There is a skill we must learn.
The skill is trusting your center.
Life as we know it is temporal.
Some memories are joyful,
Some are painful.
And so easy to want only those that feel good.
And so easy to want no hardship.
But there is no balance in this life without opposition.
There is no balance without the excruciating pain of adversity.
It's an inevitable part of life.
It's wise to find a way,
To find a process,
To build resilience in our confidence.
From a seat of awareness we can come to find joy from all the colors of life.
But we must practice this skill.
Today we are going to orient ourselves towards our center to build hope and optimism.
Let's just settle into a seated position where you are comfortable,
Strong spine,
A soft heart,
Sinking like sand into the ocean,
As if you are being rooted down into the earth.
We use our breath to anchor ourselves into the body.
Breathe in and out,
Starting to slow down.
Gently relax,
Let go of any discomfort or unease.
Feel the breath rising and falling like waves.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
It's easy to rise into anger or doubt.
It's easy to be swallowed by our fears.
It's easy to be lost and wake up one day and the spark inside of us is dulled and for some of us it can be completely lost.
There is a great untubbed source within all of us.
A muscle we were never taught to strengthen.
It houses the wisdom of our body and sits quietly waiting for us to land here so we can switch on inside of us.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
This is the first step.
You can learn the hardest,
But you are here with me.
You can become more in control of how you think.
Calmer,
Clearer,
More tranquil.
I thank you universe.
I thank you universe for guarding me here for this quiet moment with my heart and my breath.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Something is spinning us towards the center.
This guidance is coming from the universe.
Now you can accept the invitation to deepen the conversation with your intuition.
It's the calm that exists here.
The choice within the dream.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Placing one of your hands here on your heart,
I would like you to explore the idea that your intuition has the answer somewhere deep within you.
Somewhere in you there is a spark.
There is light.
There is hope that you can withstand all the turbulence of life.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Repeating these words in your mind's eye.
I am loved.
I am capable.
I am brave.
Tend to these truths and whenever you doubt,
Honor what is sacred and come back to this meditation to tap back into what quietly lives within the center of us.
Take a gentle deep breath in,
Wiggling your fingers,
Wiggling your toes,
Opening up your eyes and have a wonderful day.
Namaste.
