouldn't refund her money.
So she gifted it to Layla.
And again,
Like these experiences,
You don't,
You can't plan these,
You don't,
You attract them.
And so she,
She's like,
You want to come to the hanging gardens of Bali with me for the night?
Okay.
You know,
And so we had the most fun night you could ever have,
Like just dance parties around these infinity pools and just like laying in the sun and just embracing this life.
And from then on,
It's just,
I don't know,
It's just always this like,
Crazy,
Crazy magic.
And when you open to it,
It's just unbelievable.
And what I really want to encourage people to realize is that you can feel like a billionaire too.
Like you can really get there.
And it's,
It's just,
It's so real.
And I don't think enough people realize how real it is.
And that's such an important,
Important message for your life.
Yeah,
I always think of the people who are living these big,
Miraculous lives.
It's like,
Okay,
There could be a conversation around people have different resources and different whatever,
But we all have that same internal connection to source,
To energy,
To,
You know,
What we can open to allow into our lives.
We all have access to the same level of connection.
Yeah.
And I think when people,
You know,
Travel,
I think that's why people love travel is because you get to experience a little bit of that magic as long as you're not doing the like,
I'm going to an all inclusive in Mexico.
You know,
If you go off the beaten path,
Like,
You know,
You read books like the alchemist,
You read these books that explain this phenomenon and you experience it a lot of times when you travel,
Like just like,
Oh,
I just chance meeting this person that went there and you know,
I would be at when I was in New York,
It was like,
I would talk about like,
Oh,
You know,
I want to go watch some jazz music or something.
And then the next day someone's like,
Hey,
I know this great jazz thing that's coming out and you just kind of it's this alignment that keeps coming and folding when you're in that aligned space when you're in your head and in the blocked space,
Which I can go to any a day of the week,
Like anybody else,
You're,
You're a block to it and it just then life becomes rational and nope,
Logical and this is how it is and that becomes your experience too.
So I think conversations like this,
I think,
Um,
Surrounding yourself with like minded people that think and believe this and live it is so imperative because I've been back in Canada now again from Bali for two years and I feel like I came back and was just like my glowy self and I felt like I also started to lose my glow a little bit and wanted to go back to,
You know,
You're around people that live normal jobs and whatever again,
And I'm like,
How do I fit in here?
And I kind of fall back to my own wanting to be normal or like,
You know,
Complain about my life or,
And it's like,
I don't,
I can't complain.
I don't,
I don't want to be that.
I don't,
Um,
I want to stay in the magic and it does take a lot of diligence to have the practices in place to like your meditation practice,
Like your journaling practices,
You know,
Um,
Connecting with other people,
Breath work,
Nutrition.
I try to do more regular fasting too,
Just to keep myself as clear and high vibe as possible.
And then also then relationships can be challenging too because relationships I think are challenging when you're in a,
For me,
It's been challenging in,
In the,
With my sort of awareness cause I tend to like want to,
Um,
Almost hide that part of myself and just be normal in a relationship and,
And,
And you can't like,
You can't deny that.
And so it's like,
You also have to find,
I think a relationship that wants to grow with you and,
And tap into that sort of inner intelligence with you.
And um,
Yeah,
Like truth becomes the only way.
And when you deny your truth,
You'll experience the depression and a lot of people like at times too,
I've like,
For me,
I always bring up finances as well again because it's been also,
Yeah,
Some crazy highs and lows at that.
And I also,
It's just wild to me how I've had weeks where I have made like $10,
000 in a week,
You know,
And then I've had months of nothing at times.
And so it's like learning,
Learning the ins and outs and the trust of finances too is,
Is a,
Is,
Can be a,
A,
A journey,
But it's like,
It's an inner journey and knowing your worth and knowing all this stuff.
Like it's a,
It's a journey that others have done before you and it just keep,
Keep staying in contact and learning from those others that have done it before you too.
Cause you're not alone.
And I'm part of some amazing communities now that keep me supported and keep me in check with like knowing my worth too.
Yeah,
Because I really believe the bottom line comes down to believing that it's possible,
Whether you're getting tripped up in stories about your lack of self worth or whatever the stories are,
Maybe you're surrounded by people or your partner,
Whoever that don't quite get it and you feel like maybe you have to dim down and you kind of lose your belief.
And I think that's why it's so important to like hear from women like you are living it and surrounding yourself as much as you can with like evidence that evidence,
Like it's not even okay.
It's like,
This is what your life,
But you just first trust and believe that it's possible.
And then you open up and then you allow it to come in and for you to,
It's so,
So true.
And one of my close friends that I met in Bali,
Again on that same boating trip,
I wanted this random overnight boating trip.
And there are 11 of us that were on this trip are still besties to this day.
And we're all so different.
One was a surfer girl from,
She lived in Uluwatu,
Was from France.
She does hand poking tattoos.
She's the one that did my tattoo after I said I was never going to get a tattoo two days beforehand.
And I said,
But if I were,
I would get one that was like my I am mantra from the tree of life and like some certain,
These tools,
These things that really changed my life.
And then three days later I meet this girl that's like,
Oh,
I would love to design that for you.
And I showed her the symbols and she's like,
Oh my God,
I do this.
And I'm like,
Okay.
And a week later I'm getting a tattoo.
You know?
But another friend that I met on that trip,
Her name is Swati and she's this amazing,
Beautiful inside and out woman from South Africa.
And she runs a company called Shift Within,
Which is like everything in her.
She's written children's books on helping them tune into their spirituality and their mantras,
Like their affirmations and all these things about self love.
And I'm like,
You're just like,
And she formulated this tea company that's just like magical,
Really high end teas from South Africa.
And she's just,
I don't know,
She's just a phenomenal woman.
And her and I within,
Like in seconds we were just like besties and we're still friends to this day.
And then we ended up working together because she's like,
Oh my gosh,
My clients would love your work.
And so I worked with over 30 women from South Africa through her and they were like,
These women were like presidential daughters,
Were celebrity women that were,
You know,
One of them is really good friends with Oprah Winfrey.
Well,
You know,
They're really like these prominent women in South Africa and I was teaching them my methods.
And we did this like,
We did this 30 day glow accelerator program that I created with them as I went through.
And it was crazy to me.
I built these guided meditations to do that inner work and to watch these women who I would look up to,
Who I was like,
Wow,
You women are amazing.
And they call themselves the glow queens.
Like you guys are the glow queens.
I just,
I bonded with them so deeply because we all shared this inner connection and they came out of that program just like many of them in tears,
Many of them profoundly shifted and thanking Swati and I saying,
Thank you,
You've given me the gift of the kingdom within again.
And many of them still have their own life struggles.
Like it doesn't matter if you're who you are in the world,
You still have your own internal struggles,
You know?
And if anything,
The higher I really resonate with the greater your branches,
You know,
The deeper your roots.
I actually believe that as you do greater things,
I actually think you have to deal with greater struggles as well.
And you have to build that resiliency and that knowing and that trust and that faith and that like,
Okay,
Thank you,
Like,
Thank you for this gift of whatever this is for.
You know?
And it's almost like,
I truly believe we can't,
We're not given anything that we can't handle.
So it's like,
As you expand more and you grow more,
You're more able to look at those deeper,
Like maybe they've always been there,
Those deep rooted aspects that now we can look at because we're finally at that stage where we're capable to look at,
To hold,
To sit with and to be clear and move beyond that.
It's so true.
And you know,
It's,
I don't know,
I feel like I want to talk about this every day of my life because it's so necessary and I think it's,
To me it's what the Bible is trying to teach us.
It's what all of these sort of spiritual texts are really trying to lead to the same thing in my opinion.
It's like,
And it is,
It's so profound and I still find it interesting that there's so many people,
Like I've tried to go to like,
You know,
Pastors and people that I'm like,
Okay,
Yeah,
I want to have this conversation about God with you.
I want to,
You know,
Talk about this as like,
You know,
What,
Like your ways to connect.
Like,
You know,
There's prayer,
There's,
You know,
Prayer to me is that asking,
Meditation is the listening,
The,
You know,
The connecting and the nature and all these things like you do that.
It's so profound to really experience that there is something so much greater that's taking care of,
Care of you and it's profound to experience and it's impossible.
Another one of my tattoos is once you know you can't unknow.
Yeah,
I love that.
You know.
What does that mean for you?
Because I can say what that means for me is like,
You open that door and there's this truth you can't deny,
But for you what does that mean?
Yeah,
It's the same.
It's because it's like,
It's like what we were saying about like once you have this light and you'll there for some reason you'll be prone to want to dim it.
You'll be prone to want to like,
I don't know for me,
I often,
I often want to go back to ignorance in a way.
I often just want to like,
Because,
Because knowing this is also,
It's like once you know better you have to do better and there's more of a,
There's more of a duty that comes with it.
There's like this duty that sometimes you're like,
Why am I the one that has to share this?
Like I want to just kind of be normal and go,
You know,
Just go drink beer and eat my skittles or whatever like I used to and be okay with that.
And those moments still happen,
You know,
But,
But you,
It's hard to like know more and when you know more,
You can't,
You go back and you,
You can't dim that light and you can't not do the work anymore.
Like for me,
When I stopped the yoga,
Stopped the meditation,
Stopped the plant based foods,
Like coming back to Alberta,
It's a lot of like meat and potatoes.
It's a lot of like going out for beer and wings.
And I try to kind of go back almost to like fit in and you can't,
You like you're,
For me the emotional like trauma that comes with that is like,
So it's,
It's to me,
I'm highly sensitive in a way that it's,
It's like for a lot of people who can just go for dinner and eat their ribs and,
And they're fine.
I can't do that as much.
Like I'll,
I do that and I'll,
I'll be like in a weird,
Distressful state that's just like tells me that I can't and I have to listen to that.
So it's,
It's more,
Yeah,
Like more duty to,
You know,
Knowing you,
You can't unknow it though.
You can't like,
And sometimes I want to like even be more complacent in a relationship.
I just want to like,
Okay,
Yeah,
This is good.
It's like,
No,
I need depth.
Yeah.
I need,
I can't not know what I know and not want to share that with somebody,
Especially like a partner.
Because it's not something you can just like cruise along with anymore,
It's,
There's this disconnect with what you know is possible,
That maybe what used to be now no longer like there's.
.
.
It's not,
It's not okay.
And you're like,
You know,
And you know,
I know so much about growth and the journey that it's,
It continues to be,
And you have to be on that journey.
And when you're,
Yeah,
I think the biggest thing is for me in relationships,
It's been always challenging and learning a lot because I want to grow and I want to grow with a person and I can't not grow.
Like to me,
I'm like,
Okay,
That's like,
That to me is like just death.
Like I,
And I want to finish on a note too of,
Of John,
My John story,
Because when I came back from New York,
Him and I reconnected and we were supposed to go for,
He was going to come up to Edmonton to see me to go to,
He was going to take me to Oilers game.
That's the hockey game.
And I remember being like,
Oh,
I'm so excited.
Like we hadn't really talked a lot since New York and I was like so grateful to him and I just thought,
Wow,
I can't wait to share with him all my stories.
And you know,
He was such a catalyst for me to do this journey.
And this was like a Friday we spoke and he texted me saying like,
Have the best day ever or have,
Cause that was my thing,
Have the best day ever.
He said something like have the best Friday ever.
And he was supposed to come up in two weeks and the Friday,
The next Friday,
I get a call from another friend of mine who says,
Oh my gosh,
I'm so sorry.
And I said,
What are you talking about?
And he said,
John passed away last night.
And I was like,
No,
We're supposed to meet next Friday.
You know,
He always had this like,
No,
They didn't.
Like you don't want to like believe it.
And when he passed away,
I also like sat there and really internalized that as like,
Thank you for the most profound gift I think I've ever received,
Which is you don't ever know when you're going to die.
And I would not be on this path without that message.
And holy shit,
What a lesson,
You know?
And when you lose someone that's close to you,
It's like,
I say pain is fuel and I've never had more fuel than that.
You know,
And to this day,
I just like,
It's so many years now and it still hurts the heart to like think about it.
But I also like just,
It's just such a powerful way to live and that lit a fuel under me like nothing else.
And I think like,
You got to take the pain and rise with it.
And that's what life is about is rising and growing and not staying the same because staying the same will be a complacent life.
And it's very,
You know,
And some people might be happy with that.
If they're happy with that,
Great.
But if you're not,
If you're feeling that pull,
You know,
Because I realized like I have friends that are happy and I wouldn't,
You know,
They're not necessarily like on this like big spiritual growth path that I feel like I've been on and that's okay.
And sometimes I envy that.
Like I say,
I want to just sometimes just be that because of the amount of roller coaster that sometimes my life can be.
But at the same time,
I just know that I know that I'm on my path and it's crazy,
But it's um,
I wouldn't change it for the world.
Yeah.
Thank you for sharing that story about Jon.
It's inspiring to me just to hear that and to feel your emotion through that.
And it is such a reminder that anything could happen at any moment.
And imagine if you were still thinking about waiting until you retired,
Like who knows who knows what's going to happen next week.
Who knows what's going to happen the rest of the day today?
You know,
We can't hold off on waiting for those things and waiting for the perfect time never arrives.
No that's it too.
That thank you for saying that because that you're like,
If you're waiting to be ready,
Good luck.
I wasn't ready to go to Dubai and open a plant based like I did.
I ended up doing a plant based food delivery program.
Never done that before,
You know,
But guess what happened?
One of the world's leading plant based chefs happened to be flying into Canada like the two months before I was leaving and was doing like this sort of culinary retreat thing with a friend of mine that brought him in and I went to it and him and I,
He became like a mentor,
A friend.
He sat down with me and wrote my proposal with me and I'm like,
How do I have this world renowned plant based chef becoming my mentor out of nowhere?
I'm like,
I'm just from Red Deer,
Alberta.
I always say that.
I'm like,
I'm just right here.
And I just like,
You know,
And it's,
It is the,
The universe does have your back.
I mean,
Listen,
If you follow some Gabrielle Bernstein stuff too,
And she's very much a teacher in this space and I don't know.
Yeah,
It's,
It's so,
It's so profound and it's such a cool journey and I just really want to encourage if you're,
If anybody's feeling that pull,
Like to just do it and do it before you're ready.
Do it while you're here.
Do it while it's this big unknown.
Just do it.
Yeah.
The more unknown it is,
I think the more magic that happens.
I think the more scary it is,
The more magic.
There's a real correlation with that.
I,
I think,
You know,
People that kind of play it safe and they kind of like,
Oh,
Just like build my little side hustle as I grow.
You'll you will,
You know,
I,
I have a respect for that and I also like admire that.
And sometimes I think like I should have done that,
But I wouldn't have done that and I wouldn't have had the things that had happened to me if I kind of played it like that.
Oh,
Just sort of build this on the side until it,
You know,
Till I have the savings to like build up past this and then I'll switch to careers.
Like that would have taken me 20 years,
You know,
And I want,
And John would say,
He's like,
You can,
Um,
He's like,
He would,
He would always map out the finances for me on my chalkboard.
He was like,
All right,
Let's see how this works.
Like you put this much money down and he wrote this out on the chalkboard that said like how much money,
Like if you say,
Do you think you could build like a $500 program?
I said,
Yeah,
So $500 program.
Okay,
Well let's say,
You know,
If you sold 10 of those a month,
That would be $5,
000 a month.
And I was like,
Oh,
That's not bad.
And he's like,
Do you think that over a five to even 10 year window that you could figure out how to do that and make that happen?
And I was like,
Yeah.
And he's like,
Then wouldn't you rather spend those five to 10 years figuring it out and doing something that you love than what you're doing now?
And I was like,
Yeah.
And then at the bottom of all of some financial stuff about how I could have,
Because I was saying I couldn't afford to go to New York.
At the bottom,
He basically wrote,
You can't afford not to.
Yeah,
There's such a,
There's so much truth in that.
And that's been such a common theme in everything you've said.
It's like,
You can believe the stories of why you can't,
Whether it's money,
Whether it's something else.
But it's like on so many levels,
You can't afford not to.
Yeah.
And it's hard to some,
When I have my down days,
How many people gravitate towards like,
Oh,
Well,
You know,
Why don't you just go get an engineering job?
And I'm like,
You don't get it.
You don't get it.
So you really do need that,
Those friends that will be there for you and just tell you that this is it,
This is your journey and you can do this.
And that kind of real cheerleading squad that you need during the times that you don't believe in yourself too,
Because there's always those who are still human,
Which is really funny to me because through everything I've been through,
There's no reason for me to believe anything but the best.
But yeah,
It's still a journey for me too.
And I think it's,
But it's the best one ever.
And I am ignited more than not more and more,
And it's amazing.
I love that.
I just love your whole energy and everything that you have to share.
And thank you for being so honest too about still being human and having your moments where you.
.
.
Oh yeah,
Talk to my ex-boyfriends.
You know,
Like it's just,
My only prayer is that more men can understand women in this regard too.
Yeah,
There's so much opportunity for growth with all of that.
But I think at first,
Like with all of the wishing the external were any different than it is,
It always starts with what we can do for ourselves.
Like that always for me has to be the focus.
I'll shift in here,
I'll grow,
I'll up level and then my ex- Then the outer changes.
Yes.
And that's the biggest message too is it's like people are looking at the external and like being like,
Oh,
This is happening and all this is crap and all this is this.
And it's like how you're responding to that.
Like the internal will create the external.
So if you're not getting what you want externally,
It's because there's something internal that needs to shifting.
And that's like your mirror.
So when I hear people like talk about like,
Oh,
This friend did this to me or this,
This,
It's like,
Why are you attracting that experience?
And that is the huge self-awareness awakening moment too.
It's like,
Why is this happening?
How am I creating this?
And like you say,
Like once you start to internalize,
Like I started changing,
That's why mantras I am statements,
Affirmations are powerful when combined with some of the release type techniques.
Cause I think sometimes affirmations just mask things.
If you feel broke and you're just saying,
I'm abundant,
I'm abundant,
I'm abundant,
You don't really internalize it and feel it and like release the lack of abundance.
You'll never actually get to that real true feeling of abundance and then watch some of the income flow in from that.
And I've continuously experienced that like massive abundance to like,
If I get into that feeling of lack,
It's like,
Oh my gosh,
I just got this bill.
Like why am I getting a $3,
000 bill from whatever?
And it's like,
Ooh,
So I'm just,
It's like a constant self check.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's gotten here.
Hmm.
I love that.
Yes.
So where can people listening find you?
You mentioned the video on your YouTube.
Yep.
Catch me if you can.
I have not lived in the same country or city or the home in for one year,
Longer than one year in 18 years.
Oh my goodness.
Where can you find me?
Social media.
Yeah.
Online.
So inner glow getter is my website.
Inner glow getter.
Com.
Yeah.
And Instagram is inner glow getter as well.
My Facebook page is something to chew on.
All these links are actually on my website too.
So and my YouTube channel is linked from my website as well,
But it's all,
That's under Christine Fraser and Christine is spelled like K R I S T I N.
It's like Kristin,
But it's Christine Fraser.
And I do have a personal Instagram too.
That's a little bit more my journey stuff.
The inner glow getter is a lot more foodie and the retreats and you know,
Business oriented things.
You know,
But yeah,
The YouTube channel is also Christine Fraser,
But it's,
You know,
You can find everything through inner glow getter.
I'm really interested in the notes here as well.
Yeah.
So people can connect with you.
Yeah.
And you know,
Come on a virtual cooking class,
You know,
Come,
You know,
We do some of these things that I do a lot of little free trainings that you can join in on if you just download even,
Even just the recipe pack on,
On the website.
That's that's going to get you into the mailing list where I'll teach you,
I'll share with you a little bit more of what's happening and what things you might want to participate in.
And I do also offer like some private,
You know,
Private coaching and stuff too,
For some people,
If they want a little bit more of that deeper sort of nourishment,
Like clearing experiences.
Cause I have worked with some women one woman in particular that was like in her fifties and she was a police officer somewhere in the police police force.
And she didn't want to do that anymore.
She didn't know what she wanted to do.
And she was kind of struggling with depression.
And I always smile when people are struggling with depression cause I'm like,
I got you.
And I put her through like a seven,
Literally seven day accelerated process.
And she literally,
I only saw her the one day,
Gave her assignments,
Saw her seven days later and she walked in beaming.
She had already just quit her job and,
And knew what she was doing already.
She's like,
I just enrolled in school.
She went back to college and she was like,
I'm five years away from a lifelong pension.
And she's like,
And I don't care.
And I was like,
I know,
Right?
It's like,
It's like life,
Just those things that we think matter don't matter anymore when you're connected.
And so I helped her connect.
And so I love watching other people find that connection.
And the retreats I host are very powerful in helping people do that.
Because it's very experiential and you get away from your current environment too.
So yeah.
But yeah,
Reach out,
Say hi.
I would love if you listen to this and you just have a comment,
Just like,
I love hearing people's comments or thoughts.
Or if you have questions,
I'm always open to chat and give any feedback too.
Or just be your cheerleader.
I say,
Watch out cause I'll believe in you.
I'll be the one that believes in you and watch out.
You know?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I think we all need that.
You know,
Sometimes when it's not so easy to connect to our own inner cheerleader,
If we have someone else who can be that.
I have forces.
Like I,
People think that I'm,
You know,
Inner glow getter,
Happy.
You know,
I have my,
I have my best day ever cups and it's like,
Everything's all good.
And I know the power of glowing and,
And I live it.
But yeah,
I have forces behind me too that pick me up when I'm down and it's,
It's,
It takes forces to be as happy as I like to be.
But it's all possible.
It is.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Oh,
I love that so much.
Well,
Thank you so much,
Christine.
Thank you so much.
It's been so cool to reconnect with you and I can spend,
As you can see,
A lot of time just sharing stories.
So I'm like,
I could talk all day long.
I just glanced at the time and I couldn't even believe how long we've been talking because we've just been in this vortex.
So yeah,
Yeah,
I enjoyed this and I know I've gotten a lot out of this.
So I trust that others listening have gotten their own nuggets of gold.
So so,
So grateful for you,
Christine.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
Thanks so much for listening.
