Take a lovely,

Deep breath.

Offer your lungs a beautiful stretch and breathe out,

Let go and breathe in,

Breathe out,

Breathe in and breathe out.

And listen to your surroundings,

A forest like you've never seen before,

So green and lush,

Thriving,

Uninterrupted.

And there you are,

Within and surrounded by nature,

Nature that will love you and nurture you and protect you.

Breathe it in,

Breathe deep and breathe full.

The light shining down upon you,

Glistening through the trees,

The warmth gently touching your skin,

Healing,

Holding,

Caring,

Loving.

The moss-covered stones and fallen tree trunks lay either side,

With blue bells showing up,

Showing off.

The sound of birds singing,

Their echoes faint,

The air still and peaceful.

And there you are,

And in the distance,

The sound of a glistening stream,

Flowing gently,

Bouncing over the tops of the stones,

Laying on its bed.

Endlessly graceful movements,

Gliding around the bends effortlessly.

And sit down in the most perfect place for you.

Look around,

Feel the nature around you,

Allow its natural ways to become a part of you.

Feel the Earth's pulse,

Its very own heartbeat,

How alive it is,

How much it loves itself.

And being a part,

A part of the universe within you and around you.

Then you just sit,

And breathe and relax,

And let go.

As you rest and relax and let go,

Perhaps you ponder upon your life,

Where you are right now,

What's going on for you.

Perhaps you feel you've got to a point in life where you realise that you've got to be your very own hero.

Perhaps you're at that point now,

Perhaps you've realised that what you expect from others is not what you're going to receive.

This can feel so hard,

And so painful,

And an uncomfortable realisation to accept.

And it can take time,

And it can feel challenging.

But once you allow this acceptance,

Things can finally start to fall into place.

Because what you do is,

You start to look more inwardly.

You begin to ask yourself for the answers,

Instead of looking to others for them.

You begin to listen more carefully to yourself.

You hear your inner voice talking to you.

You hear your inner voice talking and caring for you,

Looking for solutions to problems.

And sometimes we forget that we can ask ourselves questions.

We can look inward and ask,

My love,

What do we need?

So just pause for a moment and ask,

What do you need?

Place your hand upon your heart.

My love,

What do we need?

Feel the warmth on your chest.

Feel the beats of your heart.

Look inward.

Listen carefully.

Listen inside,

And hear your inner voice telling you everything you need to hear.

What did you hear?

Now with that information,

How can you put it into a gentle solution?

Or how can you take less action,

Depending on if you need to rest and remove some things from your day-to-day life that's causing you harm or stress?

Because sometimes we can take on too much,

Not only in our lives,

But take on stress from other people's lives too.

Sometimes we care so much for others that we forget to take care of ourselves.

Are you feeling that?

Are you feeling that?

Sometimes we are so far down that we can no longer see a way back up,

Or a way to put things down,

A way to let go.

But there is,

There is always a way back up.

And that is by asking,

Asking yourself what you need for you.

Asking yourself what you need for you.

Sometimes something has to give.

But don't let it be you.

Life is about doing what you want for you,

Attending to your own needs,

Loving yourself so deeply that you can feel your very own value running through your veins like that beautiful stream in the forest.

Caring so much about you that you begin to thrive and flourish and flow.

So when you need some answers,

When you need that clarity,

Remember,

Place your hand on your heart and ask.

You will always know what you need.

And now find yourself back in the forest,

The deep green of nature,

The birds singing,

The stream trickling,

The stream trickling and flowing and you are you,

The most amazing human for you.

Be you.

Be your best friend.

Be all you need.

Be the answers for you.

Remember your worth.

Remember that you matter and your feelings matter.

Love your body from the surface of your skin to the depths of your soul.

Every inch of you covered in beauty.

The color of your skin,

The shape of your body,

The depth of your eyes.

You.

Perfection.

Lovable,

Loved,

Wanted and needed for you,

By you.

Always.

It's time.

Time to be your very own hero.

For you.

Each day.

Each moment.

Your own hero.

Because you need you.

You need to do what you need to make sure that you're okay.

You are your number one.

Your very own beautiful inside,

Beautiful outside.

Hero.

So beautiful. I don’t know how you do it, or why it works, but your words transported me to this forest and I felt like you were speaking to me. “Be your best friend”. What a moving and lovely way to start my day. Also, I just loved the bird and forest noises in the background! So fresh and inspiring for the morning.
