This practice guides you towards allowance and letting your challenging thoughts just be as they are, rather than trying to solve or overanalyze. Today, why not simply lean in and feel the space available to all your thoughts and emotions? Without striving to fix or change the discomfort that our minds create, we can potentially change everything.

Welcome,

My name is Carolyn Ann Budgel.

Feel free to either sit,

Stand or lie down and use anything you need to get you as comfortable as possible as we gently explore how our minds get stuck in anxious or stressful thinking.

Relax your body and let your breath be easy.

Today's meditation is designed to help you see any anxious narratives that play out in your mind and to identify them simply as thoughts rather than as truths or descriptors of your worth.

We can welcome everything in and simply acknowledge our experience.

We can handle our own thoughts and our emotions.

They do not define us and they're temporary.

Relax your body and let your breath be easy.

Bring to mind something that has been getting you down lately.

A thought maybe that has been taking up a lot of space in your mind or a challenge that you've been faced with.

And when you consider this,

What arises internally?

Does blame come up or shame towards yourself or another?

Do you battle with yourself around this challenge?

These are all the coping skills that have helped you survive and you've done the best you could.

And now it's time to grow and shift this inner narrative.

And the first step really is acknowledging the patterns and the tightly wound thoughts and to simply let them be.

Continue reflecting upon a challenge in your life or a thought that has been on repeat.

And see if you can relax your body when imagining it and just let it be.

Or think about welcoming it in.

There is space for you to have all your feelings and all your thoughts.

Relax.

Breathe easily.

There is space for everything.

Let it all be.

There is a second here.

You You You Keeping a lighter focus on these thoughts or emotions holding them more in the back of your mind Start to reflect upon what is real in this moment You feel your inhale and exhale Listen to any noises around you in the room you're in or in the space you're in You feel your breath in the air What are you truly thankful for in your life?

All these things are real and true Your emotions and thoughts come and go so let them come and go And come back to what's real Breath Where you are right now And your deep gratitude Breath Where you are right now And your deep gratitude Breath Where you are right now And your deep gratitude Breath Where you are right now And your deep gratitude Breath Breath Breath Breath Breath Breath Rather than perpetuating more stress or anxiety Work on greeting everything with a gentle welcome Shedding light on some of the patterns we carry can be overwhelming So welcome that feeling in as well True healing comes when we offer everything kind attention And know that awareness is the first step and you're really on your way to more and more presence Silently thank yourself for all your efforts today Namaste

Brilliant. I hadn’t come across this meditation before and was having a good day for anxiety, but I wanted to try it because I always really benefit from Carolyn’s meditation’s - I just hope I’ve spelled the name right 🙂

Absolutely a pleasure to spend my morning with you! Felt relief in some troubling thoughts I’ve had recently. A decision I’ve been haggling with. This was a great release to revel in what’s true & just let them be. 🙏🏽

This meditation is a wonderful gift. The more I soften around the fear, the less it controls me. Thank you for helping me to remember. In the crazy overwhelm of life, and the activation that is borne of the never ending newsreel of awfuls, it is easy to forget that all the anxiety needs is my loving attention.
