A brief pause.

Our lives are often so full of events,

Long to-do lists,

Activities and tasks to complete,

So it can be helpful to make space to simply pause and take some time for ourselves.

So let's take a pause together,

Right here,

Right now.

Find a quiet place where you can relax for a few minutes and feel free to close your eyes.

Or if you prefer,

Grab a cup of tea or water and look out the window,

Or do anything that works for you right now.

Begin to bring your awareness to this moment.

It may help to take a couple of deep breaths.

And begin to notice the place where you're in,

What you're wearing,

The position of your body and the contact it makes with the floor or with your chair.

And as you focus on your own body and your surroundings,

Start to become aware of your inner states as well.

How are you feeling?

What kind of thoughts are you having?

Is there anything distracting you?

Any concerns or worries?

Or any exciting thoughts or plans?

During this pause,

Just observe.

Just notice what is happening in this moment.

You don't need to solve anything.

There will be time for that later.

Right now,

This pause,

This space is just for you.

And as you observe,

You deepen your awareness of what's happening in this moment.

Perhaps you can see this space as if you were watching a movie,

The film of your life.

And it allows you to hit the pause button.

You'll be able to unpause and continue later.

But for now,

You're just taking a pause from your daily activities to just be.

So let's remain in silence for a few moments to do just that.

Just being right here,

Right now.

If thoughts or ideas or concerns come to your mind again,

Visualize being able to hit the pause button on a remote control.

And with that,

You're back to this moment,

Right now.

And with that,

You're welcome to finish your pause now or stay here a little bit longer.

If your eyes were closed,

Feel free to open them now.

And don't forget to appreciate yourself for taking this time to create a space fully dedicated to you.

I hope you enjoyed this brief moment to pause.

Have a nice rest of your day and until next time.
