This (partly rhyming) sleep meditation helps you to give gratitude to each amazing system of your body in turn. It goes on to help you give gratitude to your incredible mind. It ends with a few minutes of soothing and relaxing nature-inspired soundscape to help you drift off to sleep. There is no bell at the end. All speech and music production is created by me.

You may be aware now that you are breathing,

In and out of your body,

Your mind,

Your body in and out.

And if there were a world in which you were not breathing,

It would be easy to see the enormous gift that breathing is for you in this world.

So take a moment now and put it in your pocket for you to appreciate your breath.

It gives you life.

It keeps going while you are thinking about other things,

Infusing your body with oxygen and removing carbon dioxide that is needed no more.

And your breath supplies your heart with oxygenated blood to pump throughout your body,

Dispersed through your blood vessels and capillaries,

Nourishing your cells with health and wellbeing.

It works day and night and it does not need or ask for thanks.

And yet,

When you hit all the sails from the bottom of your heart whichever part,

You know beyond doubt that you have worked it out and now that you are thanking your heart,

You don't know that it hears you and feels your love until it beats in a rhythm that can rock you gently to sleep.

And you can thank your neurotransmitters for switching off neuropinephrine,

Active in wakefulness,

Which is not needed for the and switching on melatonin that soothes you to sleep while you safely drift and float in your sleepy little boat.

Let's settle into the inside of your head.

The control centre of your body is magnificent.

Everything you think,

Write and speak is as bold as you.

It does all this for you to give it your thanks.

Now,

Within your head are your eyes that is visible for us to behold and when we gaze into the eyes of someone we love,

We are seeing their brain or their soul.

We can share a moment of pure connection.

Thank you eyes,

You,

For all the colours,

Shapes and patterns you bring.

And of course there are your ears,

With which the words and the sounds within which you surround.

The vibrations of life are encoded to meaning so that it all makes sense.

Just hear yourself thanking your ears from within.

Perfect design.

Then there's the incredible smells and tastes.

Hear the language you speak.

Give thanks to your nose so that all of this can happen.

For you to enjoy the richness of life through these remarkable organs.

So next think of your digestive system.

Your stomach.

Your esophagus.

Extracting nutrients from all you ingest.

And using it as fuel to build new cells.

To build new you.

So thank your digestion.

Your magical machine.

Doing all this work so that you can dream.

Let's not forget your reproductive organs that create new life.

The reason you exist.

The key to the future.

A wonderful source of ecstatic pleasure.

Do not be shy.

Celebrate all parts of you.

Now think of your limbs and feel them if you please.

They give you mobility.

Dexterity.

Those enormous powerful muscles.

You learned to coordinate them when you were very small until you were tall.

So thank them my friend.

And now they have nothing to do.

They can rest.

As they deserve.

Your awareness itself.

The part of you that notices the other parts.

Thanks.

How often do we even consider to thank such a remarkable itself.

That it's even possible to thank your awareness for being aware that it is as far as we know preserved habit this earth.

In sync with the whole.

With the genie inside.

Fulfilling its role.

To notice and plan.

To focus our attention on all the important things that had and now comes her moment.

And fill it with thanks for what it does best.

And there are plenty of parts which have not been mentioned.

So notice them all.

Part of one beautiful entity.

Working together in a life of plenty.

And thank your body as a whole.

It's achieving its goal.

Fulfilling its amazing and majestic role.
